Title: Meet the Staff - Cheza
Post by: Cheza on June 19, 2017, 11:16:10 AM

Ohaidere and stuff! I'm Cheza! Usually I'm a woof, but I tend to switch between my three characters every once in a while.
I'll be looking over the the General and Temporary boards!

* Do you have pets?
Not at the moment, but I'm currently looking into changing that.

* What is your favorite color?
Purple, closely followed by green, brown, black and gray.

* What kind of music do you like?
I'll listen to pretty much anything with some limits, but various kinds of metal are my favorite.

* What do you do on your free time besides spending time on FF?
Playing video games, cooking, going foir walks.. Nothing too exciting.

* What are your goals/dreams in life?
All I wish for is a peaceful worry-free life. Anything amazing happening on top of that will gratefully be considered a bonus.

* What got you involved in FF?
Was looking for a furry forum to hopefully settle down and get active on, and it would appear I found it!

* Who do you admire?
Quite a long list of people.

* Are you into sports?  If so which ones?
Not really into sports anymore, but I used to take riding classes ages ago.

* What is your dream job?
I have yet to figure out what I want to be when I grow up.

* What was your first screenname?
Embarrassing. >->

* Do you have any piercings?
Nope.

* Are you a lefty/righty or ambidextrous?
Righty mostly, tho there are some things I do better with my left. Like for example using my phone.

* Do you have any tattoos?  If not do you wish/plan to get one?
Nope and nope. Tattoos are cool and all, but I can't see me getting one.

* Do you have any siblings?  If so, how many of each?
A brother and a sister.

* What is your favorite website?
Flashback.

* Do you play computer games?  If so, which ones?
I sure do!
On the computer, it's mostly this one MMORPG called RuneScape, as well as Binding of Isaac, Elder scrolls, Stardew Valley and Minecraft, and whatever else that might have caught my attention at the time.

* Do you play video game consoles?  Which ones?
Yup!
My main console these days is the Nintendo 3DS, but I have a bunch of other Nintendo-consoles laying around.
On consoles, I mostly play the Pokémon, Zelda, Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing series of games.

* Are you married or planning to get married?
Nope, but I'm not opposed to the idea of it.

* How many languages do you speak?  If so which ones?
Two and a half! Swedish, English and ridiculously bad Finnish.
I understand Finnish perfectly tho, which is mildly amusing.

* Do you drink?
Sometimes.

* Do you smoke?
Nah.

* Did you play hookey from class?
Nope. I'm a good woof and all that.

* Do you have a driving license?
Nope.

*Do you own a car?
Nope.

* Do you obtain a good amount of sleep daily?
I try to, at least.

* Have you ever been on an airplane?
Never. Could be interesting tho. Just never had any reason to be on one before.

* Have you ever broken a bone?
Fortunately not.

* Do you wear jewelry?  If so what jewelry do you wear?
Yup. I've got a silver necklace with a tiny C on it, and a gold ring.
Rarely ever take them off.

* How do you dress?
Jeans, t-shirts and hoodies mostly. I tend to avoid socks if I can.

* How many keys are on your keyring?
Eight.

* What time do you go to bed?  What time do you wake up?
Trying to not stay up much later than midnight, and waking up at around 7-8 in the morning.

* What's the freakiest thing you have done?
Went grocery shopping while wearing my partial fursuit.
On April Fool's day.

* Do you live alone?
Yup, got a little cave of my very own.

* How many hours a day do you spend in the computer?
Way too many, I guess >->'

* How many hours a day do you spend in FF?
Almost as many as I spend on the computer.

* What is your favorite beverage - coffee, tea, soda, beer, other?
Coffee. It's my new obsession.

* What do you hate?
Ticking clocks.

* What do you love?
Seeing/making people happy.

* What is your religion?
I guess you could say I believe what I want to believe >->'
Not exactly religious, but spiritual.

* What is your hair color?
A reddish brown with a single blonde streak.

