t was thought that the mysterious organization Team Rocket were a bunch of theives and robbers, but in reality they were so much more.
Scientist that were members of Team Rocket and those under control of team rocket made many scientific advancements and discoveries, and even diabolical experiments.
One such experiment Code-named Project PokeMorph, merged the DNA Of humans with Pokemon creating shape shifting humans capable of becoming Pokemon, intended to be agents for Team Rocket, most of these 'Pokemorphs' escaped melding into society or the wild as either Pokemon or humans, some even became Pokemon trainers with a deeper understanding of Pokemon, Pokemorphs in either form are indistinguishable between normal humans and normal Pokemon in either form they choose to be in. A small group of Pokemorphs have learned of another project:pokemorph, located somewhere in Cianwood city, their goal is to shut down these experiments before any more humans are forcefully turned into Pokemorphs.
----Somewhere near New Bark Town, Pokemon Ranch---
A white furred Alolan Vulpix waited outside of a house in the ranch, she could smell breakfast cooking from the outside, but her mind was elsewhere...
-
--Outskirts of New Bark Town--
Luke sat up with a yawn, stretching himself out sleepily. Morning light streamed through the shards of broken glass in the window. He'd been squatting in this abandoned house on the edge of the forest for about two weeks now, and had started to think of it as his own. He ran his fingers through his blue-tinged hair, still in human form for the moment.
That changed when he heard a sudden noise rising up from the floor below him. Someone was coming inside! Luke quickly transformed himself into a Lucario, and began creeping over to the stairs silently.
-
*** Undisclosed Location ***
A Crimson Lucario crept about the forest with dual Swords (https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/deusex/images/9/90/Dts.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20110706010514&path-prefix=en) that, while inactive, were held in his hands. He knew not where he was, but followed instinct as he moved about. As a precaution, he tapped in a command to his left gauntlet and was rendered nearly invisible. The most anyone would see was what looked like a vague, shimmering figure. He saw an abandoned house nearby, and started for it. Something told him he needed to be there.
-
*New Bark Town Forest*
A sudden psychic burst knocked down a few trees and knocked out power for a few seconds. In the epicenter, a strange figure was picking himself up. His face was obscured by a simple burlap hood.
Ray looked towards New Bark Town. That's where the most thoughts were echoing from. He shakily started towards town, trying his hardest to utilize psychic energy to at least obscure his face.
-
Luke peered down the stairway and saw a trio of young humans entering the house. They were all tromping around and excitedly giggling to one another. Luke noticed with dread that they all wore a few pokeballs around their belts. These were trainers.
Normally he'd just switch back to human form to avoid them, but right now he was faced with a dilemma. If they saw him while in human form, they might tell the others in town that someone was living here in the abandonded house, and the authorities would make a visit. He certainly didn't want that.
Of course, on the other hand, if he confronted them while in his lucario form, they might try to catch him.
Luke pondered his options indecisively, staying hidden at the top of the stairs for the moment. Suddenly, his thoughts were interrupted by a loud cracking sound that echoed out from the forest. The youngsters on the floor below looked up in surprise at it, and walked over to a window in the side of the house to look outside.
Deciding this could be his only chance to escape, Luke bolted down the stairs and towards the door.
-
Unfortunatly For Luke as he would exit the abadoned house he would find the Alolan vulpix at the door step likely tripping over her, she had heard some noise from the nearby ranch that she and her brother owned and had decided to investigate the old house... she had also noticed some human trainers enter the house a few minutes ago, this was her home so she knew the grounds very well.
-
Luke was still looking over his shoulder as he exited the house, watching the group of trainers, so he ran smack into the vulpix at the door and stumbled onto his face. The trainers behind him heard the noise caused by his fall, and turned around from the window.
"Hey guys, look!" one young boy shouted, pointing at Luke and the vulpix. Luke felt his blood run cold.
"Out of my way!" he hissed at the other pokemon, picking himself up off the ground and preparing to make a break for the forest.
-
The ghostly shimmer that was K'Tath stood still, but he, too, was faced with a dilemma; Luke was running straight for him. If he moved, he risked Luke seeing his shimmering form - only a slight chance, but still not one he wanted to take. On the other hand, if he stood still, Luke would plow right into him. And those trainers were an added threat - a Lucario as K'Tath, with tech salvaged from an otherworldly wreck on his wrists, would make a prime prize for one of those trainers - and K'Tath did not fancy being, as he thought of it, "enslaved."
