****After a long and hard bout of considering whether or not I'd actually go through with my idea I've decided that I'd at least try and see if I can get people on this wagon.****
Alright to first explain it in funny ha-ha terms the basic jist of the JoJo universe is that characters fight using psychic manifestations of their soul. characters and powers are mostly named after songs/musicians. These soul manifestations are called 「Stands」and are as varied in as varied in appearance, power and usefulnessas those who world them. They aren't usually sentient and more or less an extension of the users psyche. Considering this. Not all Stands are made equal. Some can be powerful or cripplingly situational. Durable or Squishy and some can even be detrimental to the user as a whole. 「Stands」usually share and reflect injuries with their user and will (with very rare exceptions) die when their user is killed. Likewise a user can also be killed if their stand is destroyed.

So now that I've carried you through the best I could I'm going to set up a story scenario.
The year is 2004, The world is in pretty good shape for what it's worth but in reality a dangerous team of stand users is targeted for a very hefty bounty. One which has attracted and killed many Novice stand users. Almost no progress has been made through this method but two incredibly stupid stand users have cooked up a plan to (suprise, suprise) form a team so they can tackle the bounty and (hopefully) get what the money that has been attracting everyone in the first place.

-Sends out a blast of green flames which damage all targets in a 20 foot radius. Especially effective against targets made of synthetic materials. Requires a long recharge between blasts.
Goal: Needs to earn money to send home to his family.
Extra Info: Sergei is a new stand user, and has taken up contract killing out of desperation as a way to help out his impoverished loved ones. He has little combat experience.

---The dimly lit streets of Brooklyn, New York---
Daryl and Red were making their way down an alley, These two had met up and decided to return to where the contract had been given to them. They found themselves in a sort of back lot area which faced a derelict basketball court surrounded by chain link fencing with a large tenement building over looking this alleyway, They discreetly made their way up the fire escape stairs that had landed themselves next to the elevator control door and stopped at what'd be the sixth floor. Making their way through the boarded windows which had a hole that allowed them to climb through. This was supposed to be the spot and it was still the poorly aged derelict backroom that they got their contracts in.

Sergei came to the boarded-up window and hesitated for a moment. Was he really going to go through with this? Meet up with a bunch of contract killers and make his living with murder? He shook his head silently and clenched his fist with determination. This was his only choice.
He bowed his head and wriggled through the gap in the boards as best he could. It was a tight fit, but eventually he stumbled through to the other side. Looking around, Sergei noticed two strange figures squatting in the shadows. "H-hello there," he called nervously.

They both turned before one reached up and grabbed a pull-chain, With a silent movement the room was lit up and the two figures were revealed to be a Rabbit and a Bull, The Rabbit looked at Sergei and pushed his brown flat cap up with his thumb "You here for the contract?"

Jax sat in the corner of the room, as silent and deadly as any weapon.

Sergei nodded tentatively. "Yes, it said you were looking for stand users willing to risk their lives for a bounty," he replied. "That's me."
The sabertooth held his chin high in a show of confidence, but inside he burned with nerves. He'd never met up with dangerous characters like this before.

"Hm." Red said before his stand appeared behind him, It was a bronze figure of an anthro horse which resembled some sort of Hellenic portrait statue "Let me see it then"
Daryl chuckled and rubbed his unkempt and scraggly beard as his stand appeared behind him, It seemed to be a tall figure made of a mix of rope, burlap and hay, best described as some sort of scarecrow creature

Jax made his stand appear, and morphed it into a long sword, which clanged at Daryl's feet.

Sergei nodded tersely. Before him appeared a black golem-like figure, constructed of wrought iron. It was covered in dozens of cylindrical protrusions, each with a thin hole on the end. It's head had two cruelly curving horns mounted on top, also made of the same wrought iron material.
Sergei glanced back and forth between the bull and the lizard. "If you want to see what it can do, we should probably go outside. It's a little...explosive," he said nervously.

"Let's save that for when we get more info about who exactly we ar-" Soon enough Red was interrupted as the out of date TV turned on with a cheap instructional video playing on the screen. This video started giving information of who exactly they'd be needing to kill "The people you are going to be killing are FOUR former Assassin's! Death, War, Pestilence and Famine. These four are VERY VERY good at killing and maiming but luckily you group of Idio- I mean, "Associates" have a 50/50 chance of not dying in horrific fashions.
Also, I'd like to warn you about the competitive side of the bounty hunting business, considering how you guys have a chance of cashing in these bounties you should expect all of your "co-workers" outside this little sausage-fest to want you guys dead, Anyway the bounties DO happen lead to one another so I'll give you guys the coordinates of who you should target first."
And with that the screen faded to a map of the U.S which pinpointed the target as somewhere in Michigan. Afterwards the screen faded to an American flag waving with the message, "This concludes out broadcast day...". And, With a short playthrough of the anthem the TV cut to static and the VHS dispensed enough money for a greyhound bus ride that'd take them to Michigan

Jax took away his stand and got up, moving toward the door.

Sergei scratched his head wonderingly. "It looks like our employer is staying anonymous..." he said, a suspicious edge to his voice.
He looked at the other three in the room. "I guess the way forward is pretty clear, though. We take a bus ride to Michigan from here and start looking for clues about the assassin's whereabouts," he suggested. He walked over to the VHS player and picked up the small bundle of cash. This was it, their ticket to starting their mission, he thought.

"Alright, let's head off." He went towards the door as Daryl put on a ball cap and sighed
Daryl- "Let's just hope these assassins are somewhere warmer"

Sergei shoved the cash into his pocket and followed the rest of the group. "Well, Michigan isn't exactly known for being warm," he replied. He was used to cold weather, however, and didn't worry about it too much. What he was truly worried about was testing himself in deadly combat.
"Where's the closest bus station? I'm not familiar with this area..." he asked uncertainly.

"It should be in front of the Chinese place." Red said "Luckily that'd be just across from this building" Red made a *follow me* motion and started making his way to the elevator

Sergei followed along behind him to the elevator. He looked around at his new teammates apprehensively.
"Hey, maybe we should introduce ourselves. Since we're gonna be working together for a while..." he suggested, shifting his feet awkwardly. "I'm Sergei."

Red leaned his back on the elevator wall "I'm Red, Big Tex over there is Daryl." Daryl pressed the first floor button and tipped his hat at Sergei

Sergei nodded to them both, please to be a little more familiar with these strangers. It was better than thinking of them as nameless. He turned to the draconic figure next to them.
"And what about you?" he asked as the elevator doors opened.

Sergei glanced through the window as the elevator continued down. "Hey...wasn't this building supposed to be abandoned?" he asked nervously. "I just saw someone through the window."

"Eh, Probably just a homeless guy." Red said with a chuckle

Sergei shifted towards the back of the elevator. The sight of the odd stranger had set him on edge. He tried not to show it, though.
"Yeah, you're probably right," he said with a nervous chuckle.

Jayce carries an old .38 revolver, used to activate his Stand.
Chase the Ace imbues his user with the speed relative to an object near him. Thus Jayce’s .38.
As with all Blackburns, Jayce is a deep purple.

After a small bit of waiting they finally reached the ground floor, The doors opened and Red sauntered out of the elevator with Daryl close behind

Sergei stepped out of the elevator behind the other two. He glanced back over his shoulder, still a little unnerved that a strange person was wondering around in the building somewhere.
"Let's get going to the bus stop," he said, anxious to get out of there.

Red started thinking before looking at the bounty page, It had grainy photos of what the targets looked like, A black silhouette that looked similar to mothman, A old and sickly-looking coyote, A view of the ocean with a breaching Sperm Whale and the last photo being of a female crow

Sergei glanced over Red's shoulder, noticing the bounty at the bottom of the page. "Woah, that's....a lot of cash," he said, somewhat astonished by the amount.
He glanced over the four photos. "Strange looking characters, huh?" he said.

"Sure." He thought for a bit before folding the paper and walking out a a burned out apartment room

Sergei followed through the desolated room. "Oh man, did the building burn down at some point?" he asked, looking at the wreckage around them. "I thought it was just foreclosed on and abandoned."
He looked up at the ceiling above them, now worried about the building's stability as well as the strange man he'd seen earlier. "Hey, let's hurry and get out of this place," he suggested, not bothering to hide his nervousness anymore.

Red was way ahead of him and crawled out the burned out window, He motioned for Sergei and the others to hurry

Sergei ran to the window and squeezed himself through the opening, struggling to get his broad shoulders through the hole. He landed on the pavement outside and stumbled for a minute, then straightened himself. He dusted himself off, brushing pieces of ash out of his fur.
"Ugh, that room was really charred and grimy. Glad to be out of there," he said.

"Alright, Let's make it down to the bus stop" Red stated before he started to lead them towards the bus stop, Taking a few alleyway shortcuts and ending up at the shabby graffitied bus stop.

Sergei shuffled along behind the lizard, keeping an eye out for anyone else around them. He didn't notice anyone following their group, but still felt somewhat on edge.
When they arrived at the bus stop, Sergei took the cash out of his pocket and thumbed through it. "I think we have enough to get ourselves to Michigan," he said. He looked at the sign next to the stop, wanting to see what time the next bus would arrive.

