I've been a furry for quite some time, but I am one of those oddballs that does not have a fursona.
I spend my time editing and proof-reading, and note-taking at my local university.
I also recently (today!) had the news that I am now a part of a national bat care network, as a bat carer/rehabilitator.
I am also planning to increase my experience of practical wildlife conservation in 2019.
Cateline is actually the name of my anthro' RP character on Furcadia, while I tend to go by Nacht(zehren).
I am UK-based.

Welcome to the furry forums! I wouldn't say you're an oddball since plenty of furries out there don't have a fursona.

Thanks for the welcome! I guess at least in the circles I used to run in back when I was last -in- the fandom to some degree, I didn't encounter anyone without one. Hence my current perception.

Welcome to the forums~! I hope you have a great time here! Don't worry about not having a fursona, there are a lot of people in the fandom without one, which isn't a bad thing! :P
Also, congrats on getting a position at the bat care center! That sounds like an amazing job~!

Thanks! It's mostly remote done; I'll be caring for the bats in my home (my spouse has already eagerly said 'so goth we have bats in the house' when I had flying residents the last time). The Network will put me in touch with local members of the public who have found bats, to either deliver them to me or I'll go and pick them up :)
It may not be my main job (I have 2 income-earning things) but, it is what gives me a sense of purpose.

Enjoy your time here, if you are still interested in roleplay there's a roleplay section, if your into furry sci-fi I recommend Galactic Society in the Fun Rp section, we have a large universe that's very alive with people, it's a little slow right now could be due to school and such -shrug-
otherwise look around and have fun.