For now, all K'Tath could hope for was that Luke altered course and ran past him, his sight brushing off K'Tath's shimmering form as just part of the surrounding foliage.
-
Luke bounded forward as fast as his paws could carry him, running blindly towards the forest. Behind him, the group of trainers had left the house and began to give chase, seemingly not having noticed the vulpix that sat crouched near the door.
"Oof!" Luke let out a puff of air as he yet again smacked into something. But looking up, he couldn't tell what he'd run into this time. Nothing seemed to be there except....a shimmer of light? Luke squinted his eyes in confusion, still dazed from his headlong crash.
-
Unfortunately for K'Tath, Luke slammed into him with enough to disrupt his personal cloaking device, and he seemingly appeared from thin air. He gazed at Luke, but that gaze soon shifted to the trainers in pursuit. He growled fiercely, cocking his right arm back as a pair of wrist blades flashed out of the right gauntlet with a clearly heard SCHTWING!!! and in an instant, he cloaked again, the intent here to provide a degree of fear in the trainers, who if they had any sense of self-preservation, they'd back off, not wanting to provoke him. Of course, K'Tath wasn't really wanting to hurt them - he just wanted them to leave without incident.
-
Luke's mind raced, unsure of what he'd seen. For an instant, a lucario with red fur brandishing some kind of bladed weapon had blinked into existence in front of him. Behind him, he heard the kids that had been chasing him scream in fear and dash away. They ran back towards New Bark Town.
Luke struggled to his feet, dusting himself off from the fall. "H-hello? Is someone there?" he called uncertainly. Had he hallucinated the other pokemon? Surely not, since those trainers were fleeing the woods. He looked around, but couldn't see anyone else in the area.
-
the icy colored Vulpix came out of one of the nearby bushes "What the Giratina is going on here?" She asked looking around seeing the fleeing trainers.
-
Luke glanced back upon hearing a voice behind him, noticing the same vulpix he'd tripped over earlier. "I'm not sure exactly. I could have sworn I saw a red lucario with some kind of knife on his wrist...but he just vanished into thin air!" he exclaimed. "Maybe I'm going crazy..." he trailed off, rubbing the side of his temple with one paw.
-
"No, you're not crazy," K'Tath finally spoke. He tapped his gauntlet, and appeared once more. The wrist blades retracted back into his gauntlet. "I know not where this tech came from, but I will admit, it has its uses." He clipped the two sword hilts he was holding to his belt. On examination, one would see K'Tath was wearing patchwork armor, pieced together from various materials, but created in such a way so as not to restrict his movement. He was also wearing a metal mask that seemed modified to fit his face. His snout was seen, but the rest of his face was hidden behind the mask.
-
Luke stepped back, startled and more than a little nervous at the sudden appearance of the armored red lucario.
"Who are you?" he asked suspiciously. The fur on the back of his neck stood up, reflecting his state of alarm.
-
"A good question... for another time," K'Tath responded. "We should leave this area, before the trainers' friends - or, god forbid, the authorities - come looking. If we're lucky, they'll think that the trainers were imagining things."
-
Luke looked back at the house regretfully. It seemed as though he'd have to find somewhere new to live after all.
"Alright, you have a point. Do you know any safe place we could hide out? That house was the only place I have to stay," he said mournfully.
-
"And for that matter what are you both doing here?" the Vulpix asked walking in between the two jackal like pokemon.
-
"I have no real place to stay - and to answer your question, whoever you are, we just chanced to meet under less-than-ideal circumstances; I have no real business here other than following an instinct I had, and you heard him when he said that house was the only place he had," K'Tath said. He sighed. "We can speak more of this when we get clear of here; do you have a place to stay? Otherwise, we'll have to wing it."
-
"i'm technically the co owner of the ranch just a few feet from where you are." the Vulpix said pointing to the Fence line. "there's a house we can go to, i think we have a couple extra pokemon rooms..." The snowy Vulpix replied begining to lead the way to the Ranch's grounds "the abandoned house has been there forever, we have no idea who built it. It was here when we built the ranch years ago, if you want your welcome to stay there,if you don't like the ranch house..."
-
"Well thank you for your generosity. I've been staying there for some time," Luke admitted. "For now, let's get out of here! I don't want to be around when the police come by..."
