I have to ask, because I am curious if other people enjoy this activity from time to time.
Do you find yourself sleepy or tired during some parts of the day and do you indulge into them and take a short sleep so you can rejuvenate yourself?
I don't do it that often, but when I do, I feel a lot better. I might do it maybe once every two weeks, but I wish I could do it a lot more than that. School, work, errands, etc, sometimes it seems impossible to have time for naps.
-
I generally dont nap even though I am tired a lot and sleep late a bunch as of now. The closes I generally get to napping nodding off for a second if I am board or not doing anything but I usually quickly snap back.
-
Frequently, like every day or two. Occasionally multiple times a day. It's been worse lately with school because I sometimes stay up stupidly late to work on homework. Without school and with a normal work schedule it wasn't nearly this bad.
-
I'd love to nap, but I seem to be psychologically (or whatever) incapable of sleeping during daytime, except for abnormal circumstances. (Like no sleep in more than 36 hours, for example)
Life is unfair... :c
-
I enjoy waking up early, doing something almost useless and napping a few times while waking up.
Sometimes I sleep during the day-day. But that has to be strictly induced.
If just zoning out and letting my mind wander with my eyes closed is considered napping, I would say I nap at least 3 times a day.
-
I usually get the urge to nap, but I tend to avoid doing so. I found to kinda messes me up for the rest of the day. I don't get any energy from it and it actually makes me quite drowsy for hours after, and it gives me a headache and eye pain.
I prefer to just wait 'till night for sleep.
-
I try not to nap during the day, because I don't want to end up staying up till 5am. Also, it's been ingrained in my head by my family that napping during the day is what lazy people do.
-
I used to take naps after college classes but recently I have more been drinking energy drinks because of projects I have to finish. I can't wait for classes to be done...
-
I take naps nearly every day and they last up to four hours. Yeah I feel some energy restored, but I usually wake up dizzy and upset.
-
Sometimes. Really depends on whether or not I feel tired. I try not to nap when I'm feeling upset or frustrated because otherwise I'm just going to be lying there, simmering in my own stress.
At best, I'll just lie down and clear my mind. Maybe I'll fall asleep, maybe I won't.
-
i avoid taking nap, because i would like to sleep 3hours and wouldn't be capable to sleep at night .
it's very hard to no take a little nap in the afternoon for me tho.
-
I personally try to never have a nap, only barely allowing myself to rest my eyes at most. This is 10% because I want to maintain a steady sleep cycle, and 90% because sleep is a waste of time and I wish to partake in such activity at the absolute bare minimum.
-
yep, I do take naps during my time being awake, makes it refreshing, or right after a big meal
-
Hmmm I don’t really ever take naps. Mostly due to having to be active most of the time. Now when I have a free day such as when I don’t have work or school I often extend the time I sleep. But rarely do I ever take a nap as usually if I do thats me going to sleep..which often messes up my routine. So as much as I would love to nap..its oddly a lot of work for me XD Soo That is just something I do really do, while I have friends who take a nap every day after school and such. @.@
-
I dont nap,
Sometimes I fall asleep in class but before I fall I wake up within a few secconds before anyone notices (I hope no one notices at least)
The only times I nap are when I'm sick
-
My medication makes me drowsy, so I do nod off just about every afternoon. This is something specific to my post-college life. Usually, I'll listen to Vangelis (his El Greco album is the most pastoral thing I've ever heard), George Winston, or City of Prague Philharmonic's "History of Horror" to entertain me as I drift around, then, about 45-90 minutes later, I'll be refreshed enough to get back to work.
-
i've tried to take naps but i can't. i just can't sleep during the day for some reason. even if i make my room completely dark i still know its still daytime so i can't sleep.
-
Naaah, naps are for the nini's! -.-

To quote one of my favorite characters:
"I hate people dying. I hate killing, too. I don't like to see people cry or to cry myself. How must it feel not to be able to choose one's life? What about when a family member dies? or when a loved one dies? Nobody wants those things. Yet, the world laughs and hungers for such suffering. I've never had any burning desire to change anything. But it would be sad without change. I don't want to lose anything else... It sucks, but I think it's about time I moved forward. I've averted my eyes until now, but... If I have to, I'll take a hard look at my own past. To achieve a world where nobody ever loses anything... A world where everyone can laugh... and just take afternoon naps all the time."