The bus wasn't due for another 3 hours, considering how late in the night it was

"Damn," Sergei said, sitting down on a bench next to the sign. "We're in for a long wait. The next bus isn't due for a few hours," he announced to the rest of the group.
He put his hands in his pockets and leaned back. "I guess we just have to sit here awhile," he said.

"Might as well show each other what our stands are capable of." Red said as A Horse with No Name slowly materialized behind him

"Oh yeah, I guess now's a good time to show those off," Sergei replied. He stood up from the bench and walked a short distance away from the others. A Real Life materialized behind him, overshadowing him with its great height.
"Why don't you go first, Red?" he asked.

"Tch." The stand made a blindingly fast kick at a parking meter, bending the pole like a paper clip and sending the meter flying at high speeds, Piercing through a couple garbage bags and a metal garbage can "Pretty great huh? It's nice and quick. Can't say how many poor bastards I've turned into human sized PEZ dispensers with that attack" He said with a smirk

Sergei gaped at the high velocity of the kick. It sure was deadly. He imagined that something kicked at that speed could shatter someone's skull easily.
"Wow, I can see how that would be useful," he said with a chuckle. "Alright, my turn. Just stay where you are and don't get any closer."
As he finished his sentence, the horned golem began pulsing with some kind of hot energy, as if being heated over a forge. Then suddenly, gouts of green flame shot out of every individual hole and vent in the massive creature, blanketing a sizeable radius around it.
Sergei looked over at Red, satisfied with how he'd performed. He panted slightly from exertion. "It uh...takes a long while to recharge. But usually nobody's left standing after a direct hit, so it works fine," he said.

From an alleyway nearby, there came a quiet muttering. Just a cascade of “no no no”. From the shadows shuffled a dirty, raggedly dressed raccoon. He milled his paws as he stared at the parking meter now lodged into the dumpster. The raccoon looked particularly distraught at the whole event. He looked around, nodded, and spoke a single word.
“Fix.”
Once, the raccoon’s Stand, materialized in front of his user. A constantly shifting pattern of black and white covered his entire body, while his hands maintained a slight glow of shifting colors. The Stand lashed out, striking the parking meter. It seemed to shimmer, waver, and then vanish. The pavement it had been imbedded in patched itself, and the meter reappeared in its home. The raccoon then sat down, now obviously tired.

"Woah!" Sergei exclaimed, startled by the sudden reappearance of the parking meter. He whipped around in confusion.
Then, he noticed the figure crouching in the shadows nearby. He glanced back at Red, unsure of what had just happened. "Hey, who are you?" he called out towards the alleyway.

Red looked over at the vagrant raccoon and he soon started to think "maybe this guy'll be useful" and with that thought he followed Sergei as they went towards him

Obviously, the vagrant because increasingly nervous as the two approached. He glanced around for an escape route, but simply started to shuffle back into the alleyway. He pulled a phone from his pocket and began making a call. It wasn’t a nine-one-one dial, the number was much longer. A personal number. The vagrant wasn’t very fast, as he only shuffled his feet meekly.

Red continued to approach Ray while trying to make sure this guy wouldn't try to stab them or use his stand, His approach was slow and methodical as he tried to gauge the range he'd be at if this ended up turning into a fight

Ray quickly brought the phone to his ear as his call was answered. He spoke softly and shakily.
“Quick. Strangers.”
He pocketed the phone as the call ended, and continued to watch Red and Sergei over his shoulder.
Somewhere, very quietly, there was the echoing PAF of a gunshot.

Red took only a few more steps before hearing something "hm." he thought "that isn't the usual city noise pollution" after a second or two of thought he turnt towards where he thought he heard the noise

Sergei stopped in his tracks when he heard the gun shot ring out in the distance. He turned his head wildly, looking all around them for an approaching threat.
Seeing nothing, he turned back to the strange figure in the alleyway. "Hey, sir, wait a sec! We just want to talk," he called out, trying to speak in a calm tone. He didn't understand why the raccoon refused to speak with them.

Ray found himself cornered. The alleyway deadened into a brick wall. The raccoon turned with his fists raised defensively. “L-Look, I don’t want any trouble. J-Just lost, i-is all.”
Once materialized behind him, fists raised and ready to defend. Upon closer inspection, the Stand was very frail-looking. Perhaps a metaphor for how frail he found reality. As he found reality frail, so to did reality find him. Once’s eyes were wide and wild, disturbed and insane. A reflection of his user.

Sergei stopped in his tracks when he saw the strange stand appear, holding his hands up in a halting gesture. "Woah woah, there! We don't want any trouble either! We were just curious about that stand power is all," he said nervously. He began backing away from the raccoon slowly. "Easy now, no need to get aggressive," he suggested, the fur on the back of his neck standing up in fear.

Red's face was twisted by the tension of the situation before it slowly shifted to a smirk "Listen. We are willing to offer a cut of money in exchange for you joining our little pow wow" Red stated as he crossed his arms and stopped "I promise it'll be above 500, All you need to do is join us on our little wacky adventure and after that there'll be no strings attached." Red looked at Sergei his eyes shaded over by his hat blocking the single street light that illuminated the alleyway "Be ready" he said under his breath. "I don't know what this guy is going to do but let's hope he doesn't attack us with a bottle or something"

Sergei nodded back nervously. He remained tense and on the balls of his feet, watching the strange raccoon for a reaction. He wasn't going to be caught unawares if the guy went crazy, but he wasn't hoping for a fight.

Red's stand appeared behind him and he pushed up his hat and looked at Ray "That or I'll pacify you and drag you along with us."

The Rabbit made a couple more steps forward

Sergei looked over at Red uncertainly. He wasn't entirely comfortable with that idea. But he supposed he would have to do whatever was needed to stay with the team and collect the bounties.
He looked back at the raccoon. "Hey, let's not get off to a hostile start. Just tell us who you are, alright?" he asked gently. Hopefully things wouldn't come to a violent head.

WHUMP
A solid steel pole, a parking meter specifically, buried itself deep into the building beside Ray, between the disheveled raccoon and Red. Holding the end was a brass-colored machine-humanoid, who stood behind a well-dressed raccoon. He was a touch taller than Ray, but shared characteristics with him. It was apparent they were brothers.
The raccoon, who's paw rested gently on the parking meter, spoke with a cocky grin.
"Jayce Blackburn. I see you've found my brother." He turned to glance at Ray for but an instant, his Stand withdrew the meter from the wall and dropped it, and Jayce again spoke.
"Seeing as how Ray isn't a bloody pulp right now, and you have a Stand, I'm guessing you're all on good terms. That, and there aren't floating lumps of hardened space hanging around." He offered a leather-gloved paw in a friendly jesture.
"Who're you guys?"

Red quickly stepped back once the parking meter embedded itself into the wall which caused his flat cap to fall off his head. Red's attention was now diverted to the guy who did it, After listening to this guy speak the rabbit straightened his back as his stand slowly faded, with an exasperated sigh Red turned his head and looked at Jayce "Bounty Hunters. We're trekking across the U.S to kill some people with the promise of a good sum of money." Red ran one of his paws through his Crimson hair and he slowly kneeled to pick it up "We might need all the help we can get, though." As he stood up and affixed his hat he made a complete turn towards Jayce "My name is Red."

Sergei jumped backwards when the pole embedded itself into the wall nearby. He whirled around in confusion to see the new raccoon, who looked similar to the one he'd just been trying to talk to despite being neater and well put-together.
Still a bit startled by his sudden entrance, he replied to Jayce's question. "I'm Sergei Koslov. Same deal as Red," he said. He offered his paw to Jayce in return, a slight nervous tension infusing the gesture. He didn't like the fact that this raccoon had been able to sneak up on them so well.

Red's outfit was also fairly well put together. A brown bomber jacket with a red heart symbol on the breast combined with blue jeans and high black boots with a Red scarf and his flat cap which had the same Heart symbol close to the brim. He fancied the Racoon's style enough to decide and forge some sort of mutual understanding that could possibly de-escalate this situation
"You have a very nice style, Jayce." Red said as he adjusted his scarf "I must admit I'm a bit jealous" after stating this red silently swallowed as he fell deep into his thoughts.
"I can't trust that this guy isn't any more sane than his brother." Red's head turned a little as he looked back at Ray "I also can't be sure that this guy won't attack me from behind" he silently reached into his pocket and fiddled with a stray quarter which he could launch at Ray with the help of his stand if this situation escalated

Jayce turned his back to Sergei and Red, taking Ray by the shoulders. “Easy, Ray. They’re not gonna harm you. They just got curious; remember what I said? Your buddy’s gonna draw lots of attention from certain people. Now they wanna give us a job. Sound good?”
Ray glanced at Red and Sergei a moment before looking his brother in the face. His wild eyes locked to Jayce’s, and after a moment, the ragged raccoon relaxed and nodded.
Jayce smiled and turned on his heel.
“We’re all set. You guys waiting for a bus or something? ‘Cause I’ve got a car. Around here somewhere, haven’t used it since I learned how to trigger Chase the Ace. Ray also had a truck. Not sure what happened to it.”
“Flew away.” Ray whispered.

