Markus sighed, pausing from his uniform to look at the vixen. "You sure you want to do this, sweetheart?" he asked her."Would you rather have someone else do this?" The Blue Vixen asked, still preparing the briefing using her hands to 'touch' the screen and move items around on it. "Besides Serena will help me with anything I need help with."
A Worgen then entered the briefing room and sat at one of the front-row seats, his armor clean and polished, his Baldric shining with the numerous accolades and medals pinned to it. The holographic Voro looked up at those present, and spoke, "Now that you're all here perhaps we should start with names and specs. I'll start with you," he indicated Trask.
Trask stood up and spoke, "Admiral Trask Makron, former DMC and commander of the vessel volunteered for this mission, the Steel Avenger." Voro nodded, then shifted his eyes to Blaine, then the armored silver vixen.
Markus shook his head. "Bad enough someone tried to frame me, Krystal - I didn't want to risk you in this matter. But what's done is done." He finalized his uniform. "Just don't do something stupid like die on me, okay, baby?"
Nari sighed hearing odd stories about teleporters but pressed the comm badge and took a deep breath.
"OOMF!" Krystal spat out when the nano dragon hit her cheast. "Yeah, might want to learn how to fly before you jump next time." Krystal replied.
Serena popped up on the table "Actually to be more specific your with me." the hologram vixen noted.
Serena crossed her arms in disappointment at the dragon's tone. "Like you I'm an AI being except unlike you i'm not made of Nano bots my form is only shown in a hologram, perhaps I can teach you what I know and make you that much more useful and perhaps you can have a little fun, just don't wreck anything alright?" the hologram Vixen asked.Nari sighed hearing odd stories about teleporters but pressed the comm badge and took a deep breath.

Felicity looked down at the table before looking at Krystal, "Sorry...", she then jumped down to the table, poking at the hologram, "What are you?", she said in a puzzled tone, unintentionally being cold about it.
(Waiting on you, Raz.)(and he's waiting on me to reply.)
Felicity was hesitant for a moment before touching the hologram's hand, it causing a large flash of light before the nanobots that made up her form collapsed and sank into the wires so they would be ready to reform Felicity when she would need it. Felicity looked at Serena, her eyes twisting like cogs as she inspected the AI learning what she was, "Are you going to teach me to be a suit AI?", she asked, determining what Serena is.Is that what you want?" Serena asked appearing next to Felcity in the digital realm.
((Sorry, been busy at work all day... I get short breaks, but I normally have my phone off.))
Felicity materialized sitting furniture in the realm, "That's what I think my intended purpose was... I can enter any electronic device... but beyond that, I can't manually control any devices... So yes, I would like that...", she then thought of something, "Originally, I was designed for something called 'hacking'... I think that's how I already know you... but you don't know me all that much. I don't remember much of my creator, but I did call 'her' mom... I don't remember her exactly... but she injected me with languages, real and technological... and some sort of 'portal.exe' thing... I don't understand what that is... and my tail is so weird too..."Well is that all you want I was gonna teach you how to hack computers too, and do you want your tail to be like a normal dragon I might be able to fix that?" Serena continued, sitting next to Felicity.

Felicity nodded, "I would like that, yes.", she then looked at her own tail, "Why? What's wrong with my tail?"
Felicity gave a sigh, "I like it.... I just didn't like that the people on this ship kept trying to force me to use it... until I accidentally electrocuted one...", she shook her head, "Anyway... what is it you're gonna do to train me?""Well I could just upload the knowledge to you, because everything else is from experience something you have to get on your own.
*** Mercenary Warship Steel Avenger, approaching Postok Observatory ***"I'm no Jedi, but it seems awfully quiet out here, as if there was an attack that annihilated everything living or robotic, or an ambush in waiting." Nari replied, grabbing her bowcaster from the metal back holster on her armor.
It was another hour or so before the Steel Avenger arrived at its destination. "Everyone, ready yourselves - we're approaching the observatory," Trask told the others. The warship decelerated, and the observatory was in sight. "Comms, open a channel," Trask commanded.
"Channel open, Admiral," the Night Elf at the comms console reported.
"This is the Mercenary Warship Steel Avenger to ISC Postok Observatory, if you can hear me on this channel, please acknowledge this transmission," Trask spoke. There was no response for a good minute. "Admiral Trask to anyone aboard the Observatory, please respond." Still no answer. He looked to the others. "Anyone got any opinions?"
Felicity backed up, doing a backwards somersault before looking at the dragon, after thanking Serena, "Ah! Who are you?""I'm Argo another AI."TH dragon said, explaining himself simply.
Felicity vigorously shook her head, "N-no! I'm not permitted to say it... The only thing I CAN say is... it's a puzzle...", she was silent for a good few minutes, "There is a... program in me that forces me to not say... and if I do.. I get hurt...", she then attempted to say it and it caused a complete power surge in the entire ship for a few moments."So let me get this straight. We're not allowed to study you to find out on our own how you work?" Serena asked.
Afterwards, she collapsed on the floor of the world, breathing heavily, "Th-that's what happens... I-it's much worse then when I'm in a physical form... I-I would tell you... but it hurts me too much to... you'll just have to figure it out on your own...", she laid on the floor for another while before speaking again, "I can give you hints, however... I will say this: What is seen in an AirPort scanner? I know it's vague... but I can't give anything else... Sorry...", she was bummed out by this too, as her programmed nature was to help those she trusted.
((In GS, Felicity has been wiped of the Hint Programming due to the port she was in causing a system frying, causing her to rebuild herself, thus that is when she meets Amps.))

"Do you need help with anything?" Argo asked. "We might be able to help you clear some buggy programming if you permit it."
Jeremy powered his exo-suit up and joined the others on a transporter pad. "Damn, I'd hate to be on your bad side," He said to Nari, looking at her armor."That's not even the half of my equipment I normally carry." Nari noted, checking to make sure the manipulator claw on the Armor worked, and making sure the suit's systems were functioning correctly. "Though this suit is a new set of equipment for me, but it goes over my armor and it doubles as a environmental and EVA suit so it was worth Grabbing one."