-
"Nor do I," K'Tath agreed. He started for the fence line, briefly considering reactivating his personal cloaking device, but then deciding against it because it served it's purpose already. Still, his hands remained within a few inches of his weapons clipped to his belt. Just shy of the fence, however, he stopped, his ears perked up and listening intently. It seemed he stared at the field beyond the fence, but in reality, his mask was cycling through various spectrums of light trying to detect any other life on the ranch. As his back was turned to Luke, he might notice a strange, flashlight-looking item tucked behind K'Tath's right shoulder. What it's purpose was would remain unclear, but it was attached to a support that would bring it over his shoulder when needed.
Personal cloaking device, wrist blades, dual swords, and now this strange device... one would wonder just what K'Tath was doing with such tech, not to mention why. It almost seemed as though he were meant for more than defeating other Pokemon - no, the gear he carried was meant for something else. But what?
-
Luke pondered in his head the possible reasons for why this strange lucario was decked out in so many different gadgets and weapons. As he hopped over the fence, he turned to the other pokemon questioningly.
"I know you said I should ask about this later, but...uh...what's with all this gear you have on? You don't have this for fighting pokemon, do you? Seems a little overkill," he said.
-
"indeed." The Vulpix replied as she continued across the field there were a few MilkTanks and mareep on the field mostly grazing. "I havn't seen such tech since i saw a mewtwo." the Vulpix added.
-
"To be honest, I don't know why I was trained to use this tech, any more than I know where it came from," K'Tath said. He leapt over the fence. "All I know is that they did not intend me to hunt other Pokemon. Not the normal ones, anyway. They were after something else. But I know not what, as I didn't stick around long enough to find out." He paused as he walked, quietly sighing. "One would think that even they would not stoop so low as to train one as I like an assassin..."
-
Luke's ears perked up with interest at what the other lucario had said.
"Who are the "they" that you're talking about?" he asked.
-
Ray felt eyes upon him as he made a bee-line for the Poke-mart. Unguarded thoughts bombarded his mind, as he had very little control of his newfound psychic prowess.
‘Who is that?’
‘What’s wrong with him?’
‘Where’s he from?’
Ray bustled himself through the doors of the Mart, his head wracked with pain. As he approached the counter, he spoke.
“Painkillers. Something for headaches.”
At least, Ray thought he spoke. The clerk looked confused as Ray realized that he had lost the power of speech. He ran from the store, bolted down the road and tried to find a quiet place. Whispers of thoughts, not wholly his own, still echoed through his mind, even in his solitude.
-
"A story for another time - suffice to say, I don't know who they are, but they are well-funded," K'Tath replied. He wordlessly continued toward the ranch proper.
-
Luke followed, scratching his chin in thought. "Well, if you remember any details about them, let me know. I'm hoping to find out more information about the ones who experimented on me...but that's also a story for another time," he said.
He looked over at the alolan vulpix who'd invited them this way. "So, you say you are the co-owner of this ranch? Who's the other owner?" he asked.
-
the loud sound of a dragon like pokemon, speifially a Charizard could be heard overhead.
"Well since I think we all know our secrets...Him." The white colored Vulpix said pointing to the Charizard.
-
Luke balked at the massive orange dragon flying over their heads. "Oh. H-he's friendly, right?" he asked nervously.
-
"If he wasn't, he'd have torched us the second he saw us," K'Tath scoffed. "And you do not know all my secrets... there are some things about me that were never meant for mortal eyes to see. And I'll leave it at that." He walked up onto the front porch, looking around slowly.
-
Luke followed behind him meekly. "What's your name, by the way?" he asked. "We should have something to call each other besides 'hey, you!', don't you think?"
-
"My name... is unimportant. For now, call me K'Tath," K'Tath answered. He wasn't sure this... outsider... was ready to know his real name. And for now, he preferred his real name be obscured and forgotten. Best let his good cousin feel that he and his are the last of the family bloodline.
(Just for the record, I pronounce his name Kay-Tath.)
-
The Charizard landed near the pouch and used his clawed hand to open the door.
"You'd be surprized what i know." the Vulpix replied 'bouncing' into the house.
-
Luke dipped his head politely to the charizard, nervously sidestepping by him, and then followed the vulpix into the house. "Can I know your name as well? I'm Luke, by the way," he said as he stepped inside.
