Hi there! I found the Furry Forums through a shoutout from Nexus, I think.
I guess I've been a "furry" for a while now. Actually, I've attended every Midwest Furfest, and I'm usually more scaley... It's usually a dragon, dragonkin, half dragon, or something like that, but I did a gargoyle thing a few times too. I like wings. I played some online games years ago, usually as a dragonkin, gargoyle, kenku, or anything else that had wings, and at one point, I became leader of a clan called Silent Kiwi. Now, I have an insane amount of kiwi green outfits, including the garb I wear to Bristol Renaissance Faire, complete with a kiwi green tail! No, I have no idea what animal was killed for that tail. I've never seen animals of that color outside the faerie glade...
Anyway, I like science fiction, fantasy, anime, gaming, reading, writing. I don't own a TV anymore, and what I watch is usually Star Trek reruns, news, or the old anime in my collection. I'm a big fan of Studio Ghibli. I've been reading mostly Canadian SF recently, favorite authors (and good friends) are Robert J. Sawyer, Derwin Mak, Julie Czerneda, Gemma Files, Steve Barringer (and not so much friends, but dang, I love their stuff!) Charles deLint, Tanya Huff. I was aspiring to be a writer, but my spark seems to have been misplaced, and replaced by something else not nearly as fulfilling. :(
I play older online games. I worry a bit about signing up for one of the newer ones, because I know they're as addicting as hell, and I don't have the time or the money for them. Besides, I seem to have aquired a social life! I live in the Chicago area, so if anyone wants to do some board gaming with me, and/ or meet up at a con, let me know!
Also, I usually listen to Dementia Radio. There's links to it all over my IMVU profile page. It's the sort of stuff Dr. Demento plays. Weird Al, the great Luke Ski, Tony Goldmark, Flying Like Wilmas, Worm Quartet, Arrogant Worms. Yeah, that sort of thing! And yes, I do know all of them personally too, been on stage with them, etc. (or at least with Weird Al and Arrogant Worms, met more than twice). Yeah, I got the pics to prove it. And I was wearing my ren faire garb and my tail while I did it too!

That's so amazing that you've met them! I wish I could meet somebody famous! I actually met a super bowl winner from the 49ers once (I live 3 hours north of San Francisco in a small town) and no, I have no clue who it was! lol