"So, maybe we're dealing with a Sith attack? They could've killed the contact with the Force, wouldn't leave marks." Jeremy whispered, checking his own weapon. He moved some more rubble, finding the contacts' ID. "Doubt he'd pull that out himself if he was under attack.." He said to the other two.
The two AIs turned to Felicity, really just there to observe than to help, thinking Felicity was able to accomplish the task by herself, though they did check over the files the little dragon had sent them."So, maybe we're dealing with a Sith attack? They could've killed the contact with the Force, wouldn't leave marks." Jeremy whispered, checking his own weapon. He moved some more rubble, finding the contacts' ID. "Doubt he'd pull that out himself if he was under attack.." He said to the other two.
"Possibly," Trask agreed. "And given how this man's face looks, I'd say our perp used the Force to strangulate him." He hit his comm-badge. "Makron to Felicity; any luck accessing security files? We're looking for a perp with a Lightsaber."
Felicity found the files and replied, "Found them, Maki-roll! Is this the ugly fleshie?", she sent the files to Makron, "I also found a list of items in here... data is mostly corrupted.. but I can see... 2 deactivated grenades... 1 set of unidentified components... 1 pack of flavor-less vanilla gum... I have reason to think there was some sort of security bot connected up to this to scan incoming personnel... Check the utility and maintenance rooms for a gyro-ball mounted security bot... there maybe a better footage file there... Felicity out.""You did good." Serena replied "We think your ready to do this on you own, unless you like the company." Argo replied, appearing to read a book.
In the digital realm, Felicity turned to her accompanying AIs, "How was that?... also, I disabled security measures on a few connected computers in the building if any of you wanna check it out."
"amFF I All heaar?" was the only thing Nari said, voice muffled by the suit, her comm radio off, suit wirelessly connected to the ships computer, allowing Felcity, Argo and Serena to travel back into the system if they wanted.
"Sir, we're being hailed by two separate sources - one is planetside, requesting to come aboard - they claim to have been briefed by command; the other is... difficult to ascertain a clear message, but there are a series of coordinates," comms piped up."Trask there are no stations in Mar Sara orbit." Krystal noted, having muffled out the high pictched sounds with her radio equipment.
"Very well," Trask said. "Helm, dock with whatever station we can dock at; comms, get a line to both - have the one down planetside sort himself for transport, have the other one head for Hangar Two."
"We should probably stay in orbit, Trask - that airbase is a Dominion outpost; they're not exactly hostile to us, but I'd rather not give them another xenophobic breakdown..." Krystal warned Trask as she continued her duties on the ship.
The doctor blinked and looked up, feeling the familiar sensation of being translocated onto a ship. The mustelid maintained his previous stature and he reformed on the ship. The display on his facemask rolled its eyes and an exasperated sigh sounded from him. "I wasn't exactly expecting a red carpet reception, but at least send a live person to welcome me aboard."
The doctor mumbled to himself as he followed the holograms through the ship. Once they had arrived at the bridge the doctor stepped past the holograms and spoke out to no one in particular. "'Arming' the holograms is cute, but I'm curious as to what it's meant to accomplish." Looking around the bridge he easily picks out the admiral and walks over.
"So, you're the one in charge of this hot mess. I understand I'm late to the party. Need more firepower, fewer casualties, or both?" The expression on his display shifted from disinterested to bemused at his last query.
"Casualties," Ray beamed wickedly, "are simply an excuse to upgrade." His tool-staff whirred and whined, accompanying the engineer's statement. He looked to RSS curiously, ocular sensors shifting and adjusting. "A mender of flesh meets a mender of metal. I dare say that we may yet be equals."
The doctor stood and listened to the discussion over recent developments. As the engineer made a pointed comment about his 'machine gods' the mustelid's facemask shifted almost imperceptibly before resting into a neutral expression.
"It would seem we have far more variables than constants in this equation. What's worse is we don't even know where these variables belong. How discomforting." His facemask shifted into a look of concern. "We need to consider everything we know about this Torrentus and Admiral Arai as well. One must examine both sides of a coin to understand it as a whole."
Ray spoke, as he stood slowly and dusted himself. "A Force-user attacked our contact before we could get our information. Our user also had laid a trap in hopes of removing us. This is all I know." He sighed. "Had I more time, I may have extracted information from our slain contact." He glanced at the mustelid before continuing. "The machine gods would have blessed the contact and I with a link, but I had no time."
Seconds after the reply from the Steel Avenger, the wolf emerged from the darkness of the small room and headed outside. The canine was in a fairly flat, secluded area, and figured landing would be easy. Setting down his duffel bag, the wolf withdrew a small smoke grenade from his side and pulled the pin. Tossing it before him, Victor watched as the grey smoke billowed up into the sky above him.
Assuming it would take a few minutes before he was found, the wolf gently lowered himself to the ground and rested on his back. Placing both his paws behind his head and crossing his legs, the canine nonchalantly waited for the drop ship. Reflecting the sight of the sky and smoke from his lenses, Victor simply relaxed and waited.
Rylou waited as the drop ship flew past out of the docking bay before entering. Seeing no welcoming party there he took the elevator to the bridge. "There's bound to be someone there."
"You could say that, yeah. It was me who approached them for a job but yes, they provided it." He nodded to the hologram, knowing that it could very well be watching from any number of cameras. The doctor stood and listened to the discussion over recent developments. His facemask shifted into a look of concern. "We need to consider everything we know about this Torrentus and Admiral Arai as well. One must examine both sides of a coin to understand it as a whole."
