Nice to know that there are more sweds of this community.. though I'm sure there are quite alot hiding somewhere. I saw a cat while in the line for a cosplay convention. But he/she was going somewhere else, I wanted to stalk him/her so badly, just to see if there was any kind of meeting, but I had been waiting in that line for two hours. Oh well.. so yeah, tell me about yourselves, or don't. I can't force anyone T_T ...or? nah.. or can I? naah.

Gotland can be very desolate. I've visited once when I was very young. Nowadays, my teacher, who has a summer place there tell the class beautiful stories from the place, so I'm very anxious to go visit once I become more free in movement. Maybe take a stroll and hike through the lands.

Its just boring here, becuz people here is so... boring xD
I got a few friends but all we do is to play games and talk, i love big city's, so i want to move as soon as possible, probably to Göteborg or Stockholm.
There is sooo much more to do in the big city's, than in Visby :(
I love to be out in the forest, but not here. too much pine, and not where there i much bugs :/
Loves spring, cuz there is almoast no bugs out, and the weather is still beautiful and warm.

Just recently found great self confidence and that made me join this site, wanting to find new contacts and cool people to talk with.
I'm moving to Göteborg myself after this summer, though too large cities makes me nervous at the moment, but after a month that won't be no problem any more :D
So what is it in the big cities that you want to do? What is making your mind wander to those places?

I don't really know, i know there is much more fun things there than here, like cool nightclubs, awesome "äventyrsbad" (dont know the translate XD )
and just allot of cool places to chill ^_^
You don't have to w8 days for new released games/books/things to come, they will be there at the release date.
Got a friend who lives near Göteborg and 2 at Stockholm (1 there and 1 near)
I don't really know why, but i just like Göteborg :)
And probably more things that wont pop up in my tired head.

Oh, you get things later? That's a downer :( I have a couple of cousins that live in Göteborg, I'm very close to my family so that will be fun. As for nightclubs, I don't like getting drunk on anything other than laughter and friends so I wouldn't be as tipsy as everyone else going. Which might be the reason I'm never invited to such stuff but oh well ^_^

Just saying, yes there is the rule, but I think being a topic for mainly/only Swedes, use of our native language could be a little more allowed? Just a thought.. and you would know which language were speaking, so translation shouldn't be that hard should one wish to verify we're not speaking of bad things.
Like, because of the nature or this board, perhaps the rule could be a bit more relaxed. Of course the exception would only apply for use of the language associated with the country the topic is meant for. In this case Swedish.
Because in all honestly it kinda makes sense and overall I feel would be a little nicer for everyone.

Sorry, but that is not possible as it is right now. Allowing posts on the forum that are in languages other than English would require having moderators that can read a variety of languages other than English. Our staff team has to be able to read posts on the forum in order to do their job. While it might be more convenient to you as an individual, it would make things a heck of a lot more complicated for other people.
If you want to talk to someone in another language, you can always use PMs. If English is not your native language and you aren't sure how to translate something in a post, there are tons of translation tools to be found on the internet if need be. And we don't even have a problem with it if you need to leave a word or two untranslated, as long as most of it is English.
If you want to discuss rule changes, please make a Helpdesk ticket for it instead of replying to a staff member's moderation.

And if there is issues, you can just ask one or more of the members that have knowledge in whatever language to verify what it means.. I only mean it for a discussion in your native language strictly in these topics. I.e. not anywhere else in the forum.

But if every topic in here was written in its native language it would be much work for a couple of moderators to translate every post to see if any rules have been broken. And it really isn't that hard to keep it in english. It's choosing between making it just a little difficult for many or very difficult for few moderators.

No, I'm speaking strictly this topic (and the others in this board).
Like, we are allowed to speak Swedish here but the rule still applies everywhere else. And I'm not saying necessary all words.. Then there are tools that can translate full pages at a time..