Yes. I love sleeping, oddly enough.
-
I rediscovered napping last year, during my senior year of high school, and oh boy has it helped me a ton. If I get the chance and I'm tired or low on energy, I'll take an hour's nap to recharge. Even if I don't properly fall asleep and just doze for a while, it still recharges the metaphorical batteries really well and helps me be more functional and altogether healthier.
-
Usually I only nap if I'm feeling ill, my sleep schedule is messed up because I've got crippling insomnia or really, REALLY drained from work, otherwise, I'll usually try to find something to keep my mind occupied. Usually working on something or getting mauled by zombies in 7 Days to Die.
-
Napping is amazing. Best thing I ever did with my life.
There's nothing better than getting to lie down and rest. Except for being tired afterwards. >:(
-
I definitely nap (humorous considering how much I hated em when young) and can do so literally anywhere

That's the spirit, eheheh. What's the strangest place you've napped?

Let's see. Either on a toilet with no door in bootcamp (and I was out a while), in a portapotty, or in full kit leaning back so where my body armor and helmet met at perfect angle

That was not what I was expecting, and yet it was exactly what I wanted.

Sometimes, if I am tired.

*tips fedora* Happy to oblige

Nope. No matter how much I try I just can't take a nap
-
I have enough trouble getting to bed for normal sleep, naps are not possible :'(
-
Generally when I feel like taking a nap it's either when I've been behind the wheel for a while or when I'm at work. Can't say I'm brave enough to take a nap in those situations.
-
I can't stop sleeping pretty much.
-
Sometimes i nap in the early afternoon if i feel like i need it lol
-
I do not nap. I don't have time to nap so I don't. Even if I did, I wouldn't because I'm used to not napping.
-
whenever i get the chance. doesn't matter if i got 5 hours of sleep or 10, i'm just perpetually sleepy and in need of a rest
-
ya I take naps!! like 3-4 times a week!! naps are seriously the best thing ever :)
-
Very, very rarely. There is the odd time where I feel extremely tired and might pass out in the afternoon. But I try to avoid taking naps normally because most of the time when I wake up, I feel even worse and my mouth tastes bad.
-
I'm taking fewer naps than I am meditation sessions. I find the exploration of my personal thoughts and feelings to be a rather refreshing experience, although I do sometimes fall asleep.
The difference is this: Taking a nap involves listening to music in order to fall asleep. Meditation is taking a look at what's going on inside my mind with my eyes closed, being a little more vigilant about the thought traffic going on in there.
-
I wish I could "just" take a nap. but no, when I feel tired and go lay down I'll sleep for three hours then usually wake up feeling way more tired than before, and longing to just go to sleep. So, nah, no naps for this dragon lol.
-
I have very fragmented sleep, so I'm forced to nap frequently. It's part of the blessing and the curse that is my severe bipolar disorder.
-
I've mastered the art of power naps! I don't think that counts as a proper nap, but if I'm really zonked out in the day, I'll find a quiet place, set an alarm for 15 minutes, and just close my eyes! ^_^
It always leaves me feeling refreshed. Of course, I don't actually sleep during that 15 minutes.
-
I tend to nap after tea. You know how it is when you get comfy on your sofa hehe
-
I work a night shift so yes I love to take naps. especially during the holidays, all those daywalkers wanting to start so early in the day @.@
-
What Molecular §hadow Ғox said! When I'm all warm and cozy from a cup of tea, that's almost guaranteed as an instant nap for me. The problem I have is that I am a pretty deep sleeper so once I'm asleep, I'm out... I can't power nap!