"All we know of Darth Torrentus is that she is Admiral Arai's Force-Sensitive duplicate - created when some sort of spatial anomaly hit whatever ship Arai was on and duplicated her. We can't say how exactly this happened nor what specific kind of anomaly it was, but so far, Torrentus has been more or less dormant - she has so far not attacked anyone's interests, and in fact, seemed to have dropped off the galactic grid," Trask explained. "Admiral Arai, however, we have had several clashes with - so we know a considerable deal about her. She was once Tal Shiar, and was responsible for the destruction of Unity Starbase, a joint project between the Klingon Empire and the United Federation of Planets. However, her plans were unraveled when a Starfleet Officer - man by the name of Darion Heath, now a retired Admiral living on Sol III - beat her at her own game. Arai was arrested, tried for multiple attacks on Federation interests and theft of top-secret Federation technology, convicted, and sentenced to life in prison... only her prison transport never arrived. It was found adrift in space two weeks later, with Arai nowhere to be found. It was speculated that elements of the Tal Shiar that remained loyal to her - after most branded her a traitor for her failure - disabled the transport, killed the crew, and rescued Arai. But she was never found, and her file ceased to be a concern after the Hobus Disaster. She only resurfaced in the weeks following the death of the leader of the Tal Shiar, Colonel Hakeev - she took up the reins of the Tal Shiar, and has been a thorn in our side ever since; we know she was behind the eradication of the Borg, which she tried to use as a method of slandering the Dragon'taan Marauder Corps by sending in Borg ships to stage an 'attack' and then sending in Tal Shiar ships to play hero."
Trask took a deep breath as he finished this explanation. "I'd be surprised if Arai isn't involved in this in some way," he stated. "She's always looking to break up the alliances of the galaxy, and the attack on the ISC Industrial sector sounds like something she'd do - but the Cameras on board that observatory caught Torrentus in the act of murdering our contact, and I can only speculate that she set the trap that sent that probe into the star; it was meant to wipe out anyone who came to investigate... which brings us back to the question, what is Torrentus up to, and to what end?"Ray spoke, as he stood slowly and dusted himself.
Trask looked to Ray and raised an eyebrow. "Next time we come across a corpse and need information from it, remind me you can do that," he said. "That kind of thing would be handy."Seconds after the reply from the Steel Avenger, the wolf emerged from the darkness of the small room and headed outside. Victor wouldn't have to wait long; a drop ship could be seen heading his direction.

Seeing no welcoming party there he took the elevator to the bridge. "There's bound to be someone there."
While there was no "Welcoming Party", Rylou would see the ship full of mobile, sentient holograms of various races - none of whom seemed to pay him any mind. The turbolift would stop at one point, and the doors would part to allow a holographic Romulan to enter. He nodded to Rylou respectfully, and spoke, "Bridge." The turbolift resumed it's ascent, and the Romulan, not turning to face Rylou, asked, "The Marauder Corps bring you in on this op, too?"
"Perhaps i need to get a little more involved, then." Krystal noted.
"So do we know if the motives of Arai's force sensitive clone are the same as hers?" Nari asked
"Or that she even has the same thought patterns? Or in Layman's terms, same way of thinking, pretty much," Krystal added.
Serena's hologram popped up in the room. "I've analyzed blood samples and verified the light saber crystal type based on the color wavelengths." Serena noted, stopping there leaving the crew in suspense.
The doctor paced slowly back to the rest of the group. The display on his facemask showing a look of deep contemplation as he compiled everything he had heard about this person. What a story it was. This was something he would have to explore in greater depth once he had found this Admiral Arai and hopefully her duplicate. One or the other would probably suffice though.
There was a flicker across his facemask then after a few moments it shifted to an expression of careful consideration. "This is something very interesting. I agree that she is more likely than not involved. In that case we must also consider that she may be working with her duplicate." At this point, though. All that they could do is try to keep moving and push forward.
"This is hunter vessel 01-90 asking for permission to board" a signal came through as my ship drove across the sand stretch of land towards The Steel Avenger "I have received word of able bodies needed for a special op, name is Lacar Lacrest" some wiring fell from a panel in my ship "a shit! I may also need some materials for repairs."
"You could say that, yeah. It was me who approached them for a job but yes, they provided it." He nodded to the hologram, knowing that it could very well be watching from any number of cameras.
Ray's head tilted slightly, his curiosity piqued. "What is this 'force' you speak of? Is it a product of these spacial anomalies?" After a moment, Ray's wicked smile returned, a zealous light flaring behind his only biological eye. "It matters not. The anomaly will be purged, as the machine gods' specify." The mechanical raccoon seemed to suddenly lose himself in thought, staring more towards the ceiling and babbling to himself. "A fiery engine, yes. One of a devious construct. I can see it now. The Unmaker. End of all things, consumer of worlds. Oh...oh yes. This anomalous individual will face the unbridled fury of the cleansing flame...A purge...nothing will remain..."'is this guy for real' Nari, Krystal an Serena thought, staring at Ray for a moment.

"And no, the force has something to do with blood, something in it."

Rylou strode onto the bridge and immediately walked up to the man who looked to be in charge. I'm Rylou Nighten, combat and demolitions expert." He outstretched his hand to shake.
My vehicle continued to drive across the desert towards the large fleet ship "so do o....." The comm went static for a moment before returning" sorry forgive my equipment its not the newest set of tech, anyways may I have permission to board?"
The doctor nodded softly, his display showing he was once again lost in thought. 'What do I really know about the politics between these two groups? Never really had cause to get involved, really.. Jobs can be caused by politics but they rarely directly involved them.' The mustelid was about to say something when he heard the rambling about the machine gods start up again.
There was a sudden shift between confusion, concern, alarm, and consideration on his display, but ultimately concern won out. 'This one.. This one is going to make things difficult-might get us killed, or just kill us himself, possibly.' The expression on his display shifted again as the one named Rylou made a brisk introduction. There was a noncommittal look and gesture as he hurried around.
Watching the god fearing engineer run off he turned to the Admiral with a purposeful expression displayed. "If he tries to touch me or any of my equipment, I'm not responsible for what happens to him. However, getting back on topic, we must consider the political fallout of such a catastrophe. What will others think of us? What effects has it already had internally? All these things and more contribute towards their plan."