The difference is, when I was referring to using the translating tools, I was referring to a single person using it for the purposes of translating one or two posts. To have two or more people holding a conversation, posting back and forth throughout a day, could easily lead to several pages of text that multiple moderators would each have to translate. And while pages of text CAN be translated all at once, pages of posts are NOT made all at once, and posts at the top of a page should not have to wait to be moderated until a page is full of posts. Thus, we would end up translating partial pages at a time, regardless of the ability of the translation tools.
Not only that, but translation tools don't always work, and although it may be fine for regular posting, I wouldn't want a translator's reliability determining whether or not you get in trouble in the event of a questionable situation, would you? The translator would also require that everyone be able to write and spell correctly in their chosen language, which is something that does not always happen. Colloquial language and cultural differences cannot be covered by a translator, and it is not fair to the staff to make them hunt down someone who speaks the language if they have a question.
And while it's easy enough to identify that you're speaking Swedish in the Sweden board, if we let you speak Swedish, we'd have to let everyone else speak their own languages in their own country boards because it's only fair. Then the moderators - who would be left using the translator tools - are also left guessing at what language people are speaking because it's not always so obvious.
Like I said before... It may sound convenient for you, but it makes things a heck of a lot more complicated for others. It doesn't matter if it's just in one thread or twenty or two hundred. I'm not an idiot, nor am I unsympathetic to what you're saying. I have fully thought this through, and this is not a matter I would be willing to change my mind about unless it would not further complicate our staff's duties.
Please get back on topic.

Im playing allot of minecraft with Bayzan, and some with Timmy tha fax. ^_^
I knew so manny that said that Mass Effect was awesome, so about a week back, i decided to download and play trough them.
They are awesome, im at the 3rd now and its hard to stop playing it X3

Cuz we had a deep rule discussion a wile back in this thread... admins want to be able to read everything so there is nothing against the rules, you know, as an example, if people starts fighting or threatening etc etc, the forum admins must be able to read the evidence. Its in the rules that writing shall be in english, and dosent matter what threads its in. ^_^
but yeah, me and timmy was arguing against the admins about that XD

It is awesome... have even been to 1 geocache meeting at gotland :3
Running low on caches in Visby now, sense i did the "31 days of geocaching" event during the whole aug...
had to find 1 ea day for the whole month... dam that was challenging X3
All together, ive found 48 caches this far. ^_^
You should try it, its fun, and for people like me, it gives you an motivation to get out more, witch im trying to. ^_^

Same thing here, but my problem is that my friends dosent live near Visby. :/
Its not too many caches, there is people with 2000+ @.@ (those are ofc traveling around the world to get them)
But yeah, i guess its about 50 caches, just in Visby... they are srsly everywhere! (except for north korea)

Anywho, i live at Gotland, styding Engeneering, i was born in wisconsin but moved to Sweden just a little bit later, so ive grown up here ;)
(my dad is an American, mom is from Sweden) so yeah, my birth place wasent really close either XD

Oh I'm loving it! I live within the wall and really enjoy the lack of heavy traffic. Close to the ocean is always nice, I went swimming last week, it was okay then but I don't feel like going in this windy week ^_^; Been studying a lot in the library too, noisy place! Well yeah, I'm feeling very good here ^_^

I might consider NFC next year. I debated going this year but I figured it wouldn't be too easy for me to get myself to Stockholm let alone staying there a few days by myself as I've never actually been away from home on my own other than to visit distant friends XP

Was my first time going to Sweden alone, but was traveling with a friend who had been there before so I survived the trip just fine xD

Oh well, navigating such strange and tropical places as cities may sometimes be harder than it seems.
On our school trip to Stockholm, almost the whole class got lost when we realised the train didnt go back to where we came from, and we had no choice but to walk xD

Would never have made it anywhere on foot since I have almost no experience at all with bigger cities xP

Oh, a quick update on my last post in here: I finally got around to testing Swedish Pepsi last NFC.
It does not taste like Finnish coke, but like store-brand cola.
Pretty entertaining if you ask me.
And finally, if the powers that be allows it, I'll be invading Sweden again during next years NFC ^^

Also while we are on the topic, any other places that furrys meetup here in sweden or in general hang out? Facebook can go and F*** of beacuse it does not want me to have a account for charlie and there is no way im telling the people i know about this fandom Oo
I did meet some furs at närcon this year but lost contact with em since facebook terminated my last furry account. So, any social media apps or anything else :) ?

Ah I see, western side then! I'm not all too aware of too many meets and such over there, might be one or two in Göteborg but otherwise the only one I'm familiar with is a monthly one in Stockholm. There's also a convention held yearly around the Stockholm area if you'd be interested in that.
