Hey guys! So I have some exciting news! We've added a new rank to the TFF forum and it works very differently to any other rank we've had before!
TFF has always been a great and wonderful place, a community and family that people can relate to and fit right in. But we've noticed that over the years the forum has kinda gone a bit stale, or at least that it seems the forum could have some more life in it. So the staff team decided that we'd start setting up events, competitions and so forth, just forum wide events with prizes or just interesting little games to make the forum a more happening place. But, well real life issues get in the way as well as moderation work, and at some point we also felt like if it was just the staff team coming up with these events, it wouldn't be that inclusive or potentially fun for the whole community. So we've created a new rank, the forum ambassador!
The forum ambassador is a rank we've never really had before, it is not a moderation rank but its also not a member rank. Forum ambassadors will work closely with the staff team and their roles and responsibilities will basically be summed up in making the forum more fun. Forum ambassadors will help organize events, usher in new members, and can make some suggestions on improving the overall forum experience. They are not moderators, but will be given access to their very own board (that the staff team will also have access to) and they will have the full support of staff team when organizing events and so forth.
Because forum ambassadors are different, the way to become a forum ambassador is different too. Ordinarily when the staff promotes a moderator, we usually come to them to ask, but for forum ambassadors we want you to come to us. That is why we have made a forum ambassador application thread (https://www.thefurryforum.com/forums/index.php?topic=38260.0), where you make a post to apply to be a forum ambassador by filling out a simple form. The criteria to become a forum ambassador is different than the criteria to become a moderator, so I suggest everyone who wants to be a forum ambassador to apply or at least check out the thread as it also explains what a forum ambassador is in more detail than this announcement.
Basically, it is our hope that with the inclusion of some hard working forum ambassadors, we might be able to make this forum a lot more involved, tightly knit and stronger. To make it really feel like a family and a community that anyone can get into!

I should just make a note here that anyone can apply and there's no downside to applying, even if you're not sure whether you'd be good for the role I'd still recommend you apply, you may not get the ambassador position but you may never know!