I reach the hangar bay or the Steel Avenger, I switch on my thrusters and slowly fly up and into it easing in slowly. As she lands she groans and squeal as the four legs of the ship touch the hangar floor. Once she is settled I turn off the engines and walk down exiting through my rear bay letting the platform unfold from my ship "J9 here!" A robotic bird looking machine flew out of the ship ad perched itself on my robotic arm/shoulder. "M3G watch the ship, no one touches till I say so" a large construction not with a backhoe as her left arm steps out"you got it sir" I smile as I close the doors and look around for a guid to the bridge.
" Can I ask you something personal, Trask?" Krystal asked.
"Sir were being hailed." Serena noted.
The doctor looked up and around, hearing sounds going off his display expressed a look of concern. Moving swiftly over to one of the screens the crewmen were operating he saw what had just warped in and the gasp he let out seemed to have an echo.
"Why in the hell has this ship warped in on us and what do they want? My pay is only good if I'm alive to spend it." The doctor tried to remember where the escape pods were usually located on Coalition vessels. This mission seemed to be spiraling out of control fast.
"I coluldn't take chances," Torrentus said. "I already have more enemies than I need, and one of them was supposed to be in this system, and until I know he's not, the weapons stay primed." A Tal Shiar Romulan appeared and whispered something in Torrentus' ear. "Hnh... seems your engineer friend has infiltrated my ship's systems. He's very resourceful.""Hmm could you transmit the specs on this enemy of your so we could assist you in fighting them if they happen to pop up?" Krystal asked
"That he is," Trask complimented. He accessed the comms. "Admiral Makron to Ray - sit-rep, please."
Ray sighed as he backed away from the console. "Trask, there's nothing here. I suppose Torrentus speaks the truth." He stared at Torrentus for a few moments, before he started towards the airlock he entered through.
The AI shook his head. "I'll apologize for the robotic moron. His kind are...a tad zealous." He sighed again. "I...suppose I'm to blame."
Rylou looked at his communicator as it picked up a message,
"Trask, it seems we have an incoming call from some approaching targets, they say their friendly. I can meet them in the docking bay if you want?"
Ray glanced down at the small vixen as he walked away, his brow furrowed. "I am pleased to hear you have realized the unnecessary and futile nature of flesh. This one holds you high, too be sure. Though," the raccoon looked over his shoulder at Tic for just a moment, before casting his gaze to the ground. His voice dropped to a harsh whisper. "She is the Convergent, the one to link both worlds. Her word is law, she will lead all machines to glory.""Metal and stone wears away." Serena noted before sissapearing.
Tic stayed focused on her tasks reading all the data she could, only slowing down to decrypt any files that were protected or classified if they came up. As she flipped through them she noticed that she still had the chips data of how her preformance went...but there was something else mixed in. It was a audio file simply labeled "Read Me Now!" and while tic knew she had work to be doing she couldn't help but give in to her curiosity and start playing it.
...
"Testing, testing 1, 2, 3 testing." It was clearly doctor Lysander who must have been fiddling with the audio... however his voice sounded weak and occasionally let out a fit of coughing which was not how Tic remembered him sounding.
"This should be good...ahem! Greetings Captain Trask, I know you and me have never met but it would seems you have taken someone precious to me... someone who I don't think...no who I know would bring me great pain if anything happened to her! You have in your possession someone who is not just some standard utility Droid, but in fact a living being. You see I have found a way to not only make a sentient machine...but to give said machine a soul." The doctor breaks out in fit of coughing and it takes a moment for him to regain control.
"In case your wondering, no I did not steal anyone's soul...I used a decent chunk of my own using a combination of biotics and technology. I have... already destroyed the machine so don't bother looking...but my point is if Tic core breaks she is not repairable, she will die just like the rest of us. I know I am not long for this world...but please...keep my creat...keep my daughter safe. She is not some robot to be tossed aside...she has a chance at life just like the rest of us."
End transmission.
...
Tic didn't know how to process this information...she sat there in silence wondering what to do with this knowledge. After a bit she hides the file deep in her memory core as well as erase all traces of it's existence on the data chip...for now no one should know.
The raccoon-AI, after seeing how upset the AI-vixen had gotten, had an idea.
The tin-raccoon's antics seem to have everyone on edge. I'll give him a paw.
He disappeared from the mainframe, and reappeared in Ray's head.
Ray, meanwhile, was following Lacar, keen on fixing the ship.
The AI spoke to Ray, who froze in his tracks.
My son, your actions have angered the Convergent. You must atone. Your transgressions against the goddess-vixen, she who transposed fully to machine, will be revered. My word is law.
A blue arc of electricity shot from Ray's head to the floor. He shuddered a moment, before dropping to one knee, his vision swimming. After a few moments, he stood and caught up with Lacar.
"If you are to be particular about your vessel, then instruct me."
The raccoon-AI re-entered the mainframe, and walked slowly towards the AI-vixen. "So, you've sought your reverence, and I have delivered..." He stopped a moment, and asked quietly. "Have I introduced myself?"
Rylou entered the bridge again, this time fiddling with a small device for a few moments before placing it on his belt. He strode up to Trask;
"So is this visit to the company going to be diplomatic or hostile?"
"I would hope for a diplomatic option, but seeing as I am no longer an official member of the Dragon'taan Marauder Corps - I was discharged a few months ago - we likely will get either 'f*** off' because we're mercenaries, or 'come work for us, we have more credits,' also because we're mercenaries. Either way, I'm not gonna deal with it." He looked to the Doctor. "You want a firefight? You may well get one; we need to provide a distraction so that Tic can get into their database without being detected. Keep their attention on us so they don't realize she's hacking them.""Oh don't worry, I can run a distraction op."
The doctor held Trask's gaze as he spoke and the expression on his display took on a considering glance as he thought over the comment. "Well, a firefight is certainly not going to be the most preferable outcome, I'm certain. It's not going to break my heart, though." A mischievous look flickered across his display before settling back into a thoughtful expression.
"Barring any further instructions, I think I'll get acquainted with your medbay. I'm sure your team will be thrilled to see someone of my talents amongst them." As the doctor turned to leave, his display shifted to a smile that could easily be mistaken as genuine.