Sergei cocked an eyebrow curiously at Ray's whispered remark. He wondered what that meant.
Then he turned to Jayce. "Yeah, we were waiting for the bus, although the next one isn't coming by for a few hours. We're headed to Michigan to find the first target," he explained. "If you're willing to drive us, that'd be way more convenient."

"More people means that we might actually have a chance" Red stated as he scratched his ear " I hope your car is has enough space for all of us" Red silently pulled out the information in their targets "That and I need a place to settle and actually read the fine printing of all of this."

Daryl adjusted his beanie as Red opened the rest of the files

“‘Course it can. Lemme go get it.” Jayce drew his .38 and pointed it skyward. He took a deep breath and said. “Go.” He fires the gun, Chase the Ace snatched the round from the air, and Jayce took off like a shot, vanishing into the distance.
Ray dug a finger in his ear, trying to stop the ringing. “Loud.” He seemed a lot more relaxed than before.

Red looked up and squinted, He's seen weirder but this definitely beat some of the stuff that he HAS seen, Red looked back at Ray and started to wonder what exactly was with him and whether or not he was actually capable of using his Stand's power to the fullest "Oh Well." Red thought "A group of semi- proficient stand users has more chance than two of them." After Red finished that thought he went back to examining the portfolio with careful precision "But these guys.... They're like nothing I've ever seen... They weren't joking when they said they've killied nigh endless amounts of bounty hunters" Red slowly leaned his head back and ground his teeth softly "All I need is money for more treatment and that'll be the end of it. I've already had enough of the crazy stand bullshit and the journey just started"

Sergei looked off in astonishment at the strange sight of Jayce vanishing into the air, following the path of his bullet. The guy certainly knew how to make an exit.
He glanced at Ray's muttering form. "Do you think these guys can actually help us?" he asked Red. "The one over there seems a little....disturbed."

"Well. They haven't been killed us yet but try an be vigilant" Red squinted "I feel like this journey is going to get even harder."

Suddenly a crane stepped out of the darkness, She stuffed her hands in her faded green hoodie and said "I hope you guys are accepting one more person" She said "I'm Shivali Sharma" Her stand appeared behind her, A creature split between Blue and Red, It's head shaped like a crescent moon over a stylised sun. It seemed to be made out of some sort of ceramic or pottery "This is After Midnight" She grabbed a bolt and dropped it into the diamond shaped hole in her Stand's left hand before a red and blue capsule akin to those from a toy crank machine popped out of the stands right hand

Sergei was alarmed by the sudden appearance of yet another stand user. He turned to face the crane, his stiff body posture showing that he was on edge.
"Is there anybody ELSE hiding in this alleyway?!" he said incredulously. All the same, the crane's stand could be useful on their journey. He looked over at Red. "What do you say? Should we take her along too?" he asked.

"Sure." Red stated as he took off his hat and rummaged around the messenger bag he had before pulling out a dark red Tweed skipper hat which had various symbols pinned onto it (most of them alchemical) along with the same mainstay heart symbol of his pinned to the front with a saggitarius symbol going through it, After putting on his hat he smiled and leaned against the wall which was followed by him sorting through the messenger bag again "Any of you guys want some gum?" He asked.
Shivali was simply standing there, She didn't see Jayce fly off so she decided to wait for whatever the group was waiting for, She reached into her pocket and pulled out a small sketch book and just started to silently draw something

Sergei shook his head. "No thanks. Gum usually gets stuck in my teeth," he said. He moved over to the side of the alleyway and leaned back against the graffitied brick wall. He adopted a posture of nonchalance, but kept his eyes on Ray and Shivali, wary of any moves the two might make. He hoped they could be relied upon when the party met their targets in the future.

"Well." Red said as he examined their surroundings "I guess we can clarify our intentions while that guy's getting his car" Red's eyes drifted to Sergei "How about you?"

Sergei looked over in surprise. "You...wanna know why I'm here?" he asked. He stood up straight and shrugged his shoulders. "I need the money. That's all you guys need to know. I'll do my best to get us to the end of this bounty hunt because I want the reward," he declared. He didn't feel all that comfortable with any of the group yet, and decided not to share anymore facts about himself.

"Hmph." Red squinted before sighing "Well, I'm getting money for top surgery and Daryl wants the money to buy a house in Europe" Red looked over to Shivali "How about you, new one?"
Shivali looked up from her sketch pad and scratched her long beak "Travel. I'm a drifter."

Sergei nodded. "Whatever we need it for, we're all here for the bounty. I just want to be sure everybody is on the level. If we're fighting as a team, we split the bounty money evenly as a team. Nobody runs off with more than their fair share," he said.

"As long as none of us die" Shivali said staring at her sketch pad

Sergei grunted uncomfortably, a little unnerved by how casually the crane regarded their deaths. "Yeah, well...assuming that doesn't happen obviously," he said.

"Money on the crazy one" She said as Red scoffed "How can we be sure y-" Shivali looked up calmly and interrupted Red "Because I know my limits. That's the problem with stands. You can't be too sure of yourself" She looked back down "Were going up against some of the most dangerous assassins in the world and we don't even know what their stands can do... We need to do this methodically or it'll be our undoing"
Red's eyebrow twitched as he looked at her with an up turned snout "Damnit!" He thought "She has a point!"
Daryl silently looked at the street before turning his head "We should try playing of each other!" He stood up sharply "It isn't impossible but we have to make sure someone with a stand like Red's isn't going against something with long range..."

A horrid thundering echoed down the street. Before long, a jet-black, custom Ford Ranchero crept around the corner and headed towards the gathering at the alleyway. It stopped with a great whining of brakes. The smoked window rolled down, revealing Jayce.
The cab of this car was massive, nearly twice the size of a standard Ranchero. It sat three across both seats, and the bed was large enough to carry another six, easy. Chromed rollbars lined the sides and cab-end of the bed, handholds for those riding in the bed.
Ray quickly climbed into the bed, standing dead center and holding the front rollbar. He waved the others to get in.

Sergei stepped forward out of the alleyway, grateful that their ride had arrived. "Impressive vehicle you got there," he said, marveling at the truck's accomodating size.
He hopped into the bed and took a seat, grabbing a rollbar for stability. "I don't mind riding out here, someone else can sit in the cab," he said. He was accustomed to cold weather and wind, so he figured it'd be better to leave the sheltered seats to the other members of the group.

Red made his way into the cab as Daryl and Shivali climbed into the back

Red looked over at Jayce "Nice car." He said as he tapped his fingers rhythmically in the dash board as he rummaged through his messenger bag

Jayce craned his neck to glance out the rear window, nodded in satisfaction and took off. The engine roared as the car ripped down the road towards the interstate.

He pulled out the bounty files and sorted through them as he read the small chunks of info about the groups targets

Sergei leaned back against the side of the truck bed, his mind wandering into speculations about the job ahead of them. He looked over at Daryl, seated across from him.
"What do you think our target in Michigan is gonna be like? You figure we have a good chance?" he asked.

Daryl looked at him as he held his beanie to his head and fixed his sunglass "I think we're going for the worst of the best. Pestilence is the weakest from what I've heard but he isn't as uttery **censor** insane as the rest of his gang!" Daryl knocked a can over as he placed his hand on the truck bed which ended up causing it to fly off the bed "The problem is that we don't know what his stand is until we get there so maybe the worst of the best will still kick our asses to hell and back!"

"The worst of the best, huh?" Sergei replied. "Interesting way of putting it. Maybe we can tail him or something, wait until he attacks somebody. Then we can see his stand in action first before we charge in." He scratched his chin in thought.
"Anyway, worst of the bunch or not, they wouldn't be giving us such a nice bounty if he was a pushover. I just hope our group is up to the task," he said with a light shudder. "I don't know what'll happen if we aren't." The sabertooth wrapped his arms around himself, looking away from the other two as he pondered the likelihood of his own survival on this trip.

Daryl watched him do so before looking over at Shivali, who was asleep on the bed of the truck. As they drove down the interstate the sun started to dawn which cast the truck in a pinkish-orange light.
Red sat in the front seat as he had his attention on the case files of their targets before pulling out a list of active bounty hunters in the area. He was questioning how long it was going to take until one of the bounty hunters tried to kill them. He looked to the side before seeing and individual standing on a crate carried by a truck.
The individual was a black gecko wearing a orange sleeveless puffer jacket and black undershirt with black pants, They stood still before they pulled out a clarinet which they started playing. About a minute or two after this happened Red's arm moved sharply as her grunted in suprise. "Wh-!"
In the bed of the truck Shivalis arm also started moving causing her to make an audibly distressed noise as her stand appeared behind her, quickly punching Daryl in the face and sending him reeling back and almost over the edge of the bed

Ray reached out as soon as Daryl lost his balance, Once reaching out and grabbing Daryl’s shirt collar.
Meanwhile, Jayce glanced in the side view and groaned. “Can’t just be a normal drive, eh?” He pointed at the truck. “Hold onto your butts!” He paused a moment before speaking again. “Go!”
Chase the Ace sprang forth, slamming his fist into the truck.
Jayce then feathered the brakes and spun the car around, now driving backwards at the same speed of the truck.
Ray kept everyone in the bed of the Ranchero while Once pulled Daryl back. Ray grit his teeth and clambered onto the hood of the Ranchero.