* How tall are you?
Around 165cm

* How much do you weigh?
~60kg last I checked.

* What's the feature on FF you can't live without?
"Don't use smileys" <3
I don't hate them or anything, I'm just the kind of weirdo who prefer the text-based appearance over the image one.
So just keep on smiling, everyone!

....And that's a little something about me and stuff.
Feel free to ask me any questions, and I'll try my best to answer. ^^

Question time o3o

What are your least favourite colours?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza
Post by: Cheza on July 22, 2017, 07:53:29 PM
Hmmm, that's a bit tricky actually >->'

I can't really pick out any specific colours, but I'm generally not a too big fan of overly bright/neon-y ones. Sure, some people pull them off reeally great, but I have a hard time seeing myself doing that xP I don't hate any colour tho.

Welcome to the forums and stuff.

Happy you think so, always worried I come off as boring when filling in stuff like this xP
I hang in the forum games and off-topic boards a lot, so perhaps we'll bump into each other there ^^

In place of a Dark Lord, you will have a queen!
Not dark, but beautiful and terrible as the dawn!
Treacherous as the sea!
Stronger than the foundations of the earth!
All shall love me, and despair!

*Cough*

...Sorry, couldn't help myself. :P

Thanks, both of you!
And no worries, I plan to just continue doing what I've always done, just looking (supposedly) 75% more scary while doing so now! ^^

Runescape 3, yesterday.
Oldschool Runescape, a few months ago.

Are the rumors true, do you have a bucket collection?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza
Post by: Cheza on March 10, 2018, 12:33:29 PM
I do.

I am the proud owner of ~10129 buckets.
Got a couple hundred more stored with the tool leprechauns, but that's the amount currently in my bank.
Also didn't count the 11 last buckets in this row as they're bailing buckets rather than regular buckets.
They're still buckets tho, so I suppose they could be used to bump up the number to a nice even 10140. :P

Have any of these legions of 10140 buckets ever saved your life? :o
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza
Post by: Cheza on March 10, 2018, 12:51:12 PM
The bailing buckets are a necessity for success in the Fishing Trawler minigame, so yes.
Those 11 buckets at the end that almost got excluded have probably saved me on many trips out on the great deep sea.

The 1813 buckets with green stuff in them contain ectoplasm-slime and are just the thing to level up your Prayer skill a teeny-tiny bit faster, so they've probably saved me from death by despair.
(At least until I could upgrade my player-owned house with an even better chapel so I can train even faster there. These days they probably wouldn't really help all that much.)

Most of these buckets have also probably held supercompost at one point or another, which is a godsend for the Farming skill.
That's a massive time-sink since it takes half an eternity for plants to grow, and if they die, TOO BAD NO XP FOR YOU!!
Plants are thisandthatmany% less likely to die if you add supercompost when planting however, which means I might actually be able to reach 99 in that skill before the game shuts down/I die.

They truly are the unsung heroes of the game.

I hear the crafty barbarians of the north have a rusty bucket in their possession, but I have never seen it myself as I've never played the Barbarian Assault minigame.
Such is life when you're forever alone.

Best mythe you've heard about yourself?

That I'm self-harm prone and mentally handicapped to the point of being incapable of doing anything for myself, and as such in need of professional care 24/7.

Is it true that once upon a time, a horse died of your care and consideration in Minecraft, then you rowed a boat in a meadow while playing sad music?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza
Post by: Cheza on March 10, 2018, 01:24:10 PM
Yes.

Sir Dusty the Third randomly vanished during one of my long wanders through the endless blocky landscapes.
In my grief, I rowed a boat through a field of carrots with this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2WH8mHJnhM) on in the background.
It was a beautiful and sad moment.
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza
Post by: White Wolf Guardian on March 10, 2018, 01:30:02 PM
I was actually pretty impressed with that music.