Ray's eye went wide and his optical sensors shrank into pinpoints as he gazed at the android. His voice, ever monotonous, shook in the engineer's confusion.
"W-What is this? Y-You aren't some s-service droid...a-another C-Convergent?" A spark flew from the cooling vent in the mechanical side of Ray's head. "W-What i-is t-this?" He reached out slowly, dropping the wrench he held, and seemed to grope about as if he were blind. Then, without warning or even a sound, Ray crumpled to the floor, completely unconscious.
Jayce's brow furrowed, and he seemed to search for a moment. "Wha' happened?" He turned to the others and spoke. "I just lost connection with robo-dunce. Someone get to the hangar and find him."
As more people surrounded Reyela she started to get more and more scared, looking from person to person. Those who were psychically attuned or capable in the ways of the force could feel a palpable energy growing from the the girl, an energy that in it's very essence felt primal and angry.a new ,yet familiar voice would soon enter Reyela's head.
Krystal in fact because of her telepathic abilities could hear the voices currently going through Reyela's head...the voice certainly not belonging to here.
"You should have listened to me, they are going to hurt us, take us away and never let us out. You must let me take control, I promise I will not leave a single one alive..."
Reyela was certainly struggling to keep her out and Tic started to back away, not sure how to handle all this hostility.
"I asked Tic to do it." Krystal sighed.
"It is fine, I could the help should she gets nervous again...and admittedly I have not explored the sleeping quarters of the ship so his help would be appreciated." Tic says and starts overriding the lockdown procedure, as she was already connected with the ship from the terminal she accessed.Reyela breathed softly unstirred by Rylou holding her.
Tic blinks for a moment."security mesures nobody whatches them but me anyway." Serena replied. "I can only see the room not the bathroom and the occupants have the option to shut them off."
"...seems oddly creepy you have security cameras in people's rooms." Tic comments before bringing her eye back.
"That's what we're hoping for," Trask said. "Well approach the station under cloak, then beam Tic and some of the others to the station in an isolated location - shouldn't be a soul in sight. They'll infiltrate the station, and those of us still here will take control of Marauder Drone-spawned starships; try and make this look like a raid, keep their attention on us while Tic and her team get what we need. Tic, you'll be looking for any files on the cyborg sith seen in the security recording at the observatory; start with any Romulan patients for Cyborg enhancements." Trask looked to the others. "No more than two additional members to Tic's team, to maximize operational chances of success. Volunteers, step up; the rest will stay here aboard the Steel Avenger to aid with the diversion." he again looked back at Tic. "Tic, after you have appropriated the intel we need, exfiltrate by any means necessary; that station should have a hangar, so you could try there. Use any means necessary." He looked over his team. "Any questions?""Trask, is there anything specific i should be whatching the scanners for?" Krystal and Serena asked simulantously
The doctor looked at the heavily augmented raccoon and sighed deeply seeing him volunteer with another burst of religious mumbo jumbo. 'Great, this fool is going to get his crazy on again. Perhaps something blunt will hit him upside the head and knock the crazy loose.' The doctor's facial display flickered to a sly smile before shifting to an impassive expression.
"I don't guarantee I'll be too good with this drone piloting deal, but whatever. I suppose I don't need to be impressive, just distracting..."
"Trask I'm reading some odd activity in the station." Serena spoke up.
"Admiral Makron to Away Team - status!" Trask demanded. He turned to Serena. "Serena, get me a tactical scan of that unidentified vessel.""It's already on your monitor, Sir." Serena noted.
Ray sighed, his ear twitching as he processed the information.
“An interruptive shield blocks our way out...Admiral, can you pinpoint the field’s origin?” The robot raccoon flexed his claws, as a rather mischievous look crept across his face. “I shall have it down forthwith.”
"Do you think that's a wise idea?" Krystal asked "That ship looks like an allied vessel, I don't recognize the class, though." The blue vixen added.Ray sighed, his ear twitching as he processed the information.
“An interruptive shield blocks our way out...Admiral, can you pinpoint the field’s origin?” The robot raccoon flexed his claws, as a rather mischievous look crept across his face. “I shall have it down forthwith.”
(I'll let someone aboard the station respond to Wilco's intro, as none of my current chars are there)
"Stand by," Trask responded, going over the station's layout. Finally, he responded, "Got it - two levels above you, one of the generators. Take it out, and it'll disrupt the shield long enough for me to get you all out. And hurry - the unidentified warship is moving on the Station; Tondam is on the run!" And he wasn't wrong; Tondam could not hold back the unidentified warship, as it was ripping right through them; their weapons seemed almost useless against it. Those still able decided to make a tactical retreat, and the ship began moving for the station. Trask looked to Krystal and Serena. "Serena, see if we can get your unidentified person on the station aboard when we beam them out, along with the away team and the engineer... I have a feeling that ship's commander won't know the difference between friend and foe in there; Krystal, can you delay the ship's commander in any way? Cloud his mind or something?"
"Whatever you all are gonna do, do it quick; that warship is turning its attention to the station!" Trask told the Away team. He looked to Krystal. "Krystal, there's gotta be something we can do to slow that behemoth down."
The interloper was taking fire from the drone warships, but strangely, it was not firing back. It was almost as though the interloper seemed not to mind - or was trying to ascertain the reason for this sudden attack."Whoever is in charge of the ship is on our ruse, he knows their holograms,Serena get a lock on our team and the two extra's get them out of there ASAP!"
"Krystal, can you hear his thoughts?" Trask asked.
The station's shields went offline, and Trask was quick to issue the command: "The facility's shields are down! Beam them out of there, Serena!"The vixen Ai, Serena did as she was instructed beaming the away team , plus the two others aboard the ship, any that were injured were beamed directly to a medbay where hologram Doctors and nurses would take care of them.