-
K'Tath, having already moved inside with a respectful nod to the Charizard, wandered over to one of the windows, removing a wire from his mask. He then pulled the mask from his face with a loud pop! and sighed wearily. He did not face the others, but if they could see the faint reflection, they would see eyes that were not that of a Lucario - narrow black slits surrounded by a pool of amber yellow that seemed to churn like clouds. He held the mask in his right hand, then, as though oblivious to those around him, sang so quietly,
"Maybe in another life, I could find you there... pulled away before your time, I can't deal, it's so unfair, and it feels... and it feels like, heaven's so far away... and it feels... yeah, it feels like the world has grown cold, now that you've gone away..."
Many messages could be taken from that, intended or no. K'Tath seemed not to realize others were present, or he simply didn't care as he closed his eyes to hide the moisture.
(OOC: Seeing as I have decided to use this char outside this RP, I will be altering his story to some degree. But what that story is, I leave to you to ascertain. But he will still be a Lucario Pokemorph with crimson fur.)
-
Luke turned his head at the sound of faint singing to look at K'Tath. He thought about asking the other pokemon about it, but then thought better of it. K'Tath was unfriendly enough as it is, he didn't want to make the situation worse by asking questions about something that might be a sensitive issue.
After all, Luke desperately needed K'Tath to answer his questions. If the people who experimented on him were who he thought they were, then K'Tath might have some of the vital information he needed. He figured it'd be better to let the minor questions lie in the interest of more important things.
He shifted nervously from paw to paw, still eyeing the charizard at the door uncomfortably. He didn't think he'd get used to being around such a powerful pokemon anytime soon. "So, uh, how did a pokemon like you come to own this ranch?" he asked the snow-colored vulpix.
-
Ray stumbled from a treeline near the ranch, his head wracked with pain. He couldn't understand why, or why he could still hear voices even though he was so far away from town. It angered him. Greatly. Ray turned towards town, facing the treeline. His head was killing him now. Suddenly, shimmering stripes of energy shot from the strange something-Unown hybrid, and felled a few trees. Ray felt better afterwards, his head wasn't hurting anymore. He straightened himself up, looked about and spotted the ranch. Figuring he could get some help, Ray started towards the ranch, not realizing he had dropped his illusory disguise. What was approaching the ranch now was some sort of purple and black-tinged creature with a singular gigantic eye.
-
K'Tath felt something, and he opened his eyes and spotted this creature. His response was immediate. "Contact, dead ahead," he spoke loud enough for the others to hear. He put his mask back on and reattached the wire, and cloaked as he moved away from the window. He didn't know what this creature was, and he wasn't gonna take chances until he could verify that this thing was not hostile.
-
Luke looked over in confusion at K'Tath's words. "Contact? What do you me-OHGODWHATISTHAT?!!" he yelped with alarm as he looked out the window.
Outside, he could see the strange, one-eyed creature closing in on the ranch. Was it some kind of monser?! He'd never seen anything like it before in his life!
Then, Luke noticed that K'Tath was not visible anymore. Had the crimson lucario abandoned them? he worried. He glanced around frantically. "Hey, where'd you go? What's happening?!" he asked.
-
"Jumpy aren't you?" asked a Firey colored Ninetails, stepping into the room having picked up on the commotion.
-
"Quiet!" K'Tath scolded in a hushed tone, the sound heading toward the kitchen. "I haven't gone anywhere, but I am not going to present myself as a target!"
-
Luke's head whipped around towards the sound of K'Tath's voice, and he briefly saw a shimmer of light moving through the kitchen. He figured K'Tath was going to hide out there.
"Wait, who are you?" he asked, confused, as a ninetails stepped inside the room. Nothing seemed to make sense at the moment, and he moved cautiously away from the window, still keeping his eyes on the odd creature outside.
-
"The Alolan Vulpix, who led you in here." the Ninetails replied "You didn't come here for the distress call, did you?"
-
Ray stopped a few feet from the door, his eye shifting about in its socket. He could sense others inside this home, but they seemed agitated. He turned to look back at the forest, now frightened. Had something followed him from the forest? Ray knocked gently, yet rapidly, on the door, now convinced something was stalking him.
-
Luke jumped in surprise. "I-it's knocking!" he said fearfully to the ninetales. He hadn't expected that. He'd been thinking the odd creature would bust the door down.
Behind his back, Luke steadily began charging an aura ball in one paw. He wasn't going to be defenseless if this thing got in! "Whatever you are, leave us alone!" he cried out.
-
The Ninetails whipped Luke with one of her tails and walked over to the door. "What's wrong?" she asked as she opened the door. "And what happened to you?" she asked Ray
-
Ray gesticulated wildly, as if he was speaking. Which, to the unfortunate creature, he thought he was.