Sergei was paralyzed with fear and indecision, bewildered by the rapid pace of events. It seemd like some of the group couldn't control their stands, and he'd almost fallen out of the truck when it swerved, only just managing to grab a rollbar in time to stop himself from being pitched out.
His stand could do a lot of destruction if he lost control of it right now, but he had to do something. A Real Life materialized in the truck bed with him, before quickly launching itself off towards the black gecko on the truck beside them. It grabbed hold of the crate's edges and began pulling itself upwards, digging into the wood with wrought-iron hooks that resembled claws.

Red grunted before his stand crashed through the window with a flurry of blows. The geckos stand seemed to directly wrench the control of a users stand out of their hands. Almost like a poorly made puppet A Horse with No Name threw a kick at Once's leg.
Daryls stand appeared behind him and launched in it's burlap tendrils out causing Daryl and his stand to be pulled out the truck bed, These tendrils wrapped around A Real Life and formed a borderline paralyzing wrap around A Real Life's appendages Daryl had managed to grab a hold of the truck bed with his hand being basically stretched between where his stand met his feet and his hands which were clasped on the side of the bed.
"I can't control my stand!" Daryl said as he tried pulling himself up "They can- AGH!" Daryl slipped and one of his hands fell of the bed "They can control our stands!" Daryl yelled loud enough for Ray and Jayce to hear

A Real Life struggled and strained, trying to move its limbs and wrench some control back to no avail. It wobbled precariously, having trouble staying on the crate.
Sergei sighed. There was no other option. Slowly, A Real Life's body began to glow red-hot as it charged up for an all-out attack. "Jayce, move us away from the other truck! Now!" he yelled towards the cab.

The gecko jumped back in suprise before they looked at the bed and Daryl, They wobbled a bit as the crate hit a bump before they jumped down and landed on Daryl's back, Looking up at Sergeis stand to see if it would track them before playing a few notes on their stand and causing Shivalis stand to move forward as she struggled to think of a way to stop the gecko from using her stand to negate Sergei's attack

"Ugh, dammit," Sergei muttered under his breath as the gecko landed in their truck. A Real Life's glow faded somewhat and stayed at a constant level, instead of building as it had earlier. Without the ability to move because of the tendrils holding him, nor use his ability without damaging the rest of the group, A Real Life had just been rendered effectively useless.
Sergei moved back, away from Shivali's out of control stand. He looked over at Daryl. "Come on, isn't there anything you can do?! Get rid of those tendrils!" he begged desperately.

Daryls stand tightened it's grip and effectively cut through parts of A Real Life's chassis, It would garrote through Sergei and his stand if Daryl didn't do anything fast. Suddenly Daryl got an idea and let go of the truck bed which his stand suddenly disappeared and reappeared to catch him.
The Gecko had jumped off his back as he did so and onto the truck bed, looking back at Daryl before looking at Shivali, Who's stand grabbed a rogue Tire Iron and threw it at Sergei so his stand would have to guard

A Real Life instantly appeared in front of Sergei, one solid arm held up defensively to deflect the tire iron. It bounced off with a loud *ping!*, flying out of the truck and onto the road behind them.
Sergei sighed with relief, finally able to move his stand around and get back in the fight. Although he now had to contend with Shivali's stand...which would nullify his attacks. However, an idea came to him. His stand suddenly barreled towards the gecko, attempting to grab him in its arms and leap over the side of the truck.

The gecko panicked and narrowly dodged, Landing on the roof of the car

A Real Life followed him, attempting to balance its unwieldy frame on the cab's roof and failing to find enough purchase. It swiped one of its massive arms at the gecko as it fell back into the truck's bed.

The Gecko crawled off and onto the hood before meeting with Red who grabbed them by the neck in a effort to keep them from using their stand. Red held up the gecko as another individual suddenly grabbed them and tossed them to the side they then pointed at the group and touched her mask covered face
"I WANT TO JOIN YOUR GROUP!" She said in a incredibly loud voice before sticking a finger up and saying "Yes! My stand 「For What It Is Worth」manipulates how loud things I touch can be!" She stood there awkwardly as the truck was surprisingly silent as it rode down the highway.
Red-: "How long have you been hiding in this ca-"
???-: "Since you guys left of course!"
Red-:"Alright and what makes you think we want an incredibly suspicious masked individual working for us when were dealing with a life or death situation targeting some of the most dangerous people in the world?"
???-:"Uh..Hehheh...Money!"
Red-:"..."
And once again the situation descended into silence before the gecko could be seen narrowly hanging on to the car door. They crawled up in a panic and screamed as Red picked them up once again before he put the little gremlin underneath his arm
Red-:"What is y-"
Exclamation-:"Crystal "Exclamation" Hall."
Red sighed before holding the Gecko up as his stand appeared behind him
"I'm going to hold back so I probably won't kill you." He snickered before leaning to the side as his stand let out a flurry of light and quick kicks before it spun and connected a kick with the geckos head. The gecko flew off at a high speed, Skipping across the grass like a stone before disappearing in the distance as the sun finally rose above the hill they were passing.

Red slowly crawled back into the cabin as Exclamation made her way over the cabin and into the Bed as Daryl clawed his way back onto the truck bed.

Red sighed and checked the gloves compartment of the car, rummaging through the contents

Sergei sat back down in the truck bed, unsure about their new arrival. At least she'd gotten rid of that annoying gecko, but she sure was an oddball.
He looked across the vehicle at Exclamation. "So, uh, where exactly have you been hiding this whole time?" he asked awkwardly.

"Oh, That's a secret!" She laughed "But it was an interesting experience nonetheless. Considering that you've already gotten me and Hamelin on your tracks you guys seem to be prime pickings for a group that can finally get all the prize money and snuff out all of the horsemen but I should warn you that all the rivalling bounty hunters are going to get even harder as out journey carries on"

Sergei groaned. "We've got enough to contend with already, trying to take these infamous bounties down. Now we've got to deal with every money-grubbing hunter from here to Michigan?" he said miserably. "This trip is shaping up to be our undoing."
He looked out of the car and down the road behind them, as if hoping to see whoever was following them. The dark road was empty, however. Sergei could feel paranoia setting in.

"I'm raw pickings compared to the REAL big boys hehe" She giggled and shrugged "This is going to be a fun journey with all that 'plausible death lurks behind every possible corner' shit. At least you guys have enough knowledge on your stands to actually use them in a real fight, right?" She asked as her blank white mask looked up at them "Right?"
Daryl slowly pushed himself up and rolled onto his back, Why was he the guy that comparatively got the shit kicked out of him? Looking down at his hands he saw burn marks that had came from his stand sharing the damage that they had took when they tried to subdue Sergei
"I sure hope this is going to be worth it." He stated as he sat up and looked behind the car "Because I feel like my luck is going to get even worse"
Shivali sat silently before looking into the small bag she had grabbing a few of the containment balls, crushing them and spawning 5 water bottles and a small first aid kit in her hands. She tossed on of them towards Sergei before handing the rest to everyone else in the bed and leaning forward to help patch up Daryl's hands

A few miles later, Jayce leaned his head out the window. The quiet chittering coming from his engine hadn’t worried him until the acrid black smoke poured from the venting on either side of the engine block.
“Wuh-oh. Gonna have to stop, everyone. Looks like she’s had it for the night.”
He guided the metal beast to the shoulder of the road just as the engine gave up. Both raccoons hopped out of the vehicle and meandered to the front. They shared a worried look before the hood popped open.
Rolling clouds of inky black smoke billowed out, temporarily blinding Ray and Jayce. As it cleared, Jayce groaned and Ray started nervously wringing his paws. “Not good.”
“No, Ray. It ain’t good.”
The engine block, during the cross-car chaos, had cracked beneath the fighting. A piston had neatly lodged itself into the hood, and a belt had broken and torn the supercharger right off.

Red had made his way to the front with them and had witnessed the condition under the hood "Damnit!" He said before crossing his arms and sighing "We're sitting ducks. I don't think there's a town nearby either...Hrghhhhh..." He brimmed his hat and breathed through his nose "Before opening one of his eyes and looking at a couple of railroad tracks "Hey Hey Hey!" Red said as his interest piqued "If the car is a goner we can hitch a train to Detroit either that or I can check up with Shivali to see if she has camping gear for us to use"
Shivali had managed to patch up Daryl's hand just as the car had stopped both of them got out and had sat at the side of the road close to the car, Exclamation had brought her lanky body out of the car too and was wiggling her fingers as she pilfered some useless items from the bed
Shivali-:Although I do have camping gear I don't think it'd be enough for all of us to sleep comfortably.
Daryl-: Eh, I'm not a stranger to roughing it in situations like this....
Shivali grabbed a couple more balls and smacked them against the ground which spawned neatly packed camping gear

Sergei clambered out of the truck and joined the rest of them, looking at the engine's state dismally. Then, his face lit up with an idea. "Hey wait, isn't Ray's stand able to fix things? Could he maybe repair this for us?" he asked hopefully.
They'd seen the raccoon fix splintered metal before, anyway. The damage here was a bit more complicated, but maybe it was still doable, he wondered.