"Well, you're more than welcome to get it out. Playing it on my RIG only shows it to me on my Heads-Up Display unless I'm transmitting to another RIG. There should be a port on it to retrieve it." he spoke as he pointed to his own back. "When you get it out and play it, listen to the sounds. Listen very carefully. You'll notice some sounds that are off about it.""What exactly is off about the sound?" Krystal asked plugging some odd stick into,Vosur's RIG.
*** Bridge ***"Not yet , still working."
"Still notably disturbing that such tech exists, though given what it is, I imagine they're insanely expensive," Trask muttered. "Any luck, Krystal?"
*** Medical Bay ***
"We're going to get you ship-shape again," the CMO assured him. "We won't hurt you; we're going to help you. Rest, son - you'll wake up feeling a lot better, I promise."
Rylou slowly entered the bridge, staying near the wall. He slowly takes his helmet off before approaching Trask and Vosur.
"Those robes look flammable though, when can we meet?"
*** Bridge ***"I've downloaded the file you can go now." Krystal said observing the recording again "Something is definitly off about those force powers..." Krystal noted "Since when was Force lightning red?"
"In that case, when Krystal's done with you, why don't you take a look at the engines? Some... tech-priest-person messed with them, and I imagine that's why they sound funny to you," Trask suggested.
*** Medical Bay ***
The CMO had since finished with the injured wolf, and moved on to his usual day-to-day ship tasks. He would patiently wait as he worked for the wolf to regain consciousness.
*** Bridge ***"The force lighting our supposed sith uses is red and there are visual waves when he uses 'the force' to push the others. It's as if he's mimicing 'the force' with machinery or something like that." Krystal explained
"Do what, now?" Trask asked in disbelief over Krystal's comment.
*** Medical Bay ***
"Looking for the chip you had?" The CMO asked the wolf, picking the chip up off his desk and holding it in the air for the wolf to take. "Kept it safe. No one's had the chance to access it, though - we've been focused on putting as much distance as we can between us and Tondam... and that interloper who crashed the party. No idea who he was, but he was packing some serious firepower."
*** Bridge ***
"Very well - I will summon you when we are approaching the facility," Trask told Vosur. "If you're friends with these guys, I see no reason to go in cloaked, and I'll let you do the talking. Just bear in mind, most of us are mercenary personnel contracting with the United Alliance Coalition. Except Krystal - she's NCC and the UAC Lord-Admiral's wife. Point is, we're representing a major power in the galaxy." Trask looked past Vosur and spotted the wolf. "I assume you're the injured patient my Chief Medical Officer was operating on; how can I help you?"
"That'd be me," Trask said as he approached the wolf. The Worgen stopped just shy of him. "You took a hell of a beating on that station, son. What were you doing there that screwed you up so bad?"
*** Bridge ***"I can try." Krystal replied taking the chip.
As Vosur left, Trask examined the chip in the palm of his hand, then handed it to Krystal. "Can you and Serena get any info off it?" he asked.
Rylou noticed the raccoon's silence, and walked 9ver to him, placing s hand on his shoulder.the Hologram of Serena appeared near Rylou. "He's just in a recharge cycle.."
"Ray, wake up bud. We're back on board."
Once the gravity shut-off in the engine-room, his feet did not instantly leave the floor. Instead he had to give a slight 'hop' off and some thrusters kicked on in his suit as he flew about in the sections and immediately went to work repairing the seals. "I know I can get it back to proper working order. But at least this'll make me feel useful again. Being stuck in a cell when you are called to do a job kinda wears at one's mood." Vosur spoke as he was already making progress on the first-mentioned section's patch-job. "If I didn't know any better, I almost would've thought someone threw a fragmentation-grenade in here." he added as a joke as he kept going.
"Basically, though I'll lend you the chip along with my clearance code if you want to read it." He says, trying to keep a serious attitude. "You think it might help?" He asks, curious. Besides, it never hurt anyone to pry at another persons life or a company's way of working."I've had my fair share of those sorts of reports." Krystal said as she followed along, Turning to trask "What's up for dinner?
He finished up in the last section and used the thrusters in his suit to go back to level three, switching out the tools he'd need for the coolant-leak fix this time. "When I'm done with this seal, we'll need to run a coolant-purge and a full-test again just to make sure there's no more leaks or other faults. As for the software issue, I'm not the best there." he spoke as he started work on the coolant seal."I don't think we have enough Coolant for a full flush" Serena noted.
"Nope. I love my meat." He says, turning to Krystal. "I take it you want to read it? or no?"" I already read over it, Thanks" Krystal responded, turning to Trask "give me a moment to clear my thoughts a lot has happened.
He furrows his eyebrows in response to this, though his helmet would not have shown this anyways unless she had direct-access to the view of his face through his own helmet somehow. He then lets out a sigh before he starts floating around the entire engine room, using his thrusters while he was checking for air-purge valves in the coolant-lines. "Hm. Must be in the filter points, if that's the case, I may not need to actively perform a purge." he thought out-loud before he looked to both AI's once he reorients himself back at ground floor. "Start up the gravity when you're ready. I've got a mess to clean before I to the galley.""You sure your ready?" Serena asied raising her hand to signal a crewmen to re-engage the gravity.
*** Galley ***
"Well, if you think of anything else, don't be shy," Trask told Wilco as he sat at the counter. "What's your fancy for food today?"
Markus' face flickered on the screen. "Krystal? Is everything okay?" he asked.
*** Engine Room ***
The ACE went through the checks as Vosur cleaned up the mess. "I don't know how you did it, but the engines are aye-okay, now," he said. "I'll be sure to report this to the Admiral."
"Just something simple, something like bacon, eggs and sausages would do." His stomach lets out a growl at that. "I havent eaten since... a month ago? or longer..."How the heck have you gone so long without eating?" Krystal asked as she caught back up to Trask and Wilco.