“Look, I’m not sure. I’m running from whatever’s got you all spooked. I didn’t-“
He stopped, realized he couldn’t be heard, and began making the motions of writing on paper.
-
Luke bolted from the room as soon as the door was opened. He dove under a table in the kitchen.
"AAAHH! iT GOT INSIDE!" he shouted, hoping to alert K'Tath, wherever the other lucario had gotten to. He covered his head with a nearby pot and whimpered fearfully.
-
Ray gesticulated wildly, as if he was speaking. Which, to the unfortunate creature, he thought he was.
“Look, I’m not sure. I’m running from whatever’s got you all spooked. I didn’t-“
He stopped, realized he couldn’t be heard, and began making the motions of writing on paper.
turning to sigh at the whimpering lucario the nintails nodded walking furthr into the home to get a notebook and mechanicle pencil handing it to the odd being, when she got back to the door, she felt that she had something in common with this odd creature.
-
K'Tath was unfazed by the creature. He had seen worse things than that. Still, he remained cloaked until this creature's motives could be verified.
-
Ray quickly jotted down a few messages.
‘Can’t speak. Don’t know who I am. What scared your friend?’
-
"You." the Ninetails replied pointing a tail at the odd creature.
-
Luke rose up and peered over the kitchen counter at the main entranceway, the pot still comically perched on his head.
"W-what's going on? Is it safe?" he called tentatively.
-
K'Tath remained cloaked, scanning this creature with his mask. So far, it had yet to make a hostile gesture. And K'Tath hoped it stayed that way. For now, he deactivated his cloaking device, making his presence known to the creature.
-
Ray’s eye locked on the ninetails. He quickly scrabbled something, scratched it out and wrote something else.
‘Disguise is gone? Sorry.’
As Luke spoke, Ray’s eye snapped to him. The creature looked him up and down, head cocked to one side.
-
"What disguise?" The ninetails asked two of her tails acting out a shrugging motion...
-
"Uh...hello there?" Luke said warily, raising one paw in response to the cyclops's gaze. It unnerved him to be in its line of sight.
-
"What's up with you?" A charmeleon, that had been standin behind Luke asked.
-
This evidently startled K'Tath, as he jumped, right hand back, and the wrist blades extended in an instant. It took a few moments for K'Tath to realize this one wasn't a threat, and he retracted his wrist blades.
"You shouldn't sneak up on people," he told the Charmeleon.
-
"Bah!" Luke shouted in surprise, jumping at the sound of a voice behind him and causing the pot to clatter noisily to the floor. He sighed with relief when he realized the charmeleon meant him no harm.
"Geez, just how many pokemon live here?!" he asked.
-
"I live her and usually just 3 ,but we're not exactly Pokemon" The Charmeleon replied, Turning to K'tath "I live here." he added
-
"Oh, you aren't?" Luke asked curiously. "Hwat exactly are you, then?"
-
"I can see that," K'Tath scoffed. "It's still not polite to sneak up on someone like that." He grabbed and activated one of his swords, the blue blade coming to life instantly in a crackle of tech. "Some... are more fatal than others when startled." He extinguished the blade and clipped it back to his belt.
-
Ray blinked slowly.
Oh...they can see me. He thought, though he was not aware that the thought had been projected psychically to the others in the room.
-
Luke saw the creature by the door slowly blink its one, giant eye. Then, he felt a strange pressure on his head, as if something was pressing against his mind.
"Oh....see me..." he heard some kind of garbled speech echo in his mind. Unnerved, Luke backed up further into the kitchen, away from the creature's gaze. "W-what was that?!" he asked.
-
K'Tath was suspicious of the creature. In a way, it reminded him of a race of creatures he saw... elsewhere, but he could not remember their name. They, too, had one eye. Still, both of K'Tath's hands rested on the hilts of his inactive swords, ready to draw them when needed. And, just in case, he had the "flashlight" humming, but not armed. He was not going to be caught flat-footed.
-
"Were you all drawn here by the 'signal?" the Charmeleon asked.
"Would you all just calm down, already?" The icy Vulpix asked.
-
-BZZZ-
"Entering the Fire Wing"
"Confirmed. Proceed cautiously"
-BZZZ-
"The room has been gassed transport. You can bring subject 42 to the experiment room."