“Ray’s Stand,” Jayce started, placing his paws over Ray’s ears. “Is a temperamental beast. It-ep, he. He only listens to Ray out of pity. ‘Sides, Ray hasn’t seen the engine in a while. Y’see, Once pulls up reality as Ray sees it. In terms of Stands, it’s the single most powerful and dangerous thing I’ve seen. Poor Ray can’t use the Stand to its fullest. Perhaps that’s a good thing, the fates decided.” He removed his paws from Ray’s ears and looked his brother in the eye.
“Ray? Y’think you can fix the car?”
Ray began rapping his knuckles together as he inspected the engine. He peered deep at the twisted metal, but didn’t say anything.
Jayce took a cautious step back, motioning the others to do the same. “He’s thinking about it, give him room.”

Red watched with the others and stuffed his right hand in his pocket. He couldn't help but wonder what Once could do if it wasn't tied to somebody like Ray, He's met his fair share of terrifyingly powerful stands held back by their user but nothing came close to the applications Once had, It could possibly rival AHWNN in pure destructive power yet Red had only seen it used to return items to their original state so he couldn't even gauge what Ray could do with it at it's full potential.

Sergei stepped back and gave Ray some room as Jayce had requested. He thought about what Jayce had said, how Once could have a seemingly infinite number of applications if his user was a little more...competent. Being able to return something to a previous state, that went far beyond just fixing damaged items. Once could be an infinitely powerful medic, able to heal wounds perfectly and render his allies practically invincible. Or he could likely use his powers almost as a form of time travel, perhaps rendering an entire field of battle into a previous state, forcing his enemies back to the positions they'd occupied before. It was an incredible ability.
A shame they wouldn't be able to fully use it. He looked over at Ray, watching as the raccoon muttered to himself and stared at the broken engine. He wondered how Ray would even fend for himself if he didn't have Jayce protecting him. And he wondered if Ray would ever be able to truly control his stand....
Not that Sergei could complain much. As a stand user new to combat, his own abilities weren't exactly stellar. "Well? Do you think he's gonna be able to help us out?" he asked Jayce, anxious to be on the road again. They were too vulnerable right now, open to any bounty hunter that came calling.

Ray reached out to the wrecked engine, and Once reached with him.
“Fix.”
The Stand gripped both ends of the engine and forced the thing back into a state of normalcy. Light bloomed from the engine as parts began righting themselves. Finally, Once drew the rogue piston from its new home and returned it to the engine.
Satisfied, Ray simply shuffled towards the car door, aiming to pop inside.
It only lasted a moment.
The engine unleashed a horrible groan as it quickly fell apart. The piston that once rested in the engine shot out like a missile, as the entire assembly split asunder.
Jayce sighed and brought an unlit cigarette to his lips. “That’s that, then. Ray, bud.” Jayce stopped his brother with a gentle paw on the shoulder. “Car’s done. We’re walking, methinks.”
Lighting the cigarette, Jayce started down the road with Ray in tow, the glow of the cigarette like an amber beacon.

Red watched with a surprised look before he slowly shifted to an unamused expression as the engine ended up even worse off then before, Red motioned for the group to follow as he brimmed his hat with his left hand "Let's get moving before we get attacked by the next hunter" and with that the entire group followed Jayce and Ray down the road to Michigan as morning slowly shifted to noon

Sergei felt a deep weariness welling up inside him. His paws were sore, and his eyelids drooped. Walking and walking and walking for the better part of the day, with no breaks, was taking its toll. But they couldn't stop or slow down, not without risking another fearsome hunter catching up to them.
Despite himself, he felt a growing resentment toward Ray. He knew it was unreasonable to expect so much from so unstable a person, but at the same time he couldn't help but feel frustrated by the way things had turned out. If only Ray were able to use his own abilities to their potential, they'd still have their vehicle. They'd be not only less tired and weary, but safer from attacks. He felt himself constantly looking over his shoulder for the next assault, now. It wasn't until they lost the truck that he realized how much safer it had made him feel.
Looking up at the sky, he saw that it was about noon. He called up the line in front of him, "Hey, how far are we from the next town? Anyone got a map?" At this point Sergei would be fine with any little podunk roadside village they could find. Even some truckstop would be better than nothing. He just wanted somewhere more protected where they could maybe rest for a few hours.

Jayce shook his head, shaking the ash from his cigarette. "Well...if memory serves, we're about three hours outta town. Now, that's with my leadfoot to consider, so I'm thinkin' nigh on four-hundred miles outta town. Next closest city's another two hours away."
Ray stopped dead in his tracks. "Feet hurt. Tired." Jayce exhaled deeply, smoke billowing from his nose. "Ray's right. We were in a pretty nasty fight and a pretty long car ride. Let's set up camp and rest. I'll take first watch, Ray can take second."

"Set up camp? Right here next to the road?" Sergei asked, nervously. This seemed like it would leave them far too exposed for his liking.
"If we're gonna camp for a while and rest, we should get ourselves off the road first. Let's head into the woods a little ways," he suggested.

"Fine." Red said as he made his way off and into the back woods area, rustling through the brush before finding a relatively nice cleared patch of ground and motioning for Shivali to toss him the camping gear she has summoned

Sergei followed Red into the trees and joined him in the clearing. He addressed the rest of the group. "I'll be happy to take the watch after Ray. I'm too on edge to get much sleep anyway, I just want to sit down and rest my feet," he said.
When Shivali tossed over the camping gear, he got to work busily assembling the tents and distributing bedrolls. Throwing himself into the camp's set up was just another way to distract himself from how vulnerable it felt to be travelling on foot.

Red was also working on setting up the camp site that'd end up being their first rest stop on this long journey. He hoped that the rest of the day would go smoothly enough for them to get a day of rest and a night of shut-eye and after an hour or two of setting up the tents and some extra widgets that Shivali had spawned he looked up at the sky to gauge the time.
He managed to figure that the sun was at a 45 degree angle relative to the group and said
"It's about... 3:00 pm, Friends. Let's see if we can gather fire wood and get some rest because I'm sure we'll need it" After this short interjection Red slowly took off his jacket and turtleneck which left him in his tank top and binder, He began to take off his hat and examine some of the damage it took due to the glass and such from the fight with the bounty hunter.
Daryl, Meanwhile, Had wandered off into the woods to collect all the fire wood as Shivali sat on a log whilst conversation with Exclamation which could be over heard as a conversation about the group and their stands and than a whispered debate over who was the strongest stand-wise and could be entrusted as the "leader" of sorts. They were debating on whether Red or Jayce were fit for leading such a ragtag group of people but agreed on the fact that they both had a familiarity with their stands that made them exceptionally dangerous

Sergei decided to follow Daryl into the forest to help with wood collection, figuring he ought to make himself useful and help speed things along. He also felt some reassurance being next to the giant bull. He realized that, in reality, Red was probably the better combatant. Yet Daryl's hulking figure still made him feel a little safer from attack.
He was also far from scrawny himself, with a thick chest and well-muscled, broad shoulders. Lifting heavy objects was a talent that nature left him well equipped for. He realized with a slight pang of sadness that he was probably more useful when it came to this kind of mundane labor than when it came to actual combat, where he was still uncertain and sluggish...
But, he let the moment of self-doubt pass. "Hey, wait up!" he called to Daryl, jogging to catch up to him and matching his pace. "I'll help with the firewood. Sooner we get a collection of it, the sooner we can all get some rest."

Daryl looked back and gave a kind smile "Thanks for offering, Might help to get a bit more than we need too just in case we need to snuff it for whatever reason" Daryl turned forward once more and continued down the path collecting the odd branch here and there and adding it to growing bundle on his shoulder

Sergei followed and likewise began to gather dry branches that looked good for constructing a fire. He propped his collection onto his shoulder as well, managing to get a pretty good amount all at once by using its' broad surface area. He also picked up some smaller sticks and pieces of dry grass, to use as kindling.
"Hey Daryl...what do you think about our group so far? You think everyone travelling with us can be trusted to hold up their end of the bargain?" he asked. "I don't mean to sound paranoid or anything. It's just...I've been thinking. We let anyone who wants to come along join us without knowing anything about them. Who's to say some of the people we picked up along the way aren't working with our bounties?" He looked down at the ground, his ears flattening against his skull as he contemplated the awful idea. "If someone turns on us at the last minute, we could be easy pickings. I know if I was being hunted by a bunch of ruthless mercenaries, I'd wanna hire my own team to counter-act them. It's the smart thing to do," he insisted.
He looked up, facing Daryl directly again. "What do you think? Am I just talking nonsense here?" he asked, a desperate tone to his voice, as if he were hoping to be proven wrong somehow.