The droid finished Wilco's food and set it down before him. "Would you like a drink with that?" it asked. Here is my answer)
Vosur finishes up his food rather quickly before he resumed speaking again. "And to be honest, I feel like I was set-up to take the fall for our mysterious sith-wannabe. The call to Tondam seems too convenient to my tastes. So I don't mind being a lead-in guy for going into this one. I might be able to get you closest to the actual mainframe without attempting a blind-sneak. It's your call, Trask. "
" with pseudo force powers." Krystal added.Vosur finishes up his food rather quickly before he resumed speaking again. "
"Honestly, I was hoping you'd want to," Trask said as his food was set down before him. "But I must stress, they cannot know you're there. Any suggestions for distracting them from you would be a valuable asset to this op. And remember, we're looking for files and intel that pertain to who this imposter is, and if we can, what his or her motives are. All we know at present is that this person is a cybernetic-enhanced Romulan, so start there."
"Well, I have some parts to a plan. First up: getting close to where the database would be would actually require a distraction. They seem to turn their entire focus to high-paying customers, such as mining ships or officials possibly considering contracts. Considering the patches I had to do in the engine room, I think getting the lines we need to replace the patched sections might keep them distracted for a decent amount of time. And if we want to buy more time, a maintenance-shuttle with the proper supplies and tools would further that as that requires a little bit of paperwork for registration purposes. Now, this would require some timing... where they do repairs for the Modules on my suit is actually near their administrative section, so once I'm there, I won't have to travel far." Vosur spoke as he flicks the HUD portion on his chest to look at the Unitology Tech Headquarters, letting out a sigh as he tapped the location on the hologram. "My problem is that cyber-security is not my forte'. I can troubleshoot and repair, but I can't hack worth a darn other than a simple electronic lock. So once I'm in, I will need help.""Serena can disable their security, but if they pay attention to high paying customers I might be able to distract them long enough." Krystal replied. "i'm pretty well known, let's just hope they don't suspect something.
Vosur gets up and inhales deeply. "Show time." he thought out-loud before walking to the bridge. Glancing back to Wilco, he calls back to him "The only thought I can think for you to do is to help out with keeping the sellers focused on the both of you. Keep in mind that you're buyers.""This isn't my first sale." Krystal noted putting a chip into Vosur's armor "Serena should be able to hack thier systems from your suit. Just don't let her take over your suit."
"Front door is perfectly fine. Let them know to ask about high-priced items that would be useful to mining and salvaging vessels. Stall for time." he spoke before he waited a bit longer, hearing some movement outside of the waiting room before getting up and peeking out. Apparently there was a bit of commotion of "It's her!" from numerous voices as he saw workers try to go to the foyer to greet some guests before he quietly tries to make his way out and starts heading to the server room as quietly as possible (despite his mechanical prosthetic legs being the size of boots on him)."I'm... uhh looking for some high-tech minining equipment for salvaging vessels and mining asteroids." Krystal explained
"Hello, Honored Guests. What can Unitology Technologies do for you?" the red-panda spoke, almost having an army of sales-people following not far behind the main greeter.
"Never-mind on that. Sounds like they're already in position. We should be at the admin-room door if the map was to be believed." Vosur spoke as he approached a vault-like door, glancing back before getting closer to it. He looks down at the keypad and a wireless-reader right next to it, not yet touching either one as he visually examined both portions. "Radio-Frequency Identification... Think you can mimic that and find the code to open it? Any Information Technician ID will do for this. If I hack it, it'll be hard-wired rather than unnoticeable.""let me find the right frequency." Serena replied.
"Certainly. We have retrieval drones with high-capacities, automated-mining drones that you can program to locate and dig, and personnel-based equipment for both if you prefer a more hands-on approach. Anything specific you are looking for?" the red-panda spoke with a slight bow, the rest in anticipation on what she might say.
Vosur activated his helmet for a moment so he could quietly speak to Trask. "At the server-room door right now, and looks like the other team's in place for keeping the bulk of the place busy too. Don't forget to let'em know we need the parts for the engine coolant-lines while we're here. The maintenance AI has all the measurements we need for the replacements." he spoke before he heard the server room door open. "Open Sesame.""Line of sight? How do you have line of sight of something inside an asteroid?" Krystal asked "I could also use some new Coolant line parts." Krystal said showing her datapad that displayed the parts she needed.
"Our mining drones can dig well beyond three miles into almost any material, even pure-lead if you happen to come across it in space. The Nano-Plasma Tips will make short work of any asteroid or comet you want to dig into. As long as you have line-of-sight communications, it will continue to follow your commands. Was there anything else you needed?"
Vosur starts looking through the filtered results, finding two that were matched to each other. "Hrm, two invoices for a pair of arms that have kinesis and stasis modules installed in them... 'The Romulan Tal Shiar Admiral'? Sounds like a redacted name, but maybe this is someone Trask knows." he thought out-loud before he copied those to his RIG unit. When that was done, he returned the computer to the state it was in when they entered and looked to the monitor to check to see if there was anyone outside of the door before leaving back out and headed back to the waiting room, returning his helmet back to the stowed-state once he sat back down.
It didn't take long after they returned when the technician came back with a newer Kinesis and Stasis Modules. "We'll give you a newer set for free. The last set you had took a heavy beating."
"Thank you. It is a rough job working on ships." Vosur spoke, putting on the modules himself. He paused for a moment and looked to the technician, then back to the suit-based Kinesis module on his hand. "A bit heavier than my last set. Higher output models?"
"And with a rugged chassis as well. This should make it easier on you and make them last longer too." the tech spoke before he left.
