Current event: First night in the doromitories - Welcome first years!

It was that time of year again, the first years had just arrived. Nervousness written on most of their faces, it was a big day for everyone and the beginning of a new year at Hogwarts. The four houses quieted down and a thousand candles lit the great hall as the first student put on the sorting hat...

Kai was glad she was so short, barely anybody could spot the tiny figure.

Ivan tried to spot his friends in other houses from the Slytherin table, but couldn't see anyone over the line of first years waiting to be sorted. He hoped this year would fun despite the constant pressure of the N.E.W.T's weighing on him.

As the first years slowly got sorted she greeted the few who passed her, names floated around in her skull like a charms class.

Ivan greeted the new slytherin first years as they came over. He watched their eyes grow wide in amazement as the table suddenly filled with piles of food! Ivan snickered at some of their expressions before grabbing his favorite foods: steak, caramel apples, and chocolate frogs.
The feast has begun!

She looked around at the first years, they were all watching in amazement at the table, as if it would come to life and eat the food. A small smile appeared on her face as she took the little food she could eat, including a slight bit of chopped liver and bits of bread. She nibbled on the little on her plate before sitting quietly as the others talked and laughed.

After he finished eating, Ivan talked and laughed among his slytherin friends until the feast ended. As he got up to leave One-eye suddenly materialized to stop him.
One-eye was the ghost of an old hufflepuff owl who had been a student at Hogwarts nearly 100 years ago. Infamous for being devious and mean, One-eye loves to play pranks and bully students. It it also unknown how he lost his eye, and it is theorized by many students that it was his cause of death.
One-eye immediately tried to push Ivan back using some form of ghostly telekineis, frightning many of the first years. But after he saw his little trick hadn't worked, one-eye disappeared as quickly as he came.
"Don't worry about that students!" Ivan said cheerfully, "You'll get used to him, now first years follow me to the dormitory!"

Kai stood and followed the crowd of Gryfindor's. Somebody tapped her shoulder and she turned her head. Out of the corner of her eye she could see a much taller fox, Jason. Jason spoke, "Didn't think you were rid of me did you?" Kai smiled, "No, I didn't."

Once the first years tour was over, he lead them to their dorms and explained the rules. No traveling around the castle after dark. Ect. Ect. After he finished he gave them free time/move in time for the last couple hours of the day. Now that his job was done, Ivan headed of to go meet his friends. He first stopped in the courtyard.

Kai went to the courtyard in hopes of seeing Jason again.

As Ivan entered the courtyard he nearly stumbled on top of a small, fox like figure who was hurrying in front of him. "Oh no, I'm so sorry!" Ivan apologized.

She turned to face Ivan, surprisingly she had a warm smile. "Oh no it's fine, I guess I should be carrying around a flag yelling 'I'm down here!'" Her smile reached her eyes and she turned to scan the crowd, "Just looking for a friend...."

Ivan returned her smile and followed her gaze across the courtyard. "Sorry again, I really should have been more careful." Ivan glanced at the few students mingling across the courtyard but couldn't pick out who she was looking at. "Maybe I can help you, who are you looking for?"

"Jason, an Arctic fox, thick white coat. Tall, though I probably don't know what tall is, " Near the other side of the courtyard Jason milled around looking for Kai. A warm trustworthy smile curled his lips as he spotted Kai and Ivan.

Ivan laughed with Kai before spotting the Artic Fox. He waved him over.

Jason walked towards them in a slow deliberate pace, eventually getting to them. "Hey Kai, got a new friend?" Kai half nodded, "Well, this is Jason. Thanks, wait... I don't even know your name!" She held out a hand towards Ivan "M'name's Kai,"

Ivan took her hand. "I'm Ivan, nice to meet both of you." He smiled and nodded towards Jason. "So got anything specific in mind for this year at hogwarts? Hopefully staying out of trouble." Ivan laughed and flashed his prefect badge "Don't worry to much, I'm supposed to say that." He winked at Kai.

Jason chuckled but glared at Kai's hand in Ivan's. Only for a second though and he smiled up at Ivan. "I'm not quite the trouble maker,"

Ivan noticed Jason's glare, and inwardly chuckled to himself. He grinned at Jason. "That's good." He turned back to address both of them, "So.. excited for the new year at Hogwarts?"

Kai nodded vigorously while Jason made a humorous head roll, groaning. "Yeah," The both said with different levels of excitement

Ivan laughed at their different replies. "Alright, let's just say my excitement level is somewhere in the middle of yours." Suddenly a small beeping was heard. Ivan glanced down at his muggle-like watch "Oh no! I'm late for advanced potions!" He seemed quite panicked until "wait a minute... it's the first day of school. There's no classes." He realized.

Jason snorted, "I guess you like potions?" Kai elbowed him, "Don't be rude, "

Daymein walks into Jason and Kai. "Sorry....I-I'm looking for the !st years table..."He rearranges his glasses.

Jason smiled at the newcomer, "Well, there isn't one. Just sit with your house."

"O-okay.." Daymein replied as he headed toward the Ravenclaw table. He turned midway "Wait, I didn't get your name.."

"Jason," He said with a warm smile. "Yours?"

He bows."My name is Daymein. It's nice to meet you."

"Yep," He offered a hand, "Better hurry before they leave."

He grabs his hand "Thank you. I actually feel welcomed here." He looks at the girl behind him. He nudges Jason. "Is she your girlfriend~"

Kai couldn't decide between freaking out and screaming or baring her teeth. David groaned, "Not this again. No, not as of now. Also, please stop before that welcome is burned down."