"Other than Red and Shivali I don't know who we can put 100 of our trust in." Daryl said bluntly "I feel as if a nice rest over a fire and under the stars could help us shed our Inhibitions of one another... Besides if they REALLY wanted to stop us as much as they do they'll probably kill us in our sleep!" Daryl chuckled before saying "But between you and me we need to keep our eyes on Ray and the Masked one. Neither of 'em seem right in the head... Although I think the masked one is probably just a ditz... But with Ray's untapped power we just gotta hope Jayce can keep him in check and, God forbid, hope the guy doesn't go full coocoo if Jayce bites it." Daryl adjusted the bundle and sighed "Red, Shivali and Jayce are probably good though. Definitely Red since I've known him since before he was 'Elijah', Jayce seems a like a bit of a mendacious Dandy but moreso in the "Guy who stole his nice suit and sold his mother for poker chips " than a "Killing a whole group of people" kinda way" he paused and smiled "Shivali is good though. She reminds me of my fiance in a way. She's very promising but needs a lot more work when it comes to other people."

Sergei mulled over everything Daryl had said. He was a lot more insightful about others than expected. It seemed like he'd spent a lot of time thinking this stuff over himself.
"Yeah, I agree about Red, Shivali, and Jayce being pretty dependable. As for Ray, he's clearly unstable, but I wouldn't expect any treachery from him," he replied. "I don't know about that masked one...Exclamation was her name? She seems a little disjointed and strange. And it kinda unnerves me that she was able to hide in our truck without us noticing anything..." he trailed off. He wore a thoughtful expression on his face as he continued picking up a few more sturdy branches and stacked them on his bundle.
"Well, thanks for talking with me about it, anyway. I feel kinda out of place in this team," he admitted. "Shall we take the wood back to camp? I think we've got more than enough at this point."

"Sure." Daryl said as he carried the wood he collected back down the trail and towards the camp eventually reaching it and placing the wood in the middle of the tent circle before high fiving Red and sitting down on an uprooted log
Red-: Nice job, guys! That's more than enough for the night!
Daryl-: I had some help. Sergei over there was kind enough to offer a hand.
Red-: Damn! Gotta say I feel like this level of teamwork is really going to help!
Daryl-: Yup.
*Red sighed happily and threw his Jacket in a tent that He, Daryl and Sergei were going to occupy for the night. He had managed to figure out who went into which with Ray and Jayce sharing a tent and Shivali and Exclamation also sharing a tent.*
Red-: It's kinda nice to calm down and enjoy the weather, huh, Sergei? *Red said as he mulled around the back of their tent to check if it was placed correctly

Sergei was seated just outside the tent's entrance on the fallen log, next to Daryl. "Yeah, it's good to finally be off my feet for a while. We're lucky the weather's been mild this whole trip; no storms to contend with while we're out hoofing it," he replied.
He smiled and felt himself relaxing, leaning back a little and propping his feet up on a smooth rock in front of him. It was nice to have some group momentum going. He felt less nervous about the possibility of attack already. "Maybe I'll be able to get some sleep in, after all," he said with a wide yawn that displayed his blade-like saber teeth. He was even more tired than he'd realized before, and felt his eyelids drooping heavily.

Suddenly a van came rumbling down the path at a quick pace before parking itself at the road that lead out of their camp. The fairly spiffy van had the words SPEED WAGON superimposed above the image of the wagon wheel, The van was left running as one of the drivers stepped out and coughed as she adjusted her hat that shared the same symbol as the van "Hello? Are you people the ones pursuing the bounty?" She said as she jogged foward

Sergei stood up abruptly, alarmed by the van's sudden appearance. Could this be a rival group out to take them down?
"Who's asking?" he inquired suspiciously. His drowsiness had evaporated, replaced by an acute sense of alarm and wariness.

"We're part of the Speedwagon foundation. We're here to help give you more info on the bounties and give you items, clothes and various other items to help make your Journey safer." She stated as a Flamingo stepped out of the back of the van wearing a pair of sunglasses glasses and a modified green uniform bearing the Speedwagon foundation symbol
"Hello. My name is Noriaki Kakyoin." He stated as he took his sunglasses off and shook Reds hand "I'm the guy who's been scouting your targets... I've gathered about as much information as I can but couldn't do much more considering the circumstances."
Red looked amazed at the mention of his name "THE Kakyoin?" The flamingo raised and eyebrow
Kakyoin-: Yes?
Red-: The Stardust Crusaders escapades in Egypt are legendary among bounty hunters! You single handedly toppled all of the Tarot users in a matter of weeks and managed to actually make it a viable job!
Kakyoin-: Well. It's nice knowing our actions aren't confined to what's left of our group... But that's besides the point. I haven't gotten as much info as I'm sure your group would like but it should suffice for the first few you are supposed to take down.

Sergei had no idea what Red was talking about, being new to the bounty hunting business. He decided to stay silent and just nod along with the conversation. At least it seemed like these guys were who they said they were, and not a rival group trying to gain their trust in order to take them out.
"It'll be good to get some info on our targets, for sure. Right now though, what we need more than anything is a replacement vehicle. Can you help us out with that at all?" he asked the flamingo. "We got attacked on the road, and the truck we were using is wrecked."

Kakyoin-: Although I don't have anything right now I can ask the foundation to return a couple hours from now and bring a suitable car.
He exchanged a new portfolio with Red and put his sunglasses back on before walking back towards the van
Kakyoin-: That portfolio has what you need and your stuff has been dropped off! They'll be back with a new vehicle in a few hours so look out for that. The foundation will catch up with you guys after you get through the first two bounties with more info and supplies! *He stepped into the back of the van and waved* best of luck! *He slammed the van door as the van drove off into the wilderness and towards the intersection. Red slowly placed the portfolio under his arm and opened one of the cases which held a couple servings worth of uncooked pasta along with clothes better suited for the northern temperatures and a few more first aid kits*

"Well, that was helpful," Sergei said, a bit dumbfounded. "I didn't realize we were going to get so much support on the trip. The contract I signed made it sound more like we were on our own once we got going."
He walked over to the cases of supplies that had been dropped in the middle of their camp, and began rifling through them. "Ah, this is good stuff! No need to go hunting for forest game in order to eat a real meal." He let out a relieved sigh. "It's gonna be a lot easier to keep going if we get supply drops like this. And, no more on-foot travel once they come back with a replacement car!"
The whole deal seemed almost too good to be true. This organization must be really eager to see their bounties wiped out.

Red sighed and rubbed his neck before looking up at the sky and seeing the the sun was inching closer to dusk. He silently made his way back to the middle of the camp before placing some of the fire wood in a good spot along with some of the kindling, He affixed his jacket and hat which he wore both loosely

"Hey, there are some pieces of cookware in here with the food. We could use this for the pasta," Sergei said, drawing a copper pot out of one of the cases. "I'll go see if I can find some stream water to fill it with. There's a filter in here too; once we pass some water through that and boil it on the fire, it'll be safe for cooking."
He strolled off into the woods away from camp, the pot swinging at his side. He felt decidedly more cheerful now that they had some decent supplies and a stock of food with them.

Red watched as he strolled off before he sorted through the cases and put on a new turtleneck and a white windbreaker along with a new Red cap which had the same symbols as his old skipper

Sergei returned with a pot full of water that he had filtered and strained to remove any pieces of dirt or plant matter or other undesirables. He offered the pot to Red.
"When you get the fire started, boil this over it. Then we can use it to cook," he said.

Red nodded and placed it to the side as dusk arrived and painted the forest with pink sunlight as the sun started to disappear in the horizon, He grabbed a match and struck it a couple times before tossing it into the pile of sticks which lit up nicely with all the dry leaves and sticks. He placed the pot into the tripod that was built over the fire by Daryl and sighed before sitting on a log

As the camp descended into night Red couldn't help but feel as if someone was watching them, He wouldn't be surprised if they actually didn't get a good night's sleep with this scopaesthesia vibe permeating through him

As darkness descended on the woods, Sergei once again began to feel his eyelids drooping heavily. He stretched his arms behind his head, and let out a yawn. "Well, if Ray and Jayce are taking first watch, I guess I'll go ahead and get some sleep," he declared. He stood up from the log and walked away from the fire, crawling into the tent he was to share with Daryl and Red.
After the visit from the Speedwagon people, he felt a lot more secure and able to relax. It seemed like their group had a real plan and some support behind it. He quickly sank into a deep sleep on one of the bedrolls.

Jayce took a seat on the nearest smooth rock, with Ray a stone’s throw away.
Jayce stared into the fire, slipping into a sort of sensitive trance.
After a while, Jayce’s phone rang. It was quiet, but the vibration is what got the raccoon’s attention. Jayce flipped his phone open and spoke.
“Hello?”

“Yeah, he’s here. Asleep.”
...
“I told ya I would. I’m fast, remember. Anyway. We’re headed for Michigan.”
...
“Yep. Good pay, too. Got a group of guys, too.”
...
“Alright, I’ll try. See ya.”
Jayce closed the phone and pocketed it, returning his attention to the fire.

Sergei slowly awakened from his sleep, unsure of exactly what had roused him. Perhaps there'd been some noise off in the woods that had startled his subconscious? In any case, he looked out of the tent and noticed the fire burning lower, the darkness of the night now fully descended, and realized he'd probably slept for several hours. It was about time to relieve Ray and Jayce from their watch.
He crawled out of the tent and walked over to Jayce, giving him a tap on the shoulder. "Hey, I can take over the next shift. You guys should go get some rest," he said, his voice low and hushed. He wasn't sure why he was speaking in a near whisper, but for some reason it felt wrong to speak too loudly in the oppressive darkness of the night. "You've been keeping the watch long enough now," he added.