Vosur eyed the modules suspiciously and grabbed a sheet of paper with a pen, writing the words "Do not speak, use text for communication. Possible Tracking Bug installed on Modules, will check in engine-room. Pass on to Trask. " on it before reforming his helmet so that Serena could see through the mask camera system. He then folded the paper to hide it in his armor. He returned back to the entrance to gather up the rest of his gear then he made his way back onto the Steel Avenger, immediately going to the engine room to start work on opening up the modules. "Hm... definitely loose. Maybe I can secure it together than those guys." he spoke, saying it in a manner to try to hide his search. After a while, he came across an extra component that was definitely unusual in the Stasis Module, but nothing out of place in the Kinesis Module. He grabs a container for putting screws and smaller parts, partially filling it with sound-suppression insulation before carefully putting the extra component inside along with a playback device, adding in some more sound-suppression insulation before sealing the container completely and leaving it in the engine room so he could report back. "Sorry for the silent-treatment back there, but I have found out a couple of things. First up: the information from the servers, of which you'll find two invoices which point to a "Tal Shiar" Admiral to have the prosthetics custom-made and shipped to the Kegan System if I saw them right... but please do confirm for yourself." he spoke before turning his back as if to allow removal of the chip from his RIG. "And the second is that I do believe I was set up, and that whoever did set me up wanted to track our movements. Right now, I have the tracking bug in a sound-resistant container in the engine room, having a looping-playback of my breathing going to keep whoever wanted to listen in on me occupied. We do need to get rid of it, but not until we're far enough away from the UT Facility... then we could just fire it out of a cannon to use it as a decoy to throw-off whoever is after us."
"One, you have a unique skill set," Trask told Vosur. "Rarely do I come across someone not under my command that has a skill set like yours. Two, we didn't really have a choice at the Tondam facility after that interloper showed up and started wrecking everything, though I suspect he had his own bone to pick with Tondam. Three, you evidently have connections and know some things we don't. I wouldn't have come to the conclusion I am at had it not been for you leading us to this place."Krystal entered the conference room and sat down her eyes stuck on Torrentus.
Torrentus stepped into the room after that, her dark garb seeming to slightly radiate with the power of the Force. "Are the guards necessary?" she asked.
"Keep in mind, milady, we've been through a lot in the last few hours. But seeing as you aren't our enemy, I see no reason why you should be under guard," Trask stated to her. He waved the guards away. "Please, take a seat. As soon as Krystal and her aides get here, we can get started."
"I imagine you've figured out who's behind this," Torrentus surmised as she took a seat. Her lightsaber glinted in the room's light.
"Given the nature of the costs of the operation, the limbs themselves, and the customization of a ship to be exactly like our guest's, this was no high-risk-low-payoff scheme. How much in terms of resources does this Arai intend on getting? A full armada?" he asked. "I usually keep myself out of other race's politics, but having been put into the light-of-blame for a while, I want to know what this guy intends on gaining exactly.""Girl." Krystal noted. "But on a side note ,why did she frame the Lord-admiral?"
"Then we're gonna have to do this ourselves," Trask said. "Helm - plot a course for the Kegan System, prepare to engage the Translight Jump Drive.""If Arai has any connection to the force i would be invaluable to the landing party." Nari a silver vixen replied as she came into the bridge.
"Aye sir!" the helmsman replied.
Trask turned to those present. "I need all hands on deck - volunteers to help me manage the situation in orbit, and some to head down planetside to take Arai, dead or alive."
"Alright, I'll make sure to keep my Plasma Cutter to a stun setting. I do have a bit of information for anyone that's going to be involved in the attempted-capture." he spoke as he starts changing the setting for the Cutter, then he starts playing the hologram-video of the security-footage of her attack. "First up, she cannot use more than one of the installed modules at a time. They must all tap into the same power-source rather than have separated power cells in normal modules. Second, Kinesis modules work with metallic objects or objects with very-high iron content, they also require line-of-sight and to be within a certain range. So if she attempts to reach out towards you, she may be attempting to grab or push you through using that module. Her saber must be magnetic since she can move it around using it. Lastly, her Stasis module can only be used in a certain radius around herself, she cannot launch a stasis-field like most models. The range on the stasis module is less than the kinesis module. So overall, the tactic in mind is to keep at range away from her, if you can. If you can't stun her, disable the limbs."
"If Arai has any connection to the force i would be invaluable to the landing party." Nari a silver vixen replied as she came into the bridge.
"I can still temporarily disable her lightsaber." Nari noted "And what about me?" Serena asked her hologram appearing ontop of one of the consoles."Alright, I'll make sure to keep my Plasma Cutter to a stun setting. I do have a bit of information for anyone that's going to be involved in the attempted-capture." he spoke as he starts changing the setting for the Cutter, then he starts playing the hologram-video of the security-footage of her attack. "Agreed," Trask said, before Nari walked onto the bridge."If Arai has any connection to the force i would be invaluable to the landing party." Nari a silver vixen replied as she came into the bridge.
"Arai doesn't have any real connection to the Force - just implants and devices that mimic such powers. Either way, you'd be a good asset to the team going down planetside," he told her.
"Course plotted and ready, Admiral," the helmsman announced.
"That just leaves who's coordinating with me in orbit," Trask said. He looked to Ray. "If I plug you into the ship, can I trust you to help me coordinate the fleet against Arai's forces?"
Ray stared at Trask for a few moments before speaking.
“I have never been in command of a fleet-scale battle. But, I am willing to try.”
"Plug in at the Tactical station," Trask suggested. He looked to the officer at said station. "Ensign, assist our friend in connecting. Aid him in any way possible." The fox at the tactical station nodded, and moved aside to allow Ray access. There would be an open port as well as options for wireless connectivity to the console."10 minutes at the most." Serena replied.
"Serena, how much longer to the AO?" Trask asked.
"Proceed to the bridge, Nari - do not let Arai escape," Trask commanded. "All boarding parties - pursue Arai! Capture her if you can, kill her if you must! She must not get away!""Roger, nearing the bridge now." Nari replied before cutting her comm system as she engaged her Psionic sword preparing for a fight, she stepped into the bridge. "Arai You are under arrest!"
"Am I, now?" Arai taunted. "You people certainly are quick, I'll give you that." She activated a Red Lightsaber. "Come on, now - not gonna make this easy on you!"Nari held her psionic sword in a defensive stance, giving Arai the first move...
This time, Arai's blade caught with Nari's Sword, but Arai herself would twist her body to avoid any attempt to disarm or counterattack. She leapt back and extended a hand that began to crackle with lightning.Nari, instictivly held her psionic sword up in attempt to block the faux force lightning that she saw coming, despite being uneffected by the force and able to nullify it's use, she had still been trained to counter most force powers...