Did Sir Dusty the Third have any children before departure from your perspective?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza
Post by: Cheza on March 10, 2018, 01:32:03 PM
No, but his parents and siblings were alive and well.
And he did eventually return to me in the form of a skeleton horse.
Small victories and all that.
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza

Have you ever tamed a skeleton horse and created a legion of skeletal allies?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza

I did eventually end up with way more skeleton horses than I even knew what to do with, so I guess I have. >->

Are you planning on getting a Bran fullsuit/partial commission eventually?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza
Post by: Cheza on March 10, 2018, 02:42:00 PM
Doubt it.

I'm far too small, and would probably want to have Zarathus or someone else who makes scaly creatures out of materials other than fake fur making it, and those are pretty uncommon. >->

I'm plotting to defile woof by making that suit myself, however.
Would just need to get over the "I'm just going to waste money by screwing up and creating nightmare fuel"-feels first. >->
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza
Post by: White Wolf Guardian on March 10, 2018, 02:43:21 PM
I believe you can do it woof!

About that "woof ball" avatar you previously had, where did that come from?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza
Post by: Cheza on March 10, 2018, 02:52:39 PM
I made it!

A friend of mine requested a woofball for Christmas, but due to it being impossible to find fur in the right shade of brown on such short notice, it got delayed until after Christmas.
Got plans to make at least one more to keep for myself since the size/shape was awfully comfy, and I've got plenty of fur left to spare.
I've also made a pattern for handpaws and figured out measurements for a tail, but I still lack black fleece fabric and foam sheets to really get the madness rolling.

As an extra bonus, I've learned how to take measurements and draw clothing patterns at school, so I could probably make a bodysuit fairly easy too!
I don't think I've got quite enough fur for that too tho, but I suppose it's always possible to order more since it seemed to be of good enough quality for this.
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza
Post by: White Wolf Guardian on March 10, 2018, 02:57:58 PM
How much does the fabric material cost in Finland? I wonder if it costs the same as it does in the United States.
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza
Post by: Cheza on March 10, 2018, 03:22:17 PM
I got a roll of 250 x 150 cm fur for 45€ + 20€ for shipping.
It's been established by many local makers that local fur is pretty crappy (and also never really available in solid colours), so most prefer to import.
I got mine from Belarus.
Looking at Fursuitsupplies, they ask for ~$20-25/yard for luxury shag/Punky Muppet fur, which is what most makers supposedly use, altho many probably don't get it from there and prices are probably cheaper/more expensive elsewhere.

Fleece seems to be around 8-15€/metre depending on the kind.
In the US, the prices are around $9-15/yard.

So, relatively close to about the same, I suppose. Have you ever tried to make feet paws?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza
Post by: Cheza on March 10, 2018, 03:40:24 PM
I've looked at a few tutorials and pretty much figured out how to make them, but I've yet to actually try making them.

Do you think that the digitigrade feets are painful to walk around in?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza
Post by: Cheza on March 10, 2018, 04:38:23 PM
They shouldn't be, seeing as you're still able to walk and stand pretty much normally.
They can be a bit awkward at first before you learn how to walk in them (due to the size), but I don't think they should be painful.
At worst, I'd imagine that the digitigrade leg-padding makes the bodysuit a lot hotter to wear than a plantigrade suit would be, but that's about it.
I have no idea tho, as I've never worn a digitigrade suit myself, but I've been behind the scenes a few times.
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza
Post by: White Wolf Guardian on March 10, 2018, 04:55:18 PM
I would probably enjoy digitigrade a lot if I felt like I was strong enough to handle walking on all fours for an extended period of time.

Have you ever tried walking on all fours for the entire day?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza
Post by: Cheza on March 10, 2018, 05:02:54 PM
You mean quadsuits?

Yeah, those require people to be in reasonably good physical condition.
While I've always admired Beastcub's works, I dunno if I'd survive walking around in one for longer than 10 minutes at most.
If I ever ended up with such a suit, I'd also have to look into the possibility of having someone pushing me around on a small cart or something. xP

And nope, I haven't tried that.