-------
Jax heard all this over the transport's walkie-talkie, as the room was being gassed. Jax then slowly morphed into his Charizard form, with black and purple scales due to a failed stealth modification, and smelled the gas. His eyes widened when he smelled propane. He slowly grinned. "You are idiots." The transport walked in with the stretcher strapped on his Titanium Infused Steel Exo-Suit. Jax then looked at him, the transport looked at Jax. The transport looked at the air composition. "You've got to be kidd-" His words stopped as Jax lit a fire, which ran through the Piping system, and caused a fireball that could be seen for miles.
-
Luke turned to the charmeleon in confusion. "Signal? What signal?" he asked, now overwhelmed with the number of strange things that had happened today. He turned back to the alolan vulpix when she spoke. "Can you explain what's going on, then?!" he said.
-
"I confess, I too am curious about this... signal," K'Tath said. "I may have picked one up, but to be sure, I need to know what signal you refer to."
-
"Only pokemorphs would have picked it up, but it was a sort of distress call that originated from this house..." the Charmeleon explained." I found a nearby team rocket lab and their further experimenting on pokemorphs...."
the vulpix turned to Luke "You freaked out at our visitor and.... well now..." Roxy the icy vulpix or vulpix 'morph' responded.
-
Luke rubbed the back of his head, embarrassed. "Ah, heh, I didn't know I could do that..." he mumbled. Then, as if suddenly realizing something, his attention snapped to the charizard.
"There's a Team Rocket lab near here? Where exactly?!" he demanded.
-
K'Tath didn't voice any response to this news, but merely listened intently.
-
Ray stared at nothing, now confused.
Wait, you can hear me?
He was obviously excited now, the prospect of being heard and having a conversation releaved him of his loneliness, if even for a moment.
-
Luke stumbled and grabbed his head as another wave of pressure fell over his mind.
Wait, you can hear me? he heard a strange voice intone, much clearer this time than the last. He turned back to the strange one-eyed creature, now certain it must be coming from him.
"Agh, yes I can hear that. You're splitting my head open! How...what is this?" he asked, confused at how he could hear a voice despite the creature's lips not moving.
-
THe Icy Vulpix stepped near Luke and used her own psychic abilities to calm his headache. "He's speaking to you telepathically." the Vulpix explained
'Cianwood city, is where the lab is located, i had hoped to form a team to bust the pokemorphs out before we destroyed the lab ,but looking at the people around me.... "He paused and put his clawed hand to his face.
-
K'Tath also heard the creature, but he was more interested in this "signal" was mentioned. Upon explanation, memories flashed through his head of his training. His harsh, brutal training. His right hand balled into a fist, but his facial expression was hidden behind his hunting mask.
-
Luke smiled gratefully at the vulpix. "Thank you, that feels better. I've never communicated telepathically before..." he said, a little weary.
He looked up upon hearing the charizard's words. "I'll join you! I know I might not look like much, but I've got to get into one of those labs," he said eagerly. He looked over at K'Tath. "Besides, maybe if you get him to join we'd have some more fighting power."
-
(The following was discussed between myself and Alessia)
If the Vulpic looked over to a nearby window, she'd see man with a white uniform that had a big red R emblazoned on it. He was looking through the window at those assembled, and was taking great pains not to be seen, it seemed. K'Tath had his back turned, and seemed not to realize this interloper was present.
That changed in an instant when the intruder's radio went off: "All units, status report."
K'Tath snarled, his whole body jerking around and spotting the intruder. His wrist blade extended and his PCD engaged, his eyes flashing for a split second upon cloaking. The man took off running, and K'Tath dashed after him. But he didn't directly chase him; instead, he went into the surrounding forest and ahead of the interloper's path. And he played right into it. He activated a radio jamming signal, and waited. When the man was about to dash past him, K'Tath jabbed the blades through the man's body, and made sure he was dead before dropping him. "Where we are going... you cannot follow," he whispered, before retrieving a vial and pouring a corrosive blue liquid over the body. The body disintegrated, and K'Tath walked back to the ranch, de-cloaking as he walked through the doorway.
-
Nova stared at the transports body, looking for his keycard. He heard sirens that could no doubt be heard from quite aways from the lab, and spotted the keycard. He unlocked the cell door, walked out and turned left, toward the lab. "It'd be amazing if they didn't take apart the stuff I built." he thought to himself. Upon breaking down the lab door, the keycard didn't work, he went to where he was working a week ago and found the tech that he created. Two reconassaiance drones and a pair of swords that would fit under his sleeves. He used to have another set, but they were stolen. He put them on and tested them on the nearest guard. "Perfect." he grinned wickedly. He proceeded to look for the sign to the car garage. He's always wanted to drive one of those big transport trucks.
