I would want a professional concert band or even a local high school band to play my song of choice.

The song I would like played is called "Solas Ané (Yesterday's Joy)" by Samuel R. Hazo. The song was commissioned for a high school band mourning the loss of their band director. It's a very pretty song. But I'm lame and like a concert and a jazz bands' music. This piece is probably my favorite piece from this year, now signifying another loss.

Possibly Ghost River By Nightwish. It's a really interesting song, but what really made it snag this spot was the children choir in it.

It's got this violin in the background that kinda sounds funky but also nostalgic and eerie at the same time.

Hate to be stereotypical, but the classic Chopin Funeral March would be beautiful. I always loved it because it was so somber and honest, but also has an amazing and beautiful melancholy section that is incredibly peaceful.


That or Gymnopedies No. 1, which is just a peaceful classical piece that's a favorite of mine.


If we're going into modern and random songs, I want a piano cover of "Don't Give Up" from Undertale, which is just incredible.

Ironically, both are about death. I was born and raised by a beach, so the idea of a song about a ghost on a shoreline sounds comforting. On the other hand, a song that essentially says "I'm not leaving, just going back to space", sounds equally comforting.

They'll seet it. My friends and family, all gathered around my closed casket in a somber, respectful silence. My wife will read "as per his last request, we will play this song to remember him by." The lights will dim.


Suddenly, the spot lights turn on to the ceiling where my body will be madly spinning from a ceilimg fan while https://youtu.be/egSUq9NA9HA plays at maximum volume.


Then, they will all remember me for who I truely am: a crazy person.