Red had been awake and looking into the dark and slightly foggy forest, Something didn't seem right as he peeked his head out the tent door and stared at the twisted shadows of trees and bushes masked by a thickening fog...
The smell of the fog was similar to dried sweat and seemed to only be concentrated where the camp was, Thin layers of condensation started forming and the fog started to get harder to see through by the minute as the shapes of the trees seemed to warp and shift as the fog wrapped around them before Red got stabbed in the cheek silently by a drill fingered hand before it opened a hole that encompassed his mouth. Red panicked and felt his face. He was breathing normally but the cleanly-cut hole seemed to be preventing him from speaking.

Sergei looked around at the fog as he took a seat on a log by the fire. He hadn't noticed what had happened to Red, who was behind him. "Huh, that's a lot of fog all of a sudden..." he remarked as he began settling himself. "No accounting for bad weather, I guess. It'll be hard to keep watch for anything in this soup."

Red squinted at him before the stand poked a hole through his abdomen and made an almost comically clean hole through his chest, Red started to flail around in distress before he summoned his stand and punched through what he thought was the stand user before realizing that he merely punched an illusion made of the surrounding fog and thinking to himself "Damnit! There's two of them!" Red scanned the tree line before running towards Sergei and tackling him

Jayce shrugged and shook Ray awake. “Thanks for the relief I-“ Jayce realized that Sergei had vanished into the fog, unaware that Red had tackled him. Jayce drew his gun as Ray stood up. The two raccoons glanced at each other and knew what the other thought.
The work of an enemy Stand.

The drill fingered stand looked suddenly before it recoiled and fell back into the fog. Possibly returning to the user. Meanwhile the fog materialized an illusion of Red standing calmly next to a dying fire

"Oof!" Sergei let out a surprised puff of air as he was tackled to the ground. "What the hell?! What's going on?!" he shouted as he rolled over, sliding Red off his back and spitting out dirt that had been shoved into his mouth by the impact.
He saw the two raccoons standing up and alert, silhouetted by the fire's glow but now almost impossible to make out in the unnaturally dense fog. He was about to call out to them when he saw the illusory version of Red standing next to the glowing embers of the fire. He glanced wildly between the injured Red on the ground next to him, and the seemingly calm one standing a few feet away. "Oh no, don't tell me," he groaned, now sure that some enemy stand must be at work.
He pulled himself to his feet and tried to help Red stand up as well as A Real Life materialized behind him. He faced the illusory version of Red and his stand charged forward, aiming a swipe of its long, metallic claws at the fake rabbit. He knew it wasn't real, but it wouldn't do to have two Reds running around, confusing everyone.

Suddenly a stand with drill shaped fingers, Almost perfectly blending in with the fog due to it's translucent form, Crawled out of a black spot placed on the ground and stuck A Real Life in the knee with it's fingers causing a large hole to appear in it's knee which translated this strange phenomenon to Sergei's own knee which was replaced by a rock that the stand had been holding.
It began to crawl further out with a chilling laugh, the user seemed to be speaking through his stand.
"kehehehehe... This is already so easy..." It said as it looked up at him before it grabbed Red's leg and started to drag him into the hole "It's all so easy!" upon closer examination of Red his wounds had also been replaced by things that the stand seemingly had on them, The stand seemed to be able to create a hole and replace it with whatever they had in their off hand

Sergei wobbled and lurched forward, clutching the knee that had been replaced with a stone. A Real Life also lurched forward, unbalanced by its inability to put weight on the injured knee. Sergei's mind raced with panic as he saw Red being dragged away towards some hole in the ground.
"Gah! This stand....no time to worry about that!" he growled, and A Real Life surged forward, now with an uneven gait, reaching out to grab Red and stop his journey towards the hole. Simultaneously, the golem tried to strike the other stand as it got close, using its momentum to throw a solid punch.

The hole-creature took the blow and a yell of pain could be heard in the distance before the stand wrenched Red out of Sergeis grasp and halfway into the hole before Red's stand appeared and stomped down on the enemy stand, causing it to fall down the hole as ANOTHER yell of pain could be heard. Red's eyes were ablaze with anger as his stand grabbed the enemy's leg and pulled it up a bit until the hole suddenly closed which Red very swiftly pulled his arm out of, narrowly avoiding completely losing his arm.
Red grunted as his stand appeared behind him with it's bronze face twisted into an angry expression not unlike some Greek theatre mask, Slowly Red brought himself up as he looked into the treeline.

Sergei was panting with exertion, glad that his desperate attack had managed to help stop Red from being pulled down that hole....who knew if he would be alive if that had failed?
He leaned on a nearby tree to stay upright, struggling to keep his balance with one knee replaced by some rock. His stand was similarly struggling, hunched in a semi-crouched posture to keep itself from falling over.
"You alright? I saw it put some serious holes in you," he asked Red.

Red nodded and waved his hand over his mouth, which was replaced by a large rubber duck. He pointed and scanned a finger over the treeline before punching his hand and squeaking the duck
"HIT HIM AND WE WILL HEAR IT"
Red's stand stood on guard as the fog started sending in illusions of the enemy stand, Red tried to see where the wind was taking the fog to gauge where the other user was combined with regularly kicking through the illusions

Jayce’s ear twitched. He heard the scream. Lifting his pistol skyward, Jayce called to Chase the Ace.
“Go.”
The pistol fired, and the purple raccoon took off, pulling clouds of fog with him towards the trees.
Ray, however, had a different idea. He knelt back down and gave a small stone to Once. He looked around at his compatriots and weighed his options.
His plan had a good shot at killing all of them, if not the world. But, it might even the playing field.
Once took the stone, and Ray whispered a single word.
“Denser.”
The stone, though it changed in size very little, began to get heavier and heavier.
If left to continue, Once would cause the tiny stone to collapse in on itself. It would transform into a small black hole, and it would devour the fog and possibly the world.

Red turnt towards Ray as he eyes widened
"I swear if this kills all of us..." With this thought he considered two ways this would work. He could stop Ray from potentially killing everything currently in existence or potentially let him continue with it in the chance that it'd completely disable one of the users for a minute or two which would leave a very valuable opening for the group "Would Jayce care if I knocked him out of the park... Is it worth it?" His eye twitched before he looked forward and continued kicking through clones

Sergei sent A Real Life on an unsteady rampage through the illusions, trying to dispel as many of them as possible by clawing and punching at whatever it could reach. He couldn't tell the real thing from the fakes, and he didn't exactly have the precision control he needed for that anyway, so he figured this all-over-the-place approach might just work. He listened for the scream of pain that would mean he had hit something real.
Somewhere in the fog, he heard the sharp report of Jayce's pistol ring out, then watched as thick streams of fog followed his movement. Good, that meant the raccoon was still up and fighting. Glancing behind him back towards the fire, Sergei saw Ray fiddling around with....a stone? He didn't know what the other raccoon was doing, but at least he was still up and kicking.
Doing a mental inventory of the team, Sergei realized that three of their number were still unaccounted for: Daryl, Shivali, and that strange masked fur. They might have been stumbling around somewhere, unseen in the fog, but he started worrying that one or more of them had suffered the fate that Red was almost a victim to, being dragged down into a hole in the ground. He thought he might call out to them, but then realized that might not be smart. Their group and the enemy stand user were both listening for each other, trying to gauge the other one's position.
He settled for doubling down on A Real Life's wild attacks. The metal golem's iron claws scored deep marks in several trees as it lashed out in rage at the illusory dopplegangers.

Luckily, Daryl was still managing to sleep through the Chaos however Shivali and Exclamation were injured to about the same level as Red and we're actively combing through the trees to find the fog-maker.
Red was rapidly cutting through illusions before he nearly tripped over a hole, He breathed heavily before deciding to risk it and see if these holes actually lead somewhere jumping in Red found himself speeding through a thin tube before landing in front of the user of the hole-creature. Red's stand appeared behind him before the user slashed Red across the face which managed to catch Red off guard and sent them tumbling into a small stream.

"Red!" Sergei cried out in alarm as the rabbit disappeared into one of the holes in the ground. It happened so fast he wasn't sure whether the other fur had jumped in or been pulled down against his will. He jumped over to the edge of the hole and looked down, trying to see where it went. "Red, are you there?!" he called, a bit of panic edging his voice. Had he just watched one of his allies be killed?!