Out of all three of your characters (in your signature), which one do you feel like you identify with the most?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza
Post by: Cheza on March 10, 2018, 05:30:52 PM
Funnily enough, I think Muiri (the middle one) is the one I have the most in common with.
Cheza isn't too far off, but I always imagine her to be way more confident and adventurous than actual me.

I tend to do with what you do with Cheza for "White".

Do you feel like you constantly strive to be like your character?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza
Post by: Cheza on March 10, 2018, 05:45:42 PM
In some ways I wish I could be more like her, yes.
I'm far too vain to actually go the full mile of cutting my hair short, and painting random stripes on my face would look pretty silly, but I wouldn't mind working up the confidence to start dressing and acting more like her. >->

Yoshi's Island was the first I remember managing to beat, but I'm not sure if it was the first.
I'll go with that tho.

Yes, but the Yoshies only get happier and happier and happier.

The black and purple Yoshi's are the most powerful ones!

Do you play Super Smash Bros (games) and if so, who is your favorite character to play as?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza
Post by: Cheza on March 11, 2018, 06:52:37 PM
I've played SSB 64, SSBB and SSB43DS.

In 64 I used to play as red partyhat Pikachu (because that was really important for some reason) and in SSBB as Zelda/Sheik.
Really tried to like the 3DS game but for some reason I just can't with it.
I also have SSBM but I've never gotten around to playing it.
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza
Post by: White Wolf Guardian on March 11, 2018, 06:56:38 PM
Ever since the adventure mode kind of thing was taken out, I haven't felt as motivated to play those games anymore x.x.

Do you think that Animal Crossing will continue to have new features with new games coming out or do you think the series has/will die(d) out soon?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza
Post by: Cheza on March 11, 2018, 07:15:48 PM
Considering how little there actually is to do in those games as it is (Or well, there's plenty of stuff to collect and all that, but very little variety in how to go about doing that), it wouldn't surprise me if they manage to come up with more/new stuff for that series for at least a couple more games.
I'd personally be happy to see more villagers/personalities (perhaps with old characters getting new personalities? THEY BETTER NOT TOUCH BOB THO BECAUSE HE'S PERFECT) and perhaps a bunch of minigames to break up the monotony.
Some way of having more control over where neighbour houses are built would be fun too, as it's really annoying to spend half an eternity crossbreeding flowers only to have heckin Pietro move in exactly on top of your favorite flower bed or in the middle of a carefully planned path or just otherwise somewhere where you'd really rather not have someone live because some random town decoration would've been nice in that exact spot. >->

And obviously it'd also be nice if the player character could be an animal.
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza
Post by: White Wolf Guardian on March 11, 2018, 11:02:52 PM
I really wish that we could make animal characters in Animal Crossing too...

Is Bob truly the best cat? Has Bob shown you mercy for your sins?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza
Post by: Cheza on March 11, 2018, 11:59:10 PM

I think he is, because he's a lazy purple cat who seem to like the Kiddie furniture series.
I like purple, I like cats, I like the lazy personality, and I like the Kiddie furniture series.
It's almost as if it was meant to be.
But Tabby is a close second. She frequently pops up on "Ugliest/worst/least favourite villager"-lists, but I like her.

Bob has yet to move into my AC:NL town, so I guess that must mean I've yet to be forgiven.
Could of course also be that Leonardo has threatened him into staying away tho, as I can't imagine the two getting along too well... >->

And yeah, kinda sucks to literally be the only non-anthro in the whole stoopid game.
On that note, the whole character creation/customization thing could do with a revamp.
Like, every time I start playing after a long break and my character has gotten stuck with bed-hair, I need to dig out a frigging guide to figure out how to get the hairstyle and colour I want despite it literally being a trip to a hairdresser! Instead of her asking tons of cryptic multiple-choice questions, there should really just be a list of what's available and you get to pick and choose from there without all the extra stuff. Same with the colour. I almost never get that right, even with the guide, and end up looking like someone's poured mud on my head... >_>
Same goes for the intro-cutscene-questions. They really should have NOTHING to do with what your facial expression is going to look like. But they do, because that makes sense. Somehow.
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza
Post by: White Wolf Guardian on March 12, 2018, 12:50:41 AM
Bob does sound pretty fun. Something tells me that Animal Crossing will never allow you to go anthro, I wish you could though. The introductory questions in general have been pretty unfair lol.