-
"Fighting power isn't exactly what we're looking for." The Charmeleon noted.
"More like commandos." Roxi the icy Vulpix added.
(sorry PSU fried, had to get a new one)
-
"Whatever we're looking for, I would advise we discuss it in a more secure location," K'Tath said. "I took care of your interloper, but it won't be long before his friends are spread across this region looking for him." He retracted his blood-caked wrist blades as he said this. "Only so much I can do against that many enemies at once."
-
"You seemed to have it under control pretty easily," Luke said, his eyes wide at the attack he'd just witnessed. "I'm also in favor of getting out of here as soon as possible, though. Who knows when someone else will come looking? Plus the police from New Bark Town may search the area after those kids we scared tell their story."
-
"The kids I scared do not concern me - at most, the police will assume the kids were ingesting... questionable material. Either that or they'd seen one too many sci-fi movies, and were imagining things out here," K'Tath said, turning his head to look Luke dead in the eyes. "The man I slew... I recognize the symbol on his uniform. I saw it all too often during my... training. But we must leave, before more of them show up. Present company considered, I can survive one or two of the enemy. More than that..." he indicated the Charizard. "... even he would have to work to keep them at bay without being carved to pieces." He looked to the Vulpix. "Have you any other safe havens?"

" First of all that abandoned house is considered haunted so the police will likely consider anything the boys said to be ghost, secondly." The Charmeleon ,by the name of Tony spoke as he stepped deeper into the home and opened a closet "We have a secret bunker here with a few escape tunnels running into places of new bark town in case a rocket ambush were to occur here, needless to say this isn't the first time rockets have come here the ranch is well known to be a secret pokemorph haven to certain pokemorph groups." He explained.
"As my lizard friend stated this isn't our first encounter."Roxi, the Icy Vulpix added opening the secret entrance to the bunker, hidden behind a false wall in the back of the closet.
"I'll lock the door and engage the lockdown systems.." Tony added as he went to the front door to lock it...
-
K'Tath was the first to start for the escape tunnel, being ready to engage his PCD if needed.
-
Luke followed behind K'Tath, eager to start the journey towards the labs but also thankful to have someone with combat abilities in front of him.
-
K'Tath remained silent, but upon entering the tunnel, he stopped, and subtly began to tremble. This tunnel... brought back memories. He could faintly hear hissing, though he was not sure if they were in the tunnel, or merely his imagination.
The others would hear nothing, see nothing but a combat-hardened Lucario stopped and subtly trembling for seemingly no reason.

the icy Vulpix jumped onto the back of the Lucario, possibly pushing him into the tunnel entrance which lead to a slide down to an underground bunker....
-
Luke stopped walking abruptly, almost knocking into K'Tath before he realized that the heavily-equipped lucario was not moving forward anymore. He noticed that the fearsome pokemon was shaking, as if something ahead of them had set him off. Worried, Luke tried to catch a glimpse of whatever was further down the tunnel.
"Hey, K'Tath? What is it? Is there something wrong?" he asked in confusion. He couldn't see whatever it was that had caused the crimson lucario to halt. Then, before K'Tath even had a chance to reply, the Alolan vulpix shot over his shoulder from the entrance to the tunnel and leaped onto K'Tath's back, propelling him forward and down some kind of sliding incline. Shocked by the vulpix's sudden appearance and the empty space that had just opened up in front of him, Luke stumbled forward and felt his paws lose their purchase on the ground.
"W-w-WOAH!" he yelped in panic as he careened forward over the edge, and slid down the slope head first.
-
The second K'Tath was at the bottom of that slide, he leapt up, extended his wrist blades, and held them just under the Vulpix's chin. "Do that again, and you will learn in the worst of ways that Team Rocket is the least of your concerns..." he growled.
-
"Chill, or I will chill the air for you..." Roxi Growled back at K'tath, I sensed more rockets coming anyway, we needed to get out of sight of the windows... I can't risk revealing our secret base on account of your, fears..." She explained...
The Charmeleon soon followed behind the others and spotte K'tath. "I'd advise you to stand down or Team Rocket will be your primary concern.... they spotted something and are all over the ranch..." he informed the others.
-
Luke had finished his descent somewhat less gracefully, tumbling head first and landing after several forward somersaults at the end of the slide. He stood up from the ground, dusting himself off and trying to regain a little dignity.
