Title: Westworld's Furry Implications
Post by: John Red Beard on October 15, 2016, 03:17:54 AM
Westworld is a new show on HBO (pretty good). It takes place at an unspecified time in the future, at a sort of Wild West theme park where all the characters are played by super realistic androids called Hosts. Visitors interact with them and take part in a variety of stories: treasure hunts, manhunts, bank robberies, etc. It's like a live MMO. And yes, there's lots of opportunities to sleep with the Hosts. It's HBO, after all.

This all raises a lot of questions that the show hasn't address yet, and might never. For instance, are there other theme parks set in different historical eras or even fantasy environments? Is there a Regency World for Jane Austen fans, or Camelot for us medieval enthusiasts? Most relevant for this forum, if they can make realistic human and animal robots, why not humanoid animals?

If there was a Fur World, would you visit it? What attractions would you want to find there?