Do you have any screenshots of your town by any chance?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza
Post by: Cheza on March 14, 2018, 05:04:53 PM
I did go to snap some new pictures to show off my town, but then I remembered that "Ohaidere stupid, you have a "NEW 3DS" now, good luck with that." so trying to get them onto my computer would be pretty painful.
So sadly I don't have any.
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza

Darn! I wanted to see your flag and stuff!

Have you ever built an entire wooden structure in Minecraft only to have it burned down by a single fire from a lightning storm?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza
Post by: Cheza on March 14, 2018, 05:20:00 PM
My flag? It's this thing, with colours reduced, downsized to 50x50 (I think it was), tidied up, and recreated in the pattern design tool.

...Yeah, DumbScape infects almost everything I do. >->

And nope, can't remember it happening at least.
Closest I think was that one time when I built a thing out of wool somewhat close-ish to a lava pool.
It caught fire and my mod-added pet fox perished in the flames.
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza
Post by: White Wolf Guardian on March 14, 2018, 05:24:23 PM
I still like that flag anyways!

That fox's demise is depressing ;(

Have you ever actually caught all of the pokemon in a single pokemon game?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza
Post by: Cheza on March 14, 2018, 05:31:13 PM

Yeah, to this day I still feel like the game was cheating there. >->
I was pretty far away from the lava and everything.
AND WOOL ISN'T EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE ALL THAT FLAMMABLE ANYWAY!!
Or so I'm told...

I've completed a few regional dexes, but I've never truly managed to catch them all.

Unless Pokémon Moon's extremely slimmed down dex counts, of course. >->
In which case, yes, I caught them all in Pokémon Moon!

I'm still mad about the Pokedex in Sun and Moon :(.

Do you think that Sun and Moon are a "good start" or a general wrong direction?

While I don't think the new games are all bad, I don't like where they're going and Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon's Rotom dex is the most annoying sidekick I've ever had the misfortune of encountering in a video game. >-> HERE'S SOME ADVICE YOU DIDN'T ASK FOR!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D

Alola is no doubt beautiful and many of the new features are pretty nice, but everything just feels so limited and boxed in when compared to some of the earlier games.
It was nice that they dared to try something new with the whole island challenge thing, but personally I'd love for them to go back to the usual stuff next time.

It'd also be nice if they could skip the three hour long tutorials/make the tutorial optional. And stop assuming I can't think. Perhaps some sort of age-feature could be added too? Like, the character model and dialogue/difficulty changes slightly depending on if you're above a certain age? Not by too much, but just enough to keep older fans from feeling like dinosaurs.

The lack of a national dex also kinda makes the games feel even more "empty" in a sense.
I hope it'll return some day, but I guess not. *sob*

These changes worries me, but I won't give up hope just yet.
Gen 8 will tell.

I'm really hoping that Gen 8 fixes a lot of these issues.

Do you like the dance moves of the gang members in Gen 7 :P?

They try. :P

Mostly I feel sorry for them.

Nope.
I don't believe in god, so it's never been much of a concern.

But have your ever seen a pokemon with those gang dance moves?

I have!

I used to like watching those "X walks like Team Skull"-compilation things.

Team Skull, the unstoppable gang with it's unstoppable Pokemon center (For a fee).

