I've been looking around at all the furry events, but haven't seen any indications of a Fur Con in St.Louis, MO.
I found out a while back that St.Louis has a fairly large furry community, but few events are listed for the area. :?
Anyone know of any other Fur Cons in the Midwest other than the one in Chicago?

well...I dunno if rocky mountain fur con here in colorado is part of the midwest cuz...don't pay attenchion to that :$ Its a days drive from st.Louis so there's one you could look into going if your interested.
Could join moongaze and I and a few other furs for the best time eva there.

Thats funny cuz one of the few furries I know around here in WA just moved to your St. Louis... I don't think she's on here a whole lot, but she has an account.

Sorry, I don't know if there is a fur con in that area....Infact...I can't think of any con in that area....Ill ask muh cousins. they know it better than I do.

I'm feeling a bit like i'm the only fur in a 100 mile radius in my current area. I'm about 13 miles from the Iowa border so if there's any people from Iowa who are close to the border too, feel free to respond. The biggest town i'm near is Bethany if that helps point out how near.
P.s. if you near a town known as Maryville that can work too, as I visit there once awhile.
P.S.S I like pie.

As far as I know, I'm the only fur in the SW Missouri area. If you live within about 300 miles (a days drive for my parents) of Springfield, Missouri, post here so that way I know if I can see if I'm not the only one in the area who likes furries.
(Oh and I live in Reeds Spring, Missouri. A town 42 miles south of Springfield. I just posted Springfield for a larger more recognizable town. Springfield is the 3rd largest city in the state of Missouri, btw)

Theres a con that happened last year and most likely will happen again this year, up north near KC.
It was called the Central Midwest Furmeet (i helped organize it).
Anyway... you can find an explanation about it on the wikifur.
By the way.. any furs on here around Joplin or SW MO?? Be nice to know im not the ONLY fuzzy running around. ^_^

I lived in Lee's Summit for a good long 19 years of my 19 years of living, but now I'm living in Lexington. Dunno if that's still the KCMO area.

Well looks like there are a few furries all over Missouri, I my self am in the greater St.Louis area, but most of the actual conventions here are Comic and Fandom based.
Nice to know that there are some events actually happening in Missouri that are furry based.

There's a whole group of us in Springfield! In fact next weekend, we've got a furmeet at the Mediacom Ice Park for the free ice skating. LOL

Welp been awhile since i've asked but, Do any fellow Missouri furs help guard the Iowa border?! Bethany is the biggest place in the area I live as it's a bunch of farm communities. I also go to Maryville some weekends, if anyone is near there.

After looking through the replies on where most Missouri Furs live, It looks like most of the Missouri Furs are around the Kansas City area, with the next largest group around St.Louis. :)
But both groups of furs in those areas are still kind of small. :S

Well so far, my sister is the only one to make something about it. My friends are supported well most of them are because I am into cosplaying as well. They just see it as another thing I like to do. I can not wait to make my fur suit and go suiting out in public :3

Sadly, the Missouri was never a really strong state for the furries who are actually willing to admit they are furry, and this topic has been slow to get replies ever since it got created.

I'm still a Missouri fur for probably three more months before I join the Military, but after that. Missouri is most probably going to lose a fur. Still near the Iowa border as of right now, with Bethany being the closest place of any significant size.

St.Louis, Kansas City, and Springfield seem to be the key Fur cities in Missouri... Not sure why, but may have to do with those also being the three largest cities that aren't the state capital.

Hello all U guys! I just found this little gem of a website and decided to join it. I live in St. James, which is like in the center of Springfield, St. Louis, and Columbia. I must agree that this is quite the "dead" state for furs. However, for you guys that live by Springfield, i'd check out F3. Its been 21 days since this topic has been posted on; hope that y'all haven't stopped lookin.

Technically I live in Belleville Illinoise about 30 minutes across the Mississippi from St.Louis (i've taken to referring to my town as "Barely Illinoise") but almost everyone on the illinoise forum lives by Chicago and I cant deal with driving five hours constantly. If it hasn't already been mentioned, I thing there's a Gateway Furmeet coming up in may or something

I spent a lot of my childhood in the country. Reynolds County area (My Grandpa's Farm), and southern Jefferson County where I lived while growing up.
Best thing about it was having access to four ply radial inter tubes for float trips on Big River.

I know it's a bit odd to make a new topic for this but it seams like everyone in Illinois is by Chicago and everyone in Missouri is far away in their own way. Basically, I'm looking for people who, even if we never did, would have a chance to hang out in real life. It seems like all my furry friends are at least a state away at this point. Not ideal if you maybe wanted to go to a convention or fur suit outing together.
So if anyone out there take an interest and wants to chat hit me up on pretty much anything, kik is Cinder42 is, as is my name on literally every other site or anything. Maybe if enough people are interested we can start a group chat or something.

Well, with nothing going on and no one pushing for furry related events, what do we really have to talk about?
Missouri is a big state, and based on the people that have posted it doesn't have a focused area for furries to gather to.
Then there is the politicians who seem to think that pushing you under the poverty line will make you happy somehow, and then they want to make things worse by yanking any benefits away that would help you make ends meet.
So, yay, not much going on that Missouri furries actually want to talk about.

Hi, I'm Stormy, and I'm from the Kansas City area, currently of Lees Summit to be exact. nice to meet everyone. I know of exactly one other fur...er, scalie, near me, who talked me into joining the forums and has helped me develop my long-forgotten fursona even more. Anyway, if anyone is out our way, it'd be cool to meet other local furries I suppose. My social anxiety doesn't let me get to know others easily, at least not in person.