Then he heard what the charmeleon had said. "They're here already?!" he whispered fearfully. "C'mon, let's get going! Lead the way!"
-
K'Tath reluctantly sheathed his blades and made his way through the tunnels, using his hunting mask's different vision modes to navigate the darkness.
-
The Charmeleon stepped in front of K'tath' "The command center is that way..." He said pointing to the door behind the lucario just to the left of the slide exit.
-
K'Tath just growled irritably and headed into the command center.
-
Luke followed behind the other two pokemon, stepping cautiously in the darkened tunnel so as not to trip on anything.
"Command center? What do you mean by command center?" he asked as he stepped into the room.

Roxi was already in the command center now as a Snowy Ninetails her tails pressed a few buttons a circular desk would come up from the floor and a hologram projected map of Johto would come up on the table... various consoles lined the walls as well as a few computers.
As Tony, the Charmeleon stepped into the command center he asked "Does that answer question?"
-
K'Tath looked around the room, his hand briefly moving for his mask, but quickly fell away. "So we're in here... what's next?"
-
"Our next move is to prepare ourselves for the mission and then take the tunnel to cherrygrove city that should leave us far enough away from the ranch to avoid the Rockets..." The Charmeleon explained, the ninetails behind him pressing some buttons on a console causing the map to show the tunnel system and the highlight the tunnel they should take.
-
K'Tath saw the tunnel, and immediately, in the back of his mind, he heard the hissing again. Those things always did like dark, damp places like tunnels. He could hear the screams... the gunfire... the...
-
Luke lightly tapped K'Tath on the shoulder. The other lucario looked like he was about to pass out or something, trembling slightly with a faraway look in his eyes.
"Hey, you alright there?" he asked with concern. It seemed like being underground had him shaken up for some reason.

Roxi noticed something about K'Tath "Hey you okay you look exactly like you did before coming down here." the icy Ninetails asked. "These tunnels are safe.."
The Charmeleon stepped behind K'Tath and set his claw on his shoulder "Can I trust that you can do what you need to do?" he asked.
-
K'Tath snapped back to reality, and spoke, "Just point me at the Rockets, I'll make sure they stay down. They have a lot to answer for."
-
"That's not the answer I was looking for, but I think i'll have to take it, just know that if you freeze up on me i will be the one mowing you down as i walk over you." The Charmeleon replied.
"You sure about that?" Roxi asked as she passed by K'Tath.
-
"Team Rocket... are not the only enemies I ever faced, nor are they the most terrifying," K'Tath whispered to Roxi. "But they have a lot to answer for... and come hell or high water, they will answer for what they did if it's the last thing I do..." He then looked to Tony. "And you may think your tunnels are safe... but those things... Team Rocket did not understand them, but they still had a few, from the crashed ship my gear originated from. Not long after I escaped, they had a... containment breach... and some of them got loose. And as I remember it, they like dark, damp tunnels like yours."
-
Hearing K'Tath's warning, Luke began to look around at the tunnel entrances nervously. "W-what are they?" he asked, starting to picture some terrifying, many-legged beast in his mind. "They wouldn't have wandered this far out, would they?!"
-
"I wish I knew," K'Tath admitted. "I don't know where they are, but I know they're... vicious. They'll tear you apart with their hands and mouth... and that tail of theirs... might as well be their spear. They certainly use it like one."
-
Luke swallowed nervously, growing more on edge with each word K'Tath said. He backed away from the tunnel entrances and further into the control room, eyeing them with apprehension.
"Ah...why don't we get a move on with our plan, then?" he suggested, his voice shaky.

"Because your holding up the line..." The CHarmeleon replied.
-
"Holding up the line?" Luke asked, confused. "Am I blocking you?" He was just standing in the middle of the control room.
-
K'Tath started for the door, doing a check of his armor's systems as he went.
-
"We need everybody for this to work." Tony Growled trying to push the Lucario out of the room
Roxi followed along side K'Tath. "Ya know even if it's true it's not very nice to scare people with what's in these caves..." She said, soon turning to freeze a nearby Zubat..
-
"It's even worse to leave such intel unspoken when you run into the creatures later," K'Tath countered. "If they are here, you now at least know about them... and know not to let them get close. Had I not spoken up, you'd be completely unprepared to face them should they come knocking."

"I don't see what they have to gain here." the charmander responded... "along with the Rockets constantly above ground, the caves are very barren... aside from the occasional Zubat, Diglett or Sandshrew."
