Hi guys!
I just wanted to let you all know that we've made some changes to the Random Board. The Random board has historically been a place in the forums where people can sort of post things that generally don't belong in other boards, such as small conversations and what-not, and we wanted to keep that. But lately we've felt that the Random board has monopolized some of the other boards, as a lot of threads that generally belong in another board have been posted to Random, which is something that is allowed but is not ideal. So we wanted to implement some changes to help reduce the monopolization of the random board while keeping the spirit of it.
The first change is from here on out the Random board will no longer be called the Random board, it's been renamed to "Off-topic", to better illustrate it's appropriate use. The description will also be changed to better illustrate that use. Now if you post a thread that belongs in another board but you posted in the Off-Topic board, we'll send you a PM asking whether you'd want to move it. We encourage you to say yes, but if you say no there won't be any negative consequences.
Basically we just want to make sure that each board is used for what it's designed for, we didn't want to force anyone to move their threads out of the Off-topic board, but we want to encourage people to post them in the appropriate place. Also remember, threads in the off-topic board don't count towards your post count, but threads in some other boards do :P

We've changed the process a little bit, to speed up the process we will now be moving threads out off the Off-Topic board without any PM. However you wull not be warned for having your thread moved and you can request to have your thread moved back to Off-Topic.
