I am fortunate enough to have friends and family that understand me being a furry. And I don't have to worry about hiding files because I have a strict policy of 'If it's mine, you don't touch it unless I say so." Also if people do use my laptop I set them up with what they need to use it for 'out of courtesy', usually including user-names and passwords.
If anyone found out I was a fur and DIDN'T like the idea, Well, I'm the only one in my household that has a stable income and the only one in my group of usual friends that knows their way around electronics so they'd have to suffer. lol
As for people I meet on the street, I could openly admit to them that I am a fur because, A: I'm not exactly the weakest guy you'll see, nor the least intimidating
, B: I have this wonderful ability to be a highly social being. I have VERY few enemies.
In short, I have no need to hide stuff. I'm just special like that. If I did though I would likely just archive all my stuff in a zip, 7z, rar, or similar archive format and change the extension to .cab or the like and put it in my windows folder. Not many people feel a need to dig too deep into a persons files just to find out if they are a fur or not.