Red was busy with being drowned by the enemy stand user, considering how his stand was connected to him it could only mimic his struggles. Red could feel his panic give way to anger as his lungs burnt and he slowly but surely started to get his stand back into order. He could feel his body struggle to keep his breath in but started to gradually take in water as the pressure burst through his throat and he lost composure which sent his stand back into a writhing motion as it mimicked Reds arm rising to grab the enemy's face
"D-Damn it...." Red thought as his hand twitched "I can't believe I'm going out like this.... Before we even.... I can't move... But.... But I can't give up now... I..."
Red's eyes were completely white as his mind suddenly went to new thoughts
"Looks like I'm going to be the first one... I didn't even get to have the damn surgeries... At least I'll die as myself....and away from my father...." He resigned "Hopefully...the foundation can swing by Alaska and bury me... Wait... No, No, No, NO!" Red's hand suddenly clenched as he managed to stamp his goal back into his mind before he slowly pushed against the person with the support of his stand "I need to live long enough to find someplace better ATLEAST!" Red ripped out of the water and threw the person a few feet back as the water and cold air stung at his new facial wound, Red could be heard vigorously coughing as he slowly crawled up the bank

Sergei shifted back and forth from foot to foot, wracked with fear and indecision. Red wasn't coming back up! But who knew what lay down that hole? Was it just instantaneous death? He had no idea, and felt himself breaking into a cold sweat as he stared down the dark passageway.
But he couldn't just leave the rabbit to his fate. "Ugh....here goes nothing!" he yelped as he jumped over the lip of the hole and plunged down some kind of tube, finding himself landing right behind the strange stand user. He saw Red floundering nearby in some kind of stream, spitting out water and thrashing as he was pinned down by the enemy stand. Feeling a surge of anger thrill through him, Sergei materialized A Real Life right beside him, and sent the massive golem hurtling into the creature that was drowning Red.

The stand and it's flew back and into a tree as Red crawled further up the shore, He slowly tried to stand up before looking back at the enemy user. Their injuries caused by him had faded as the user had a temporary lapse in conciousness, He was a older opossum wearing raggedy clothes and a hood and sporting a large unkempt beard.
Red silently stood up on weak legs as he held his facial wound "Not... My ticket isn't due yet... Asshole..." He said through sparse breaths as he slowly stumbled towards the enemy, Which was shuffling back with his newly regained conciousness.

Sergei stood firmly despite his transformed knee, a triumphant grin on his face. Yes! It was incredibly satisfying to get in a direct hit, and it looked like he'd gotten there just in time for Red.
He didn't waste a moment gloating over it though, and A Real Life began to glow red-hot as it heated itself, charging its special attack. Best to destroy this hole-creating opossum here and now, before he sucked down any of their other allies. His stand charged forward, attempting to grapple the enemy.
"Red, if you can, help me hold him still!" he called over to the soaked rabbit.

Suddenly and without much fanfare, a well-sharpened tree limb suddenly sprouted from the old possum’s chest.
“Got ya.”
Jayce panted, leaning on the spear. He looked exhausted, like he had just run a marathon or two.

Sergei started with surprise, and A Real Life's glow began to dim and fade away. Sergei let out a bewildered chuckle. It looked like his help was not needed after all.
"Nice shot," he said with a congratulatory smile. "Where did you come from? Down one of the holes like me?" he asked, a little surprised that he hadn't noticed Jayce's entrance.

Jayce took a knee, trying to catch his breath.
"N-No...ran off. Saw th...him when you did. Y-Your Stand...tipped me off when I went too far."
He smiled up at Sergei.
"Figured...you needed a paw." Looking around, Jayce suddenly got a distressed look across his face. "R-Ray..."

Red looked behind them and thought "I forgot about the stone!" He said before moving forward through the treeline at a quick pace "If he hasn't been killed by now he might just kill us all..." He muttered as he weaved through the trees

"Stone? What are you guys talking about?" Sergei asked, now thoroughly confused. He'd seen Ray fiddling around with a rock earlier...but why was that important?
"Hey wait up!" he called, trying to follow after Red, but being incredibly outpaced by the rabbit.

Jayce waved as they left, standing slowly. “I’ll...be right with ya.”
Ray, at this point, was kneeling in a pretty sizable indent in the earth. He was sweating profusely, his ragged hair half-matted to his head.

Sergei glanced behind him, not sure exactly why Jayce seemed so incapacitated. But he was still worried about why Red had run off so suddenly, and continued racing through the trees back towards their camp.
He came out into the clearing with their tents and saw Red and Ray ahead of him, the raccoon still holding the same rock from earlier. "What's going on? What's-*pant*-with all the hurry?" he demanded, breathing heavily from trying to sprint after the rabbit.

Red held his injured eye and said "He's trying to make the stone dense enough to collapse into a black hole so we can get rid of the fog... Damnit I need to stop him but all of my strength was wasted on trying... Not to die." He stated as he fell to one of his knees "He might end up completely destroying the Earth...." Red collapsed with a thud due to his tapped energy

Sergei stood, openmouthed with horror. A black hole?? What the hell was he thinking?!
The sabertooth stumbled forward, still hobbled by his transformed knee, and tried to grab Ray by the shoulder. "Stop! Whatever it is your doing, don't risk making a black hole! Are you crazy?!" he yelled out. Getting rid of the fog wasn't worth risking the existence of the entire planet!

Red laid face down on the ground as Exclamation and Shivali stumbled through the brush and into the clearing

"Guys, help!" Sergei turned to them, a panicked look on his face. "Ray's trying to create a black hole!" he called frantically.

Shivali rushed forward as her stand prepped for a swipe at the rock as Red's stand readied itself when he rose to his knees again, He coughed before his stand kicked a rock at high speeds towards Ray

CRUNCH
The rock Red's Stand booted smashed into Once, striking the Stand on the arm. The pebble he held thudded to the ground, but his arm now hung limply. Ray's arm did the same, accompanied by a howl of pain.

Sergei doubled over and panted with relief. He hadn't wanted to see Ray get hurt, but it was better than risking all of their lives on some stupid stunt.
"Wew. Just in time," he said, acknowledging Red with a nod.
He edged towards the raccoon cautiously, wanting to check whether his arm had been broken. "Ray? Are you....doing okay?" he asked tentatively.

Red stood up and pulled his hat down as he walked forward and towards Ray

Ray didn’t say anything, but held his limp limb close, rocking back and forth. His paw had already begun swelling, as did the rest of his arm.

"Yikes, I think you hit him a little hard. That doesn't look good..." Sergei said, eyeing Ray's swollen limb apprehensively. Poor guy, he'd only been trying to help them, after all. Even if his strategy had threatened to destroy the entire world...
He looked over at Shivali. "Do you think you could create a sling or something? We can't just leave him like that."

"I'm sorry that I'd rather not the world and potentially the whole Solar System be destroyed," Red stated bluntly looking at Sergei as the blood had dried on his face wound and most of the water had been wringed out of his clothes. With this statement he made a turn and walked through the forest and trees eventually finding himself on the track of the one making the fog and tracking back to the corpse of the user that had tried drowning him moments before, Red's ears perked before he scanned the environment for Jayce as he remembered him acting strange after killing the user.
"It might be the fog... but where the hell did he go?" Red said underneath his breath
Shivali grabbed one of the medkit balls and summoned one of the larger medkits she had, Approaching Ray carefully as she didn't know what he'd do in a state of pain.

Anticipating that Ray might be a little jumpy, Sergei decided to try and assist Shivali in tending to him. He walked over so that he stood in front of the injured raccoon.
"Hey, Ray? I'm real sorry your arm got hurt like that. Do you think you could let Shivali and I help you?" he asked gently, his face expressing placid calm and concern. "We just want to put that sling on for you, to help keep it supported."

After an hour or two of fixing up Ray a loud sound could be heard in the forest before the fog Slowly dissipated, After a minute or two of waiting a blur of a body crashed through a couple trees and disappeared into the night as Red stumbled back out of the forest with a few new injuries.
After he stumbled out the Speedwagon Foundation finally managed to pull into the area with a fairly roomy-looking Van in which a tall bull terrier woman wearing sunglasses peaked out the window before examining the large sent in the ground and the groups moderately injured states.

Sergei looked over at the bull terrier woman, his mouth curling into a frown and his arms crossing over his chest.
"Well, didn't you lot show up just in the nick of time. We've just finished cleaning up here, even if we all almost died in the process!" He barked. He still felt shaken up from seeing Red almost completely drowned earlier, and his frustrations were boiling to the surface now that he had someone to direct them at.

Red silently placed a hand on Sergeis shoulder and said "Steel yourself, It's straight to Chicago once we get in the van" Red walked forward and kicked Daryl angrily "IF WE SHOULD BE MAD AT ANYBODY IT'S THIS GUY"
Daryl yelled and looked at Red, he had managed to sleep through the entire fight and probably got the most night sleep out of everyone here

Ray didn't fight the treatment, and kept pretty quiet.
Jayce wandered from the treeline a few hours later, stretching. He looked like he had just woken up.

Red was leaned up against turned tree before he looked up and saw Jayce step out from the treeline "of course" He thought as he adjusted his hat "I wonder how he'll react to me breaking Ray's arm..." Red silently leaned his head back and looked at the sky was it was gradually filled with light as dawn broke against the figures of the oak trees which surrounded them
Daryl was chatting with the Bull Terrier as Shivali checked the impromptu sling she made to treat Ray's broken arm "How are you feeling?" she asked inquisitively as she started to wipe some of the blood that had solidified over her own wounds "Try as I might I don't have that much experience with tending to fractured bone so the sling might be a bit uncomfortable for a bit"