Did you catch yourself a wild lepras in Sun and Moon? (The pain and torture)

Several!
Tho I think most of them came from Poké Pelago so I didn't exactly have to catch them.
I LOVE LAPRAS AND COULDN'T JUST SHOO THEM AWAY!!!

I spent forever hunting for Feebas, however.
Or well, three days. >->
I trusted Google when it told me to go fish for it in the Totem Den in Brooklet Hill.
Three days. Three. Days.
All because Google sent me to some other place and not to Bulbapedia as it should have.
THE INTERNET LIED TO ME!!

Oh my god, I still remember hunting for Feebas, it was so HORRIBLE. NEVER AGAIN. Now... try to catch a shiny Feebas.

How many shiny pokemon have you catched/hatched over the course of time?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza

I already have one! Or well, -had-
It's a shiny Milotic now.

I've caught ~60-70 across all games.
Most in Sun/Moon, but I did also catch a random encounter Miltank in SoulSilver and a random Wailmer in Sapphire.
I also have all the Eeveelutions as shinies in Alpha Sapphire + a Zorua and Magikarp.

Wow, I've only caught 2 shiny Pokemon from over 10 years of playing >.<.

Why do normal type Pokemon still seem terrible? Am I the only person that thinks it is a disadvantage to use one?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza

They are pretty lackluster unless they're Whitney's Miltank or Meowth of Team Rocket.
Or well, Snorlax and Chansey/Blissey seem to pop up in competitive play every now and then.
Oh, and Smeargle with Dark Void also used to be kind of a big deal until it got nerfed.
I don't play competitively tho so I really wouldn't know.

Guess part of their problem is that they're usually amongst the first creatures you encounter and possibly also catch in the game (Ratata/Pidgey, Zigzagoon, Bidoof/Starly, Patrat/Lillipup/Pidove, and so on), and Pokémon you get early on usually don't end up becoming particularly strong even after evolving, which makes all of them appear weak.
Sure, exceptions exist since I recall having and using a Stoutland in B/W with pretty good results, and Pidgeot can be kinda beastly too (but that's also not pure Normal type. It's also just so beautiful and muhjastic in its simplicity that I just can't help but love it and so I'm probably biased), but on a whole, since they have no particular strengths or resistances (aside from Ghost, which also resists Normal), it usually seems like a better idea to just use something else instead, or something that's not pure Normal-type.

Yeah, I guess you're right about that. I wish Kangaskhan, Tauros, Porygon, Licklicky, and other such Pokemon had more to offer though >.>...

Do you think we will ever get to find out about the "Pokemon War" and what actually happened?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza
Post by: Cheza on March 22, 2018, 03:02:54 PM
Mega Kangaskhan is a thing and supposedly also a pretty ok choice for battling, but Mega evolution is cruel. >->

I highly doubt it, and in some ways I'm kinda happy about that.
Unless they changed their current "childish" Gen7 ways and made it more mature-ish, I think it'd be a pretty disappointing experience.
Like, if it was on the same level as the Pokémon Generations special episodes, it'd probably be good, but if it was like the Sun/Moon-games, it wouldn't.

I wish we would go back to the "mature" era lol.

Do you think the "Game Corner" will ever return, or is that "abolished" for sake of the aforesaid "childish" direction of the games?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza
Post by: Cheza on March 23, 2018, 08:40:18 PM
I think it was removed to comply with gambling laws and to ensure the age rating wouldn't go up, so I highly doubt it'll return. At least not in the slot machine form.
A Game Corner that wasn't like a casino, but that had a bunch of other minigames in it could probably be made. The ones in Pokémon-Amie were quite fun, especially the one where you bounce yarn balls.
Pokéathlon from HG/SS comes to mind too. There's a lot that could be done.

Was the porygon worth every 9999 coin?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Cheza

I loved the slot machines too tbh. >->
Minigames would be the next best thing.

I'd have to say yes, because I like Porygon.
Perhaps not the best Pokémon for battles, but the idea behind it and its evolutions is pretty cool.
